Long read. But before you go to this place read this review and the others. There is a reason this place has such a low rating. I wished I had looked up this business on yelp before I went in. But I felt no need to as my very first interaction with them was not bad. A few months I punctured my tire, took it there and they plugged it for me, no charge. If a business is good to me, I always go back. So I did just that, I went back to get new tires. This time, it was the worst experience ever. When asked if there was anything else I needed in addition to new tires, I knew I needed to get my fuel injector looked at, so I decided I'll let them fix that at the same time. I knew what the issue was. My check engine light was on and I got the vehicle checked out and had gotten another quote on it. So I knew what the problem was. The guy told me he'd look at it to confirm it. I said to them not to do anything to it if it was not the issue I stated and to call me before doing anything else to it. Sure enough, they called me to say that it was not the fuel injector but rather my spark plugs that needed to be replaced. They gave me a price which I agreed on to replace the spark plugs. I was assured over and over that it was not the fuel injector and that replacing the plugs would solve the issue. I asked them if they were sure, they said yes. I did not have my car all day. Fine. I go to pick up my vehicle later that day, pulling off, the check engine light was still on. I pull back to inform them that the check engine light was still on, so clearly the problem was not fixed. Along with the fact, I returned a piece of their electronic equipment that they left in my car. Which the guy said was worth 5k. I was asked to bring my car back in the morning and they will look at it again. I took photo and video of my car showing the check engine light was still on as I drove off. Oh wait, when picking up the car, they wanted to charge me $300+ for some additional work that was done, in addition to what the first person I spoke to on the phone told me. They destroyed some wires while putting in the spark plugs, and wanted me to pay for it. I was not told about it and did not give them the go-ahead to replace the wires. Let alone, I feel if you destroy something while trying to fix something else, I should not have to pay for that. The next day, I drop my vehicle off again. Another day without my car. But I get a call, towards the end of the day, even though I dropped it off in the morning, telling me that the issue was not the spark plugs as they said it was, but in fact had to do with the fuel injectors, which I told them was the issue when I first dropped the car off the previous day! Now they told me it would take $500 + to fix. I told the guy that there was no way I'd pay an addition $500 to fix the car, and wanted a clear explanation as to what I paid the previous $300 for, to replace spark plugs. Now they start telling me that they did not say changing the spark plugs will fix the issue. That they told me the spark plugs needed to be fixed first. If that was the case, which I don't believe it was, then why was I told the previous day to come and pick up my vehicle because everything was fixed. One guy, through text message, apologized to me and admitted that they had misdiagnosed the problem. Asked to keep the vehicle overnight and it would be fixed in the morning at no additional charge as a result of their mistake, and I could pick it up at 9am. This is day 2 without my vehicle. I go to pick up my vehicle at 9 am in the morning, and surprise, surprise, it was not ready. I had to be dropped off to work, which resulted in me being 2 hours late. Later that evening, I go to pick up my car and I am told that now some $600 worth of work needed to be done to it. In addition, the guy told me that they took the spark plugs that they put into the car the other day... out of the car, and replaced it with the ones I came in with. Wait, what?!?! The $300 plus spark plugs that I paid for? That makes no sense. So I paid $300 plus to get spark plugs put in. Then you take them out to put in the old spark plugs I came in with? Ok, now I'm trying to figure out what I paid for? And I find it very hard to believe that the spark plugs that were taken out 2 days later was still around, for them to be able to put them back in! At this point, clearly not being able to get a clear answer, I left while I still had a vehicle. Now, I am out $300 plus for work that was not needed. Paid for spark plugs which were taken out and replaced with old ones. Without my car for 3 days. Late 2 hours getting in to work. My car runs worse than when I took it in, and my check engine light is still on. The guy that texted me to say the issue