Told the guy to fix one tire under hazard warranty and I had no money. Come back two hours later gives me a bill for $260 when my tires cost $130... added a bunch of service charges and labor !? The rep was Chris he slammed other people in line with bogus charges as I overheard. This place charged me $250 for one tire that costs 120.. and charged labor and didn't fix my tire pressUte sensor. I received the absolute best service and value. I went in to purchase tires for my CR-V and the tires I chose were high end and a bit pricey. The sales man, talked me out of the more expensive tires, and sold me a less expensive set. After speaking with him, he knew exactly what kind of tires I needed, and they were not the high ends ones, he could have easily sold me. HONESTY and INTEGRITY! This why I go back. I thought that big o was reputable and kind, but I was wrong! I only came back to that location because of a positve 1st experience getting off the whiz from Nevada! It was pouring rain and my tire light came on. I only needed air and Luke advised me to get new tires in front before heading back. Okay no problem, only to go back and my car drove just fine and I knew of 1 oem rim lexus fixed. Blair needs to really watch how he speaks to people and I refused service because, 1 I didn't need tires, I had 75% left on them. These incompetent people bent my spoke and I immediately called them because my car was pulling to the right! They think they got over, but no they didn't I posted my video and audio call everywhere I could! I am contacting the BBB as well! They tried to say I hit a pothole!!! Seriously?? NOT! I took my car to a Real Reputable place and they advised me that if I hit a pothole, my tire would have blown right there! My rim is bent on the spoke and that is from them mishandling my car and also damaging the right rim! Funny how I only had 1 welded rim 2 days prior from Lexus and now Inhave 4 bad rims because of Blair and the incompetent employees trying to get over on a woman and especially a black woman! *** I should have listened to the guy that was there before me and told me to run because they were about to screw me over! This is my first time posting a negative post but this is bugging me so Much. Had a bad experience here. Selected some tires on line and was given a breakdown of the price which included the tire protection plan, tire installation package and Tpms rebuild prices. Knowing not all fees were listed I expected some additional fees would be tacked on. I Get to the shop and was told the price I received on line did not include the protection plan even though the quote listed a price for it. The rep said the website was wrong. Once I got over that surprise I asked for the total price with the protection package and was given a different number. Then the rep said because my car is all wheel drive he could not sell me a protection plan. I was confused at this point. Because the website allowed me to select it but didn't charge me for it but at the same time should have not allowed me to select it in the first place. In the end I left paying a lot more for less than what I expected to get and because they waited to tell me until after they took the wheels off my car I had no other choice. I left there with a bad taste in my mouth and just paid the bill so I could cut my loses and get out of there. Sorry not sorry Big O but you get a big zero from me. read more

Had my wife's car towed there because it wouldn't start. They got us in right away, turns out it was the battery, not the alternator and they replaced it. They could have said it was the alternator or even both, but they were upfront and honest. Will bring my car there when I need an oil change. read more

I moved to Phoenix a few years ago. I didn't have a mechanic and was sad I couldn't find a good one. One day I went in all upset about my AC not working. They found the problem within five minutes and didn't even charge me as it was something so minor. I went in after getting my car repaired at another place a few months later. My car made a weird noise after getting it repaired at Meineke. Same thing, minor issue with no charge. Just had to screw a bolt on that Meineke didn't. I've been in for multiple oil changes. Last time it took a few hours due to a few difficult customers and I'm sure other things out of my sight. They were doing the best they could as usual. I got 15% off for waiting so long. You guys are awesome. Being a female, it is hard to find trustworthy mechanics. I hope to never be let down by them! read more

I set an appointment and they said it would be an hour and a half. I walked somewhere to eat and kill some time and when I got back an hour and 45 minutes they hadn't even done the oil change I scheduled the appointment for. I NEVER heard of a 3 hour oil change. I had a appointment at 3:30pm my car didn't get taken back until after 5:30pm. Luis the salesman is extremely rude and unprofessional he argued with other sales people, and complained of another female employee leaving before she was supposed to and referred to her as "your little girlfriend" to the other female employee. When I asked Luis why my car was being started so late he said I don't know your not my costumer I won't help you with anything. read more

