Very disappointed in the place. I decided to call for an estimate for front and rear brakes since we have been here before for tires and had a great experience. I was given an estimate by Joe for $450 (front and rear brake pads and labor). I had our car serviced at the Toyota dealership 4 days ago and was told I would need new brake pads but that the rotors were still good and maybe just needed to be grinded or turned. Toyota quoted $600 which is why I went to Big O. I dropped my car off this morning and left my phone number with instructions to call if the car needed anything more than brake pads. When I returned I was greeted with over a $1000 bill! I questioned why it was so expensive when I was quoted $450 and I was told it needed 4 brand new rotors and new brake fluid. I explained that no one called me to get approval for additional charges. There was another employee listening to our conversation who sided with me and told the guy to take the brake fluid off if no one called me for approval. They did take off the $100 brake fluid, but still charged me for rotors which I also didn't approve and frankly don't think I really needed given what I was told 4 days ago by the Toyota dealership. The only good thing I can say is that the staff seemed friendly enough and my car was finished by the time it was promised. Other than that I feel like I was taken to the cleaners and had to pay $850 when I was expecting to pay $450-500. I will not be returning to this location and will try Discount Tire down the street next time. read more

I made an appointment after getting of work on a Friday afternoon. I'm in between houses where I can do my own oil services but didn't have the time this go around. I showed up and there was one car in the shop. I was there to get just a simple synthetic oil change without a tire rotation. They got my car in the shop quick. The oil change took over an hour and was $20 more than what I got quoted on the phone when I made the appointment. I was overall unhappy with the speed and cost of the service. I usually do my own oil changes and this experience is exactly why. Not going back here. Not recommended. read more

I'm now on my fourth set of tires from the Big O in Monument (2 each on two different vehicles). I'm a little slow in learning but there are two different Big O experiences, one when you are buying tires and another altogether when you want them serviced. Always able to get you in when there's several hundred $$ on the line for a new set of tires but seemingly never available time to actually take advantage of the "free tire rotation" service. I've now been told on three successive attempts that they can't fit me in. And on a prior set of tires, they denied my warranty coverage on a set that wore poorly because we hadn't maintained the "recommended" rotation schedule. So if you want new tires installed, they'll be happy to get to you today. If you want the promised service, you'll need to schedule an appointment weeks out. Convenient location yes. Reasonable service not so much. read more

Maybe they've improved -- I haven't been here in a long time (8 years ago?). But at that time I felt really ripped off on some strut work they did. For tires I'd go elsewhere, since they like to stick in junk fees. read more

Had to take my truck back twice after paying 1300$ for a set of tires and an aliment, my truck still rides like shit and got an attitude from the dudes there. My truck was new and had never had a problem with my steering until they put hands on it. Pulls to the right and my truck shakes after 65mph. To anyone considering a purchase from Big O Tires, STAY AWAY if you want to avoid time without a vehicle and major headaches. Last year I purchased 4 tires with a warranty to cover my vehicle in case of accident; I was unfortunate enough to have to test this warranty. While driving on the highway, a piece of road debris fell from a truck in front of me, and damaged one of my tires. I immediately replaced the tire with a spare and drove to Big O Tires in Denver. I was told that the tire I purchased, from their OWN company, was discontinued. They would then have to ship me a tire within the next 12 hours. I explained that I lived an hour away and was told that driving to my house would not be a problem. However, on the drive home I noticed a burning smell coming from my vehicle. After researching, I found that driving for extended periods of time in an AWD vehicle with different tire sizes can cause damage to the drivetrain. To avoid any further damage I took the vehicle to Big O Tires in Monument. At this point is where delays really start to add up. I was told that each store is a franchise and I couldn't simply bring the tire down from Denver to the store in Monument for them to replace. The tire now had to be re-ordered and would take 3-4 days instead of the 12 hours it took for Denver (It actually took 5 days). I had to call the store multiple times to get an update. When they went to put the tire on they discovered a nail in a different tire and needed to order ANOTHER replacement. Because I work in Denver I offered to pick the tire up from their warehouse to avoid the 3-4 day shipping. I was told this is not possible. They ordered the part on a Monday, and after not receiving any calls from them; I called them on Friday. I was told that they did not receive word from the warehouse but they would follow up with me after they gave a call to them. The weekend passed and I STILL did not hear from them so I called AGAIN on Monday. Once again, I was told they needed to call the warehouse; I waited another 4 hours to hear back. I was then told that replacing 2 tires is not optimal and that I would need to replace all 4 at once. I was informed that 1 tire would be covered and 2 would be replaced under warranty, BUT I would still have to pay for the 4th tire! Overall this experience lasted 2 weeks without a vehicle and I still had to wind up paying for a replacement EVEN THOUGH I purchased the warranty to be safe. To avoid these headaches I highly recommend NOT BUYING FROM BIG O TIRES. If you decide that you want to risk it; do NOT purchase the warranty (It is pointless and only adds a level of complexity to the whole transaction). read more