would be fixed, is now not answering my text when I asked for a customer service number or someone in upper management that I could speak with. Called early today for a free brake inspection and spoke to Chris on the phone who told me it would take about no more than 20-40 minutes to get in and get the estimate. I arrived about 10 minutes to 10 A.M. and I spoke to another gentleman that wrote my service order up. I asked him how long it would be for my brake inspection and he said that it wouldn't be any longer than 40 minutes. That should put me at about 10:30. I waited until approximately 11:15 and I finally gave up. I got on my phone to tell my wife that I would be coming home because they were just wasting my time. The gentleman that wrote my service order I believe over heard the conversation and headed directly to the mens room as I walked to the service counter to file my complain. I spoke to another gentleman and told him that I would like my keys to my vehicle and he asked me what the problem was. I told him that I was told by Chris earlier via call that it would only take 20-40 minutes to get a brake inspection. He then told me to wait and that he would go out to the bays to see what the status was on my car. He came back in and said" Sorry you vehicle is next in line" all the while Chris was sitting their to his right and my left and did not say a word to me. I told the guy that I just wanted my keys back and I left. He then replied that if when I'm ready he would give me a smokin' deal on a brake job. No thank you! I just wanted to get out of this place. Sad because It's so close to where I live and I have been bringing all my cars here since they opened. read more

Scammers! Do not trust these guys. I took my car in for an alignment and after I got it back it had a shimmy when braking. I took it back (because they guarantee their work for 90 days) for them to look at. They called me and said that the rear alignment WAS off and they corrected it. Then they said my rotors were warped and that maybe it'd still be under warranty and take it to the dealer. (newish car) Then he continues to say that my right back tire has a slit in it, not sure how deep but that it looks like it might go to the core and it needs replacing. He continues to tell me that the right front tire is so worn it needs replacing as well. He didn't have the exact tires in stock but had similar ones for $99/ea. And all he needs is a credit card and they'll "get her done!" I said no, I'll wait and take to my dealer and see about the rotors. When I picked up my car he was obviously irked that I he didn't get to up-sell me. Handed my keys and said "oh yeah, here's the paperwork for the new alignment!" No thank you, no smile nothing. Soooo, the next day I take my car to the dealer for its 10,000 checkup, alignment, check brakes and get tires rotated. When I pick up my car it didn't need an alignment but the rotors needed replacing and they rotated the tires. I asked him, "how are the tires?" He said "they are great! All good to go!" I was horrified that Big O gave me some BS story. I will never go back there again. read more

I have much to say. I needed a transmission service on my car, Full synthetic oil change, Alignment and inspection. Super low price! I'm a handicapped army vet and on a disability, I got a discount! But I later found out all they did for $90 was let the trans fluid drain out of the plug, put the plug back in and add 6 quarts of new transmission fluid. No filter, no pan drop! Child's play. Alignment did wonders but still shows yellow or red zones. Well damn. ONE HUGE PROBLEM WE HAVE HERE IS FINDING H O N E S T AND RELIABLE MECHANICS !!! I'm not giving up on these guys, but CHANDLER and surrounding areas is a shark pool of dirty knuckle busters ! Dealers are the worst offenders for single women ! My daughter takes her little Kia in for dealer coupon oil change. Comes home with a CHINESE MENU OF NEEDED ITEMS! two year old bought new, has 13.000 miles. Needs TIRES..BALL JOINTS, ALIGNMENT. $1300 ! I'm a former vehicle maintenance specialist for a service station / Juke Joint and used tire emporium in Hattiesburg Mississippi, 50 years ago! Terrible service. Summary: Said alignment was off when not true. Didn't top of windshield wiper fluid or radiator reservoir. Didn't check tire pressure or reset tire pressure sensor which is needed after a tire rotation. More detail: Went in for $16.95 oil change with tire rotation, fluids check and chassis lube/inspection. I was informed my car uses synthetic oil, no problem, I knew this. Price was now $39.95. Should be done in 45 mins. After 1 hour they told me my air filter needed change (I declined) and that the tire wear indicated my alignment was off. Car is a year old, I declined sensing a bit of work fishing. In reality tire pressure was low causing above normal wear on the outside of the tread. After 1.5 hours, the car was finished. I headed home and a mile down the road the tire pressure indicator light came on. I pulled over and all 4 tires where at 22-24 psi. I turned around a went back. They inflated the tires to 32 psi. They didn't reset the tire pressure light, I had to pull out the manual. read more

