Great location, after upgrading my suspension to all new front, rear struts and shocks, ball joints and tie rods I was Definetly going to need an alignment. HONEST people!!! I was up in the area for the first time, from L.A. and had to take care of a flat tire. Took it in to have it "repaired" but the puncture was in the sidewall so the tire had to be replaced. The gentleman running the place was great! He gave me all my possible options, including finding the tire cheaper at Costco. I had them replace it for a very reasonable price. Best customer service you could ever ask for!! read more

I took my car in to have the front axles and CV boots replaced on a 2001 Hyundai Elantra they were priced very fairly for the labor considering I purchased my own parts. They had my car done in no time and couldn't believe how it drove like a brand new car. I put a hundred miles a day on my car traveling to and from work so this has been a great relief to me. I had noticed my car feeling "very wobbly" the past couple weeks and now I know why...anyways, I googled places near me as we are new to Merced and this place was the soonest to be open and had very good reviews. We got there right when it opened (at 7:30) and was met by Margaret. She was very down to Earth and her customer service was on point.. I ended up needing two new tires and she gave them to me at a very fair price. She had even misread my rim size and still gave me the original quote. Never have I ever been disrespected as I was today. I called Terry to ask to save my parts so when I picked up my car, I could visually see the parts that were bad. Granted, they were only 2 carbon filters, but I paid $60 bucks for them and wanted to see what they look like. As he handed me the bag, in a smartass way, he said "Don't know what you're going to do with them!" Little does he know, I save all old parts and records as I can sell my car for $5,000 because I keep up with my vehicle. I expressed this to him and he continued to shake his head and say, "Still don't know why you would want them!". It's not like I can reuse them or sell them to someone else, so I'm not sure what he was thinking I would do with them. No reason to have an attitude when all I asked was for my old parts. Last Saturday we were driving from Sacramento to Madera towing a trailer. Just as we entered Merced a tire on my trailer started coming apart. After pulling over I noticed two tires were shot and wouldn't last another mile! I made a few calls and the guys at Big O Tires had the new tires in stock for a great price installed. Consistently superior service. Several years ago I took a car in for a flat with one Big O tire and they fixed the flat for free, even though it was not their tire that went bad. Since then, (about 9 years and 4 cars and a motorhome later) I go to them first for everything. I trust the staff completely. They are friendly, professional and most importantly, honest. Recently, we needed four tires and Costco had cheaper tire prices, on the surface, but didn't mention details like warranty, mounting, balancing and stems. I guess I came at the wrong time because the employee who does the oil changes was out at lunch, I proceeded to ask how long? He said, about "2 hours" I didn't have that kind of time, so I ended up making an appointment in the A. M. Everything worked out fine and my SUV came out with new tires and fresh oil change.... These guys helped one of my clients who were headed through town. I own an RV rental company, and recently had a front window replaced on one of our units- but the window tech did not re-install the wiper arm correctly. I called this Big-O at 8am on a Saturday Morning because I needed to find someone to help my client. Not only were they super helpful on the phone, but they fixed the wiper on the RV!! This isn't even their core business!- I mean most places even hear the word RV needing repair and they say No way, can't do it. It was a small issue, but then they didn't even charge for the fix.
