I do not recommend using this shop. I got my car's break pads and rotors replaced here and spent almost $900. Eight months after the work was done on my car, I started experiencing issues with my breaks. I took the car in to get checked out and the technician who looked at it could not figure out what the issue was. I recently took my car to another mechanic who had to install new front break pads and rotors because the technicians at this store installed the incorrect parts on my car and wore the caliber, which also had to be replaced. The store manager has been less than helpful. Don't go here. read more

Took my truck in to change out my tires and do a safety and emissions check, passed the safety and emissions test left the shop and my check engine light comes on along with my engine misfiring. Please read this!! The majority of reviews for this location of Big O tires are one star. Big red flag right there. They really do not care about customer service. I was told there would be a wait time of an hour or possibly an hour and a half. In reality it took over 3 hours to mount and balance 4 tires. Never a word from the staff. When I did receive my vehicle all of the instrument bells, buzzers and red warning lights were on for the tires. The flustered, immature tire tech was unable to connect the the computer to the car when I took it back. Totally f***** u* place.... read more

Such a freaking joke. I was on the phone with them all afternoon Friday ordering a trailer tire and wheel. Went to pick up the tire and wheel when I was promised and the gentlemen who helped me completely screwed up the order, told us the wrong price, didn't pick up the order and then tried to lie and make it seem like I didn't tell him or he was confused. I went in to get an alignment done on my car after getting my tie rods replaced (elsewhere). My boyfriend was with me, but when we walked in, I was the one talking and giving information about the services MY car needed. When my car was finished, (pretty quick service, good job there). The gentleman that had helped me previously asked if someone had talked to us yet, we both said no, and I stood up and to get my keys. He ignored me completely, and kept telling the information to my boyfriend, all while I responded to everything he was saying. The more he explained, the more he leaned the clipboard away from me (standing) and toward my sitting boyfriend. When he finally finished mansplaining the alignment, I walked up to the counter, expecting to get the papers he had shown to my boyfriend, but instead he threw them in the trash. He didn't tell me the amount i was being charged before running my card (not an issue, it's just usually polite to let someone know the amount they're paying for their boyfriend to learn all about what is wrong with a car that isn't his). Overall not the worst service, but I was INCREDIBLY displeased that I was not treated like a competent human being because I brought a man in with me. read more

In a press for time, I pulled into this Big O store just off the Mountain Corridor. My wife had pick up a really large screw in a tire. I went to the closest place because she had a Dr's appointment and didn't have time to go to my regular Dealer. They took me in right away - properly dismounted the tire, and patched the hole from the inside - remounted the wheel and tire, and told me there was no charge! No phony trying to sell me something I didn't need. And they couldn't have been nicer - to a guy that has never been there before and they may never see again. Pretty darn impressive. If you have car problem, don't waste your money taking your car to these guys. I took 2 cars to this location about 6 months ago. The told me that both my jeep and my truck needed ball joints and control arms. Both my truck and my jeep had wobbling issues almost immediately after I got it back which is the same issues why I took them in in the first place. I was so busy with my new job that I didn't have time to take them in. About 6 months later, I took my jeep in and they told me that I needed new control arms and wheel bearings. The sales guy was very unprofessional and asked for all my money and my wallet. And he just threw out a number that it will cost me a couple of grands to redo the work that they didn't do it right. In the end, they said that they will cover the control arms. When I went to pick up my car, they charged me almost a $1000. I figured that this didn't sound right as they charged me $700 for the control arms and ball joints before. If they covered the control arms, how can this be more. I was upset and asked for the receipt. I looked at the receipt from O'reily and compared to their invoice. They charged me with the control arms and the double the $300 parts from Oreily. In essence, the control arms weren't free as they make it up on other charges here and there. After my complaint, the owner knocked the price to $550. So I went to get into my car and the window was down. I couldn't roll it back up. The owner said that it was a coincident but if I buy the part which is another $150 they will fix it for free. Unbelievable. I drove my car home and the wobbling issue didn't go away. I took it back and wait for more days. They told me that they had to replace new wheel bearings. Didn't they just do that? About almost a week later, they told me that the wobbling is caused by the CV joints and I needed to replace those. These guys are very incompetent. They are going to fix each and everything in order to find the problem? I went and got my car the drove home with the same issue that I had before I brought it in only that I have a broken window and out of $550. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE GUYS. MY ADVICE TO THE OWNER, STICK TO FIXING TIRES AND STAY AWAY FROM FIXING CARS. read more