A couple months back, I stopped into this location to get a oil change for my car. I was greater and assisted by THOMAS ARMSTRONG. Thomas wanted to add a fuel system flush onto the oil change, but cost almost $120 extra so I declined, he nicely offered to have it added on as a discounted price but also was just too expensive for me so I nicely declined. He told me he would throw it on for free and told me the EURO oil change for my car was going to cost $222. I asked THOMAS ARMSTRONG the reason for it being so much, he told me the EURO oil is good to up to 10,000 miles. So I genuinely thought that it made sense. After going back and looking at all my maintenance receipts for my car I noticed my big o oil change receipt and took a nice look to find out THOMAS ARMSTRONG charged me over $100 for this fuel system flush that was suppose to be added on for free. I called Big o and THOMAS ARMSTRONG actually ended up answering, I talked with him about the situation and he told me he would take a look and call me back. But the one thing he never did was call me back or I almost am certain didn't care or take a look and never called me back. I think the reason THOMAS ARMSTRONG didn't call back was because someone finally noticed the stuff he was tricking people into doing. This is honestly such a messed up thing to do to your customers and would never ever hire or let anyone work at my business with that kind of scheme he's doing. Never going back. For starters, I came in at 9:30 for a new tire after I got a flat the night before. While I was there, I thought I'd get an oil change. The man who worked with me, Tom, told me my other tires were near their end so I had no problem getting them all replaced. Was I frustrated? Sure, but I'd rather get it done now. My issue with Tom was his tone. He was incredibly condescending and even offered to call my dad to answer any questions he may have. I'm a 20 year old woman. I know I'm young. I know I don't know as much about cars as someone working in a tire shop. But I know how to make my own decisions on my own car. I let it slide as he told me it'd take him about an hour and I'd be out the door. 11 rolls around and I ask him about how much longer it'd be because I was going to walk to the Denny's up the road. He chose that moment to tell me my battery was near the end and I should replace it. I say okay because, again, I just wanted it taken care of and I figure, what's an extra $60-$100? Oh buddy. A whole other hour passes. They're getting ready to put my new tires on. I ask Tom how much the battery would be because he didn't give me options. He tells me the battery will cost $200 and the installation would be $110 and my walkout price for everything would be $700. Now I'm no mechanic but from what I've learned from Wal-Mart and Auto Zone is that installation is free and batteries are not $200. When I called him out on it he gave me this pretty long, unnecessary story of how long he's been doing this and how I'm making a mistake and he doesn't want me coming back in two days begging him to help me. I'm not saying Tom was pulling a fast one on me because I'm a young woman, I'm saying his communication skills are severely lacking and instead of getting mad at customers for questioning his bs and not giving me an option is unacceptable. I was finally able to leave at 1:30, no new battery 'cause I refused. Young women of Phoenix, you don't need to be a mechanic to be treated with respect. I brought my 2014 Toyota Avalon (which drives perfectly) to this Big O Tire location on 7th St on 12/11/2019 to simply buy two new tires and then get my wheels aligned. I was the victim of fraud. After they got the car up on the rack, they called me and told that they couldn't align the wheels, because they said I had a bent steering control arm. They gave me an estimate of over $1400 to repair the control arm. They also said I might consider replacing the opposite control arm and struts as a preventative matter. So, I asked another mechanic to look at my car up on a rack. To my amazement, he said the control arm was not bent at all and that the wheels could easily be aligned. He showed me the very straight control arm! I will be reporting this shop to the State Attorney General, as they committed fraud. They gave me a written estimate which informed me that a part was broken which is not. Stay far away from this Big O Tire, as they are not honest. read more

Not only did they lie about my mother requesting a alignment when she said to contact her, because they did she couldn't afford the road hazard warranty. When she went in the manager Jonah said she would have take him to court to get the money back. She finally had to complain to corporate before she could get a refund. So when she had a leak in one of the brand new tires, within a day of getting the new tire, and then a chunk was missing from the inside of the driver side passenger tire within a week, she had to go back in. But they don't have the tire. So she ends up having to go to a different store because Jonah asked her to go pick it up, who was surprised he didn't come to get it. They tell her she has to buy the tire. So she had to pay AGAIN for a new tire...2 weeks later not hitting any curbs which is what their excuse was. Because according to Jonah she had gotten her money back and she didn't have a "road hazard warranty." I would NOT trust this store with any purchase EVER. read more
