When I dropped my car off to be repaired I thought it was the axel that needed replacing. It made noise 100% of the time. Nivarro Brown lied to me that the entire steering system and oil cooler needed to be replaced or my car wasn't drivable. When I picked it up it was making the exact same noise that it did when I dropped it off!! The entire problem with the car wasn't even fixed! I met with the manager Jason a few days later to discuss what happened. He told me he has already clocked out for the day. I told him I needed to talk to him about what happened. He was extremely disrespectful to me. He was mean and rude, treating me like a stupid woman. I asked him to show physically show me what was done to my car. He said no and told me I had to come back another day. When I came back the next day he was still rude and lied saying they did nothing wrong. Should've read the reviews before bringing my vehicle here. Let me start with this; the car I brought is was my daily driver, as my other car is in storage for the summer / monsoon season.. Went in for a grinding brake issue, turned out to be a pretty expensive repair.. okay fine. Got quoted at $970 range with Tyler (whom was great and had excellent customer service!) Was told my car should be done by closing (7pm), however got a call and they ran into an issue with a fitting (okay, it happens, I get it) was told they would get the part first thing in the morning and have it ready by the time I needed to leave for work (9am), Job was not completed until 11:30AM! Hours after what I was told.. Now when picking up my vehicle, I noticed the bill was about $70 MORE than what was quoted. They added a cabin air filter & air filter which was NEVER discussed. The guy at the counter basically said I was lying by saying "uh.. well we don't add anything that's not approved.." and continued to point out "did you receive this call" "well our calls are recorded so.." GOOD! Pull up the call.. I was already late for work because of them, told him I was in a rush and he continued to say "yeah it'll be a bit" and took many calls until talking to - JASON.. ah yes you've pry seen comment on him in other reviews.. well they are true, when he looked over everything he blatantly said; "well, what do you want me to do about it?" All in all, the job got completed; waiting for any issues to arise like I've seen in other reviews. Tyler is great- promote him. I brought my car here to have a flat fixed, they patched it and within 3 days the tire pressure light came on. Brought it back in, they topped off the air and turned off the light instead of actually checking the patch to see if it was still leaking. Surprise, surprise the tire pressure light came on AGAIN. I called and made an appointment so that I wouldn't have to wait. Made the appointment for noon, waited an hour and a half before they even took the car back. People who came in after me were done before me. This place is a mess, very unorganized. Will not be coming back. read more

I brought my car into here because the place I got my tires at made a mistake that they admitted to. This company charged me $180 for a sensor that they broke, 3 sensor rebuild kits they did NOT install and charged me for mounting and dismounting 4 tires that did not need to be mounted or dismounted. I had a flat tire and was going to take it in the next day when I had the day off work. On my way home I noticed a big sign that's a "big O tires" so I pulled over to the side of the road and went inside. It had been a long day already and this is the third tire repair shop I've been to, so I am worn out and just need efficient help at this point. The man quoted a price and told me that he could have it done in less than an hour; even though I wanted so badly to go home, I wandered around the area spending money I don't have for over an hour & came back for my car, only to find it in exactly the same place having not been touched since I left. The man who handled the situation shrugged his shoulders and said"do you need to go?" Not, all we can handle that for you right now. Not anything helpful or nice in anyway. It seems silly but I want to cry I don't have the time or the money to waste and I'm still in an unsafe vehicle at the end of it all. I do not think this company is reliable and I did not recommend them to anyone unless they want a lack of professionalism and they have a lot of time to spare. (No pun intended! Update 8/17 Contacted customer service as requested by the response to this review on google, at this point I would be giving zero stars if possible. 3 calls to customer service (once for initial complaint, and 2 follow up calls two weeks apart to follow-up) and absolutely no contact back. Still have not received my refund that was apparently issued on the 1st and customer service has no idea why I have not received either a refund, or contact as it has been 16 days since the initial complaint was called in. I highly suggest that you go elsewhere for products and services for your car. This place used to be good. They used to be honest, but not anymore. I trusted them because of that and they try to do a number on me. Brought my car in just for a travel check and wound up being told that I needed tires even though after the travel check, I was told everything was fine, then from needing two tires, it went to. I needed an alignment. When I brought it back for an alignment, I waited at a nearby café for them to call which they never did. When I went back to get my car, they told me they had not done the alignment because I needed struts, and they could not do an alignment without because of that. . I was mad because I waited long and they never even called me after about an hour and a half I went back over there myself only to be given that news. I told him I had to leave. He was playing on the computer like he was looking around for struts for me, and told me that he didn't know how long it would take to get them, and that he may even to get them from overseas! I just took my keys and went home, and then I checked with my dealer on the struts and my dealer told me they were $400 each. Then I called them back and they told me that the dealers said they were $800 each. it was then that I knew how dishonest they really were. So I brought my car elsewhere and they told me that I did not need struts and did the alignment for me $125 and I'm done now! This is terrible that they were trying to take advantage like this. If I could give less than one star, I would! Dropped my car off at 10:30 for an oil change and free alignment (I bought the three year package). They said car would be done by noon. I went next door for breakfast at IHOP. Oh and the $14.95 early bird oil change actually is $21.95 after FEES. I returned at noon and my car was just getting the oil changed on it. I didn't get out of there till 12:36. When I came in they told me I need new tires. I just bought my tires one year ago. On the paperwork when the guy inspected everything he said the tires were OK (choice of ok, suggested, required). Of course they told me all the things I need done on my car. I will have my mechanic verify. Usually it doesn't need to be done. I will not go to this location again. In the past I've been happy with the Greenfield and Main location. read more