We have been here 2 hours, and they still have not looked at our car yet. I had to speak to the manager to even get it looked at. The Havoline Xpress Lube place is separate from Big O Tires. So you have to wait 2 hours to get looked at and then ask to please get your car fixed and then wait again for it to be inspected and emissions tested. Every guy that walked in who was over 17 looking got helped in less than 30 minutes. This place is pretty sexist in its customer service. read more

Numerous trips here with same results, I will not be back . Final straw came purchasing four new tires for my SUV. They did not work very well, but I was planning a trip out of the country for a month and figured I could figure it out when I got back. They did not have the tires I had on the car show up sold me some Perelli tires which have no business on an suv. When I returned I experimented with many different tire pressures and eventually took the vehicle back to see if anything could be done. Hardly had any miles on the tires and after leaving it for an entire day without a phone call I went back and they simply said it was a tire pressure issue. No brake on purchasing tires that would work no return policy for these tires just SOL. Prior to this had experiences where they continue to try and upsell everything on my brakes, previous truck was misdiagnosed claiming it needed 9000 in repairs , Which was incorrect. They have also tried to mess with my wife numerous times and feel they do not want to let you out of the store without a minimum $500 charge for something. This may work in the short term but will never last for a business.They will never see another dime from me. read more

This place had ok service but they tried to convince me to change all my tires. I only changed the front two and it was $350. I ended up going to a different place called "best value wheels and tires". It was $220 for the exact same brand new tires. Big o tires is a huge rip off. I realized today why Big O should stick to tires. I went in to get my tires rotated. I asked them if they could let me know how much life was left on my brake pads. They looked them over and then told me that I had issues with my brakes. I have plenty of experience working on cars and if I needed to fix anything I would do it but I was curious to see how much they would charge. They quoted me close to 800 dollars. I couldn't believe what that sales guy had just said. I politely said no thank you but thanks for letting me know and went and fixed my brake issues for 85 and 1.5 hours of work. My pads were under warranty so really it would have been about 120 if I had paid for them. I was shocked that they would try to take advantage of people like that. Moral of the story, stick to tires with Big O and find an honest mechanic for anything else. read more

Imagine driving along and someone stops you to tell you that you have a flat tire on you 16ft trailer you are pulling. At this moment there is very little you can do but the fact that it is 6pm makes it worse. I immediately thought of Big o on 12600 on I rushed there. I went in and talked to Jayme and told him the bind I was in. This location was super busy at the time but Jayme understood my problem, got me in and out in a crazy fast time, and didn't even charge me for the screw that I picked up somewhere along my way. Big o has just earned a customer for life and Jayme will always be the person I want to deal with and tell others about. I am local and drive by this location all the time so knowing they actually take care of their customers is huge! I took my car in to this Big O for an alignment job. They called me and said I needed a new hub assembly on a front wheel and the cost would be $325. Knowing they can be more expensive than other repair shops I declined to have the hub fixed there. I took my car over to Labrum Automotive (love these guys) and was quoted $210 so I left my car with them. Labrum looked at the hub and found no problem with it and didn't even charge me for looking at it. My neighbor had a similar experience at this Big O where they told his wife she needed new tires. The tires on the car were 1 year old and did not need replacing. I don't trust them! Go to Les Schwab or somewhere else for tires and Labrum Automotive (801-302-5935) for repairs! read more

If I could give this place zero starts I would. I went in there for an alignment since I accidentally hit a curb (it just so happened to be a red one), and they made me feel like I was a dumb a** for hitting it and tried to tell me I needed something else fixed. They made me pay 100$ just to get an alignment. I took it to my regular mechanic and they told me everything was fine, the only reason I went to this place was because my regular mechanic was out of the way so I just took it somewhere close. Also, I asked to pay first so I could just get it out of the way but they told me that I should just wait until they look at it to see if it even needed one (which I understand the reason for), but the thing is I knew it needed one because the damn wheel wasn't straight when I was driving! They treat women like their knowledge is irrelevant and they try to tell them something is wrong just to take advantage of them! Girls, please do not go there without a male figure if it's a new setting, unless you have been going there for a long time. No matter if you come from a family of mechanically inclined people they will still treat you like garbage. read more