Third time this place has tried to screw me since "Nick" has been there. I use to love this shop! Now I would say away!!!!!! Brought them my snow tires. and payed to have them swapped. They called and tried to up sell me new ones. I said "no", Then they refused to change them and I had to get a refund. REALLY? GUYS? It takes a lot for me to leave anyone a bad review. I work in Monument took my (2011 BMW) car in two get the front two tires replaced, picked up my car on my lunch break and immediately noticed while I was driving that the tire was hitting the side of the car. Called them when I got back to work and they said sorry we put the wrong two tires on. They came to my job to pick up my car to put on the correct two tires. Picked it up once I got off of work and immediately again while driving noticed a wobbling feeling coming from the right side. Took it back for a 3rd time and now they are telling me the right back tire needs replacing. How did they not know this when replacing the front two tires? These guys are not professionals the manager basically said they don't test drive the cars after installing tires, don't they have to drive them from the bay to the parking lot...that was enough of a distance to identify the tire issues. I told them my reflector was missing after the installation of my tires, no mention of that when I returned for my cars, I waited about 10 minutes for one of the guys to find my misplaced keys, they forgot I put a $100 deposit down for the tires....nothing professional about this business at all. I have purchased four sets of tires from this store on three different vehicles. Every set of tires was exactly what they td me it would be. One time they didn't tighten my hub cap down and it fell off the next day. I called them and they ordered it immediately. I love their free tire rotation and free flat fix. 2 stars because they were very nice. But let's see. Alignment was still off after they did it. Tpms light was on when I went in, told them it was on. Still on when I left. Invoice said it was off. Wrong. Tires way out of balance after leaving. Went to Walmart and they had to add 5oz of weight just to get them balanced. Didn't bother going back to big o to fix since they got all 3 jobs wrong the first time. Had to pay another shop to get the alignment done. And beware, if you bring in your own tires purchased online, they price gouge you to mount. Just go to Walmart. As much as people complain about Walmart, they always get the tires done right. read more

I've been here several times and the crew has always taken great care of me. I first brought my vehicle here when Brakes Plus over torqued the lug nuts on my vehicle. I bent tools trying to get it off at home. These guys were able to get it off after breaking a couple of their sockets. Cost to me - 1 lug nut. I've been coming back ever since. read more

I bought tires from this outfit. When I left, the tire pressure on 1 of the 4 tires was 50 pounds PSI, another was 41 PSI another was 45 PSI and another was 39 PSI. All they had to do was put on 4 new tires and set the air pressure to the factory required level. A bigger bunch of numb skulls I have never seen. read more

Apparently you don't get what you pay for if you use a coupon. I brought a coupon for an alignment and got the car back with a note that "the toe was a little out." Driving away, it still pulled right. Figuring something bigger was wrong I finally took it to the stealership and cautioned them not to simply align it and return it still pulling right. Well, all they did was align it and it tracks straight and true. All Big O did was take my $59. Something about camber that it's technicians didn't bother to learn at school. read more