Horrible customer service at this location. Twice now in the last 3 months has been poor. I called and asked if they honored competitor coupons, they said "yes, bring it on down". After the service they said they use "different products" and the coupon would NOT be honored, but they would give me a $20 discount, when he coupon was for a $60 difference. Second time was on tires that I bought and bought the warranty. But apparently the warranty covers EVERYTHING but replacement, even though there is only 12k miles on a 60k mile tire and they say metal is showing on 2 of the tires. 2 of 4 tires have metal showing on them after 12k miles????? Either a piss poor tire, or the mounting was way off. Had a nail in the middle of one tire. They put a plug in the nail. I paid for the warranty service, yet they didn't have the time or inclination to do a proper tire patch, by pulling the tire off and patching it from the inside, like they are supposed to do. Just have to double check everything they do and say. Of course my air and cabin filters need to be changed, like they say EVERY time. Up sale, up sale, up sale. That's what they do. They don't care about YOUR needs, its about the up sale. I only go to this place because of prior warranty purchases. If I had to start fresh again, I would avoid this shop like the plague!!!!! read more

Car A/C went out. Paid quite a chunk of change to have a hose replaced. 3 days later, it broke again. Took it back in and said another hose broke, and it will cost $500 to fix. I argued with them a little and said they could fix it for about $450. I said no thank you and I would like a second opinion. Went to pick up my car and asked if they could show me what was broken. They said they'd can't because they would have to pull the car apart again. Should have paid attention to the negative reviews. I definitely felt that I was getting the run around and being ripped off. read more

Came in for a simple oil change no biggie right? this is our extra car that we don't need to use all the time. Took 2 1/2 hours to get done, during which they constantly tried to upsell me and then when I denied the work, they attempted to buy the car from me stating an employee was interested in it. So I have a customer I'm left wondering what that 2 1/2 hours so long because they were inspecting my car for actual work that needs to be done or for a future purchase. Never returning to this location and will be filling a complaint with the general manager. Once again this all happened over an oil change. read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go there! This place is a ripped off. Spent $800 on 4 brand new tires with warranty and blah blah blah. Come to find out 2 months later while I was driving out of the state one of my tire had a big bulge on it. Gave them a called since my tires are still under warranty they said they will order me a tire which will take about 2 days. 2 days turned into 6 months! After 20 calls they told me my tires were on back order. Of course you're tire store and you don't have them instock. Thankfully I did have a full size tire to drive on while I waited on my "back order tire" to come in. At first this place sounds like a promising honest shop. They convinced me that my car need transmission flush, brake fluid flush and another flush which I don't remember what it was. If I do all three jobs I'll get $70 off. Sounds like a great deal so I had them done since it needed to be done anyway. My car hit 100,000 miles , I took my car in for a tune up at my friend's garage. He looked at what my car needed and told me the brake fluid is dirty. How could it possibly be when I just had it done at BIG O???? I work in a restaurant near by, one day I got a phone call from them saying that why do we have our to go menu there since they say no soliciting. I don't know why maybe a customer came in to eat and grab a to go menu then go get their car fix at Big O. The guy on the phone ask me if I can do something like give them a free meal for being "Soliciting" I was like are you kidding me? I'm so done with this place. read more

The front desk supervisor (along with his mechanic) both told me the entire system was shot. Wanted to charge me over $1200, Offered "financing" as well. ... I walked away. Took my car to the dealership near superstition springs mall. -they added freon, charged me $20. System works fine, they said. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau with regard to this Big O location because that is horribly dishonest and simply the worst service I've gotten from any company anywhere in my 40 years. MAYBE THEY RIPPED ME OFF!!! Long story but could save you in the end - I needed a specific tire replaces and they replaced the wrong one on purpose without consulting me the customer - I found out the next day when I woke up to a flat tire again and saw that a different tire than requested was replaced. Their explanation was that they believed the tire they changed was in greater need of replacement - even though we looked at all four tires together and agreed that only the tire I requested needed changed. To prove their point they pulled out an old tire that looked like it was machined down to the steel in a very isolated 3" area that looked nothing like the ware on the rest of the tire. My fault - should have checked the work immediately, but instead, assumed that their smiling faces and well wishes while I paid them meant all was done according to plan. So did they mistakenly change the wrong tire and then grind it down to the metal to cover their rear ends? I think so, but maybe not... What they did do was leave enough room in my mind to speculate and feel responsible enough to warn others of their poor practice. read more