This place is such a scam! I bought a set of new big o brand tires from them & have been there two times now to have them rotated. I marked one of my wheels on the inside & both times they have pulled it around back as i waited for 45 min. Then the pull it up front and say I am good to go. I didn't call them out on the first time but i did the second time and the way they reacted I could tell this was a common practice. Guess whats next.. your tires are worn so you will need to buy new ones. SCAM! read more

I am giving this location a five star rating for what I consider to be great customer service. I brought my Audi TT into the store for all new tires. After leaving, I was upset to see that a good portion of the black coating on my rims had been scraped off, and it looked terrible. I reached out to the manager, Dave, with my concerns. He explained to me that there wasn't really a way to avoid what happened because it was caused by the machine they use, and that unfortunately the kind of color coating that was on the rims when I bought the car was cheap (and therefore easily scratched off). I had recently bought the car and had no idea about the cheap paint coating. I understood this explanation but was still upset, since I left the location that day with much needed new tires... but also rims that now looked awful. At this point, most managers would say "Look, that's how the machine works, and the paint wasn't good quality, so that's not our fault." But Dave knew I was upset, so he ordered in some paint and had me bring back my car the next week. They took the time to repaint them, and made my rims look good as new. I took my truck in to take some old tires off and put new tires on. When my truck came out I immediately noticed a large scratch on one of my wheels. I walked around and looked at all four wheels and two of the four had significant scratches on them from mounting the new tires. I spoke with the technician and of course he said he didn't do it. I spoke with the manager and showed him the scratches and he said he was not sure how it happened, but he would review his security cameras to see what went wrong. The wheels on my truck are $700 a piece and I know they weren't scratched when I took it in. I called a couple days later and spoke with the manager and he said he didn't have time to review the cameras yet. He was pretty cool about it and I trusted him so I let it go for a couple more days. Since then I have called at least four times and I keep getting the runaround. I even sent pictures of the damage to another "manager" there and never heard anything back.These guys are a joke and I would never take any vehicle to them again. read more

I went for a simple oil change today. While I waiting I looked through the window and there was a worker sitting in my car. He sat in there for a really long time and was watching me watch him. It was weird and I couldn't figure out why anyone would be sitting in my car. As they were finishing up, the guy working the counter told me my brake light was out and they could hurry and replace it. I told him that I knew how to change my brake light and I would do it. I asked him what brake light it was and he said he didn't know. When I got in my car to go home, it was obvious that someone went through my car compartments. I think the man sitting in my car went through my car- I have no idea why he would. When I got home, I asked my dad to tell me which brake light was out. Turns out both my brake lights are working just fine. The whole experience has made me feel like Big O is not a trustworthy place to take my car. read more

Pretty frustrated with these guys. I brought my truck in to get new tires. Waited a while which was ok, but then they pulled my truck out with the new tires and they made me wait to get the alignment checked another 2 hours. Then then came up after two hours stating they are closing and asked if I would come back to get my truck aligned with the new tires. So I brought the truck back today, waited another hour and then when I went to get my keys he stated it cost $75 to align the truck. I was under the impression when purchasing the tires that this was a free service, and clearly stated that to the rep. He stated it was free to check the alignment, but to actually cost to align the truck. At this point I was pissed and they had already proceeded with aligning the truck. A review of the free service should have clearly happened before we just proceeded. I stated that should have been clarified as you have now align this thing, and didn't really think asking to "un-align" my truck would be helpful. Just paid the bill, and stating I would be writing this review to the rep, who seemed to not care at all. Pretty pissed as I have been a loyal big O fan since I first had a car. I had a aggravating experience at the riverton Big o tire. I went in for a wheel alignment. One of my rims was bent. So they ordered one for me. The didn't care to call me and let me know it had arrived at the store. I came in they had purchased the wrong rim. Waited again. No call. Went to see if they got the right rim. They did . But they put it on the wrong tire. I'm to mad to go back in. I took my car to another business and they fixed the problem. I will never do business with BigO. Done. read more