I am a resident in the Monument area of Colorado. On 7/2/18 I went into the Big O Tires in Monument Colorado, I was informed they only had two tires left and to come back in about 30 minutes and my car would be ready . Once I arrived back at the business establishment I was handed my set of keys and went up front to pay my bill. While the employee was swiping my credit card we all heard a loud noise and turned around to see what had happened . On the date of 07 - 02 - 2018 at around 3:30 pm. my car was backed into by the same employee that had handed me the keys to my car in another customers vehicle. The manager showed no surprise that this had happened. He handed me a handwritten card and informed me that I just needed to go down to the body shop up the street and get an estimate, and he would take care of everything. I had asked multiple times if I should call the local police and make an official statement and the manager informed me that since he is Corporate that is completely unnecessary and then again informed me that I just need to go down and get the estimate. Having never been in this situation before, I left the Big O Tires and drove up the street to the location he gave me on the card. The shop had relocated to a place further up the street I drove all the way over there and upon my arrival multiple people in The Establishment told me that this happens at this Big O Tires all the time. Including a car falling off of a lift a week before and multiple other incidents. The shop Big O sent me to informed me that they are in extreme debt to them because of how many accidents they get in. The estimator then called the manager Nick on the phone and specifically informed him that he is trying to "help him out" with the estimate and do the least amount to keep the cost down, but that my car was damaged bad enough that I would need a rental vehicle. Nick then told the gentleman that there were no more rental cars available, so that was out of the question. I was immediately uneasy about the situation knowing that my car would not be fixed back to factory settings the way it was before I drove into that Big O Tires that day. Colorado law states that I I'm allowed to choose any establishment that I see fit to do the repairs on my car. I then left that bodyshop and drove to a very trusted company who has worked on my car in the past. After receiving my estimate I promptly emailed Nick the outcome of the estimate. I was then called by Nick and told that the estimate was too high and he was unwilling to pay it. He said he will not be paying it unless I go to the shop that he prefers. Nick and I have had multiple conversations and came up with a solution that I would get a completely impartial estimate from another collision center who is completely impartial to me and my vehicle. I then went and got another estimate from someone completely different and sent him over the information. After about a week and a half of no response I resent the email informing him that I was ready to have my vehicle fixed, because I was beginning to notice interior damage from recent rain storms. He said that he still thinks that the estimate is too high and he refuses to pay it. I then went to another Collision center and got another quote from another trusted agency that I believe would fix my car back to factory settings. I then went over to the Dealership that I bought my car from in 2015, and I got another estimate for the damages brought on by the Big O Tires. All the estimates were very similar. I then informed Nick that I got all of the estimates and he said they are still too high and he refuses to pay them. He then offered to come to my place of employment to pick up my vehicle and take it where he sees fit. After getting the run around and being very disrespected by this gentleman I did not feel comfortable with that situation. I then informed him of Colorado state law informing him that I can take my car to any place that I see fit. He then said that he will contact me after he goes over the estimates and he will let me know what he will be willing to pay. Big O Tires helped me out with an oil change, transmission fluid flush, and, later on, an emergency alternator replacement. Great group of people working there. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to look at my truck and diagnose the problem in minutes. Fair prices, as well. I highly recommend them. read more

Update, The owner contacted me and stated that the damage was routine and that the machine that they use is designed to mar the wheels. I advised him I would contact the corporate office due to his demeanor and the owner stated that I could not do that and that if I did not deal with him than nothing would be done for me. He was dismissive and assured me I was incorrect in the statement that rims should not be damaged by trained tire staff. He stated that he would email and send the pictures to the tire machine engineers and that they would support him and the damage was normal. He was not helpful or willing to discuss his staff's liability in this manner beyond denying any damage. He failed to even apologize for what was done as he maintained an air of condescension. He said he has been in the automotive industry for twenty years and this is how it goes. They have failed to contact me since and the reply they posted below is a lie. read more

I would think a somewhat professional store like Big O would like to be represented professionally. The first people we see when we walk in the door are the counter people. I have issue with one person who works there. I dont have issues with the mechanics, they did a fine job but the front desk person does not seem belong in this position. I told her 4 things that I needed done to the car and she neglected to have two of those things done when I picked up my car. She is the one responsible for writing up the ticket and telling the mechanic what needs to be done. The most important thing I needed was the alignment and that was one thing that was not done. Unreal!!!! I was upset that I had to leave my car AGAIN and this time I talked to a very nice young man and explained the situation to him. He made sure those two additional things were completed and I wish I knew his name so I could compliment him. I wont go back there until they get new counter help. read more

I recently bought four tires at Big O and then they told me I needed $356 of additional work done. Although I am not a mechanic, I told them I would wait even though they stated it was a safety issue, but never notated nothing on my paperwork when I bought the tires. I then told my friend who is a mechanic for a local dealership about this and he stated he would do the repairs for me for a fraction of the cost. I bought the parts and the mechanic came to do the work and when he put the car up to make the repairs, he informed me that there was nothing wrong with what they told me needed to be fixed "as soon as possible". I then toook it to another Big O to have an alignment done to see if they would tell me the same thing about the repairs and they did not mention one word of any repairs needing to be done. I have been going to Big O for years which now makes me question whether I have had work done in the past that did not need to be done. I will never step foot in the Big O in Monument and when I have to have my tires rotated, I will go to another Big O. I regret not going to Discount Tires where I could of purchased better name brand tires for less. I do not trust Big O in Monument and neither should you! read more