I have been going to this big o tires for the past 4 years and have probably spent about $2,000 + on tires and services. They were great about getting me tires and all but the second I come back to get a tire replaced on warranty because the tread was separating from the tire, they pull out the fine print of my warranty (it was the tiniest print you've ever seen) and asked for my service records for every 5,000 miles since I bought the tire. It had been about 20,000 miles so I would have needed to produce at least 4 records of service. I'm sure this is company policy and they are following protocol but seriously, 20,000 miles and the tread is separating and you won't honor the warranty on an obviously defective tire? We'll here I am telling my story and will never go back to that store or any other big o tire ever again. I'll make sure all my friends know about this as well. A little customer service would have gone a long way here but they blew it. Walmart came to the rescue and I got a new tire for 1/2 the price the "offered" to replace the bad tire for. I came in yesterday to order a tire (due to a nail) and put a "deposit," which is paying for the entire tire. I got a call around 9 am that it was in, so I rushed over to get it handled. Only one other person was waiting in the lobby. They left shortly after I sat down. I have been waiting in the lobby for two and a half hours when I finally asked how much longer should I expect to wait. I was then informed that I was "next in line as there were many appointments." I told him I had seen several people walk in without appointments. Some of which left 30 minutes to an hour before I approached the counter to inquire about my vehicle. Shortly after I asked, my car was taken to the back for repair. If someone were waiting at my workplace for an extended period of time, I would provide an update. There was a lady who walked in 30 minutes after I, who had a nail in her tire and needed her alignment checked with no appointment. She left 30 minutes before my car was taken back. There are plenty of better shops! I have been here three times due to the location, and the service has never been excellent. Find a different shop that values people's time and money. There was also negative banter with other customers about Covid that should be left at home and not in a professional business. read more

These people are either crooks, or incompetent. I asked for a basic oil change and an estimate to repair the passenger's side windshield wiper. I was told fixing the wiper required "blowing the whole thing up" to replace one pin. That would be an hour's worth of labor: $125 for the windshield wiper repair only (not including the oil change). It may cost more "when they got in there". They also told me the battery tested very weak, running at about 36%. I searched You Tube for how to replace the windshield wiper pin for my specific make and model. Every video was less than 7 minutes. Some were only 3 minutes. 7 minutes of work costs $125? Yeah right. Knowing that the battery was still under warranty at Auto Zone and replacing one little pin on the windshield wiper didn't take anywhere close to an hour to replace, I told them I didn't have time to wait. Suddenly, the repair would "only take a few minutes ", but presumably still cost $125. I paid for the oil change and left. Guess what happened next? After driving a mile, I discovered they disconnected the *driver's* side windshield wiper. It had been working fine when I originally drove it on the lot. It was pouring rain, so I went back and told him his guys disconnected the working wiper and didn't reconnect it. Now, it didn't work at all. "That's strange," he replied. "Yes, it is, since it had been working fine for months," I responded. They reconnected it, only to have it disconnect again a few miles down the road. When I went to Auto Zone, I watched him test my battery and I saw the results. Guess what? It was running at 96%. That's another $150 Big O tried to bamboozle me out of. Crooks or incompetent buffoons. Either way, STAY AWAY from these losers, that is unless you want more stuff broken on your car than when you drove it on the lot. read more

I purchased front tires in September 2016, and an alignment was done at the same time. Just 5 months later my tires are worn so badly and needed replacing, I was even told they were unsafe to drive on. The Big O employee said I needed a $1,000 , of work done to replace broken parts. I decided to get a second option after taking it to an honest mechanic, I found out there were no broken parts. The alignment that had been done in September was way off which caused the bad tire wearing. The employee Tucker was rude and argumentative and not willing to guarantee the tires or alignment. I had been a long time Big O customer, I will never return and advise others to stay away from this location. Buyer beware This place doesn't deserve the one star!!!! read more

Took my car in to get an oil change , they called and said I had a nail in the side wall that couldn't be repaired and that they recommended getting 2 new tired in the front as they were bald. Let them know I had road hazard from Walmart so I took it there after to get the tire checked and they said they could not find anything in my tire , no nail, also my tires have plenty of tread and do not need replaced yet. Big O did just fine on my oil change but not impressed that they tried to make a tire sale by lying to me that there was a nail in it that couldn't be repaired. read more

There is a reason why reviews are so bad. Went in for an oil change was lied to and told my car had to have synthetic. Total was approaching $80 with $10 off. I called the car dealer and they said no you don't need synthetic. Watch out for these guys all they do is try an add-on garbage. Great service, no problems with quick oil and coolant change. Read reviews, was worried but car need oil change and I use these guys back home (on vacation) so I know they can do quick simple repairs. Called ahead to make appointment, they got my car in fast, took about an hour for oil and coolant change. Very happy and no hidden fees.