Although a good price for a Synthetic oil change and tire rotate this place rates very low on my scale. They told me they rotated the tires when I watched them pull one tire to do their "inspection" and then put in back on. When the guy called me up to pay for the service I asked if they did the tire rotation and he said yes. I said are you sure ... he said yes.... I asked him again and he said, let me ask. He then proceeded to walk outside and walk around the truck with his "mechanic " and then came back in and said "no we did not rotate them because the tires are too bad to rotate" huh? And you were going to let me believe you rotated them and we're not going to tell me this??? This was my regular spot to go to and I have had poor service in the past as well but this pushed me over the top. Never...Never again will I go here or recomend anyone to come here. Just wanted to give a greatful shout out to BIG O Tires on South Havan Street in Aurora, CO. In particular to my guy CLINT !! Came all the way from Saratoga, WY to attend free weekend at the Denver Art Museum.....woke up to a flat tire on my little Suzuki SX4 - brought it to this BIG O -mentioned our plans to take to fast rail to the Museum. Clint left me a message w/in the hour that I was good to go....was hoping to pay over the phone so we could stay & the museum longer ...he said "its your lucky day" no charge !! He put my spare back, left the car in a safe place so we could pick it up after hours - it really made the difference toward having a GREAT day !! Just got back from Big O Tires in Gilbert, AZ. Totally surprised. I discovered a puncture this morning and drove to the local Big O expecting a long wait and a replacement tire. Despite being busy with regular work they took a mechanic off the job he was working on so I wouldn't have to wait long. They identified a nail in the tire, checked it was all good and save, no material damage, reinflated the tire and give me back the keys within 15 minutes. And here's the big surprise - absolutely no charge. They classified it as a free service due to it being straight forward. Which other businesses ever do that for any work they perform. This Big O Tire location on Lindsay did a great job on my wife's vehicle today. James the assistant manager said that the tires that my wife wanted and had researched was an excellent choice. After an inspection from RJ he also suggested shocks and struts due to the high mileage of the vehicle...over 83,000 and an alignment. This would help those tires to last.... I waited for the vehicle to be serviced which was way more tolerable than I would have imagined. There were fresh bananas apples popcorn and comfortable chairs and free WiFi. "This car now drives and rides like it's brand new." When my wife said that I knew it was money well spent on a vehicle that she loves to drive. Thanks Guys. read more

I took my car in last week for a routine oil change, and an alignment job. Within 1 hour the job was completed on my car while I sat and waited. My mechanic was Nick Trevino who did a great job in a really timely manner. He also checked my tires for wear and actually discovered a nail I didn't know was in one of them and repaired that as well at no charge for me. So grateful to the assistant Manager of the Lindsay/Warner Location Eddie Mendes I was frantically calling the Acima credit whom I got a loan with my car repairs and it was closed by the time I got off work and when you don't make the 90 day payoff your in for a huge increase! I have been going to BIG O Tires on Lindsay and Warner for years. I trust them with their diganosis each time. The staff is so friendly and courteous and CARING!! they do not have you replace an item on your vehicle if it is not necessary, they are honest and true. recently I had to leave my car there for a few days to see why it wouldn't start. they gave me a ride home, they kept in contact with me each day. Matt and Jordan were awesome! They went above and beyond to help us get our flat tire fixed. They were already closed and when we called in to see when they re-opened, they offered to come to us and fix the flat. We were able to make it to the store though and they took great care of us at the store. All of this after they closed just to help us out. read more