I needed ball joints and an alignment on my truck. I called in the morning and the guy I talked to said were not busy bring out down and it would only be a couple hours. I brought my truck and the ball joints to them and went and home. I waited all day for the phone call telling me it was ready and it never came. I decided to show up 30 minutes before the closed and my truck was still parked how I left it. I looked inside the truck and my new ball joints were still on the passenger seat. The guy at the counter tried to charge me almost 400 for an alignment and the ball joint install. I told him they never did the work and he sat there trying to argue that it was done. I took him out and had to show him the old greasy joints were still installed and showed him the new ones still on the seat. He apologized and wanted to keep the truck overnight and said it would be done first thing tomorrow. I told him no. I need the truck tomorrow. I asked for my keys and it took the guy 10 minutes to find them. I have always been a big-o fan. I used to go regularly to the draper location. This store is rude, unprofessional and ultimately tried to charge for something they never did. This location has lost my business. Based on my experience I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I went in to have a screw removed from my tire. They told me it couldn't be repaired and I needed a new tire. I took my car to my dealership for a second opinion. They patched it with no problem. I would have taken my car here for whatever it needed since it was so close by but obviously they can't be trusted. read more

Where is the 0 star button? After a horrible and un-educating experience at a local "Jiffy Lube" we thought Big O could take care of us. We just needed the A/C fixed and the most likely solution was to get a new compressor. My Brother-in-law received that service with a local 'car guy' and got it done for $600 service and all. So we expected around the same price range. We got a call back from the guy at Big-O and he said "your car needs a new compressor and the compressor alone is $1200 that is without service". These guys are the kings of up-selling you. What in the world makes a compressor that much money. We dropped out and got the problem fixed elsewhere in a lot more friendly environment for a lot more reasonable price. My Brother went in there a couple days later and got "price-gauged" on his truck. Me, him and the rest of our family won't be here again. So be prepared to fork up the cash when you stop by here. I bet they don't even read these reviews because they are too busy ripping off people. What a shady place of business. read more

Went to get some new tires for my car. Went here because it was the closest to me. The tires I wanted were pulled up and the gave me a price. My card was out to pay and then they said I could no longer get those tires. The then quoted me tires that were double in price. I decided to go to another Big O at 10227 South Redwood Road. I was able to get the tires I originally wanted with no problem. And they were less expensive than I was quoted at this Big O. Drive a little further and get better service. These people at 4689 West 12600 South will try to rip you off. If I could give less than 1 stars I would. read more

SUCH AMAZING PEOPLE! THANKS, CURTIS!! My TEENAGED daughter was driving on the highway, 45 minutes from home, when her engine starting whining loudly. She pulled over and it still whined while idling. She called me and (after a mild freak out) I googled the closest auto repair shops that were open on a Saturday. I chose Big O because I love my Big O Tire shop in Springville. I called and spoke to Curtis. I told him what was going on, that I was sending my teenaged daughter his way & I needed him to check out her car. I also said I loved MY Big O but was nervous sending my daughter to an unfamiliar place alone. I hoped he was as good and honest as my guys. He assured me my daughter & her car would be well taken care of. They welcomed her, put her mind at ease, and looked at her car immediately. They found 2 hoses with issues and fixed them, but then discovered the coolant fan wasn't working properly. They didn't have the right one in shop and since it was Saturday afternoon, couldn't get one. We talked. I thought I'd have to come get her and arrange to have the car towed closer to home. Nope! They made sure her car was safe to drive the 45 minutes home, told me to get it repaired after the weekend, and then refused to accept ANY payment! I insisted we pay as services were rendered. I am super disappointed. I took my sons car in to have the alignment done since I just bought new tires and he is leaving to school down in St. George. The service was great when I got there, very friendly and courteous. About an hour later I received a call that my sons front end had several issues and needed about $1K of work.. hmm. This is strange because I had just taken it to my mechanic, who has been in the business over 20 years last week to have a full inspection and make sure the car is in good shape. He said nothing about these said issues. I would have taken it back to him today, but he works for Tunex in Orem and they are closed Saturdays and we leave Monday. Anyhow, I called my mechanic who was kind enough to drive to the shop and take another look.. he says it is always possible he missed something. NOPE!! He said there is a little play in the ball joint, but certainly not to the point it needs to be replaced and NOTHING wrong with either tie rod, which according to the mechanic at Big O was so bad they refused to even complete the alignment. Anyhow, it seems to me they just opened and maybe this mechanic was being greedy. I would highly recommend getting a second opinion before making any large outlays of money at this shop.
