first time here and thought i was taken care of for first time customers got brand new tires all around for around $1600 with alignment came back to find out that my rims were curb rash hard (see photos) i've had my wheels replaced at other big o tire locations and never had any issues i do not recommend this specific location in sparks off pyramid because the techs did not care for the customer, did not handle take the equipment to take off the wheels off carefully, dirty the door handle inside with oil stain, and most importantly were not honest to their boss to let him know the manager was not aware, the dishonesty was bad, definitely, not the spot to replace your tires on top of that, they pump your tires with nitrogen and do not provide the courtesy of asking customers if you want nitrogen. Your tire caps will be replaced with ugly green caps. customers would like to keep the original black caps, not an green ugly cap. there were no courtesy in asking. other than that, super inconvenient due to the curb rash suggestions: the young techs in the back were needs to be trained better to hold them accountable and start caring for customer vehicles never will i take my tires to get replaced here ever again, i hope no body goes through this read more

I called almost at closing time Thursday, Mar.12. I needed an oil change due to travel today. Danny was very kind, told me to be there first thing g at 8:00, which I did. They did the alignment(I paid for prior), then saw the diagnostics. My tires were bad! (I knew it, but was trying to get through winter). The person who helped me showed me what they had, and I came out at 9:55am, four new tires, oil change, and my car drives soooo smooth!! Took the work truck in and felt like I was at a timeshare seminar. Just wanted oil change and tire rotate but the guy get pressuring me about transmission service. I want to say Charles, the tire tech is Grade A, #1, Top Shelf. Also the other tech with braids. Who explained to me about noise tampers on some rims I saw. He was kind and professional.The front staff...not so much Overall counter help bad. Women beware. If they'll try to rob a guy who has worked in tire/service shops. From bike tires to old style split rim semi tires. I feel sorry for a woman with little knowledge of cars I Furst went to the one off of South Virginia after putting on a spare for my flat tire. They had the replacement for a $153.00. The tech and the counter person were nice and professional. I decided to go to the one on Pyramid because it was closer to my home. I brought in the flat tire to Pablo S. and explained I'd worked in tire shops before but had never seen what was stuck in my tire. I told him I wanted the same brand and make of tire. It was downhill from there. He took me to the tire racks pointed out a tire. Telling me this was the best tire for me. Great, how much? $450.00! I had 3 perfectly good tires with less than 20K miles on them. Why would I mis match them with a different tire style and brand No way! I told I want the same brand and model tire, again . As I had told the gentleman at S Virginia, He comes back $233.00 but won't have one till tomorrow. I ask why the S. Virginia has one for $153. 00. No explanation Upon my return the next day. I was quickly taken in and Charles went right to work. I also had Charles check my front tire. To which he found I small rim and tire leak and repaired with great dis"patch" Now back to bad service. Pablo tried to recharge me for the tire I had already paid for. After which he told that my tire had minimal coverage cause Big O carries many brands but only stands behind their tire brand. I am from out of town, staying nearby. When I went to drive to an event my tire pressure light came on. This was around 4 in the afternoon. The next day I had to leave town early. I called Big O and they got me in and on the road very quickly, even though they were closing at 4:30. Thank you so much for your help! read more

Update! Went back and needed some repairs on my murano and they did great. Took my Escalade in and paid $1,200 to redo front and rear brakes. Rip off but I needed to get it done. Brought my Mercedes in and got charged 42 dollars to rotate my tires and they never even hit the balance machine. I'm done. Went to the new Les Schwab on pyramid that same day and bought a new tire to replace a bad one and they did great. I don't need to be ripped off every time I go to get a vehicle worked on. Done with this big o tire. Never been ripped off so bad but it won't happen again. No more chances. read more

Had two tires out of four show serious signs of dry rot, I purchased these tires approximately two years ago, truck has been driven a total of one hundred miles, maybe? The guy I talked to said he would have to look into it and call me back. When I returned on Monday, I found out I was dealing with the manager on Saturday. No call no follow up.Was told because I did not take the warranty out this could not be covered. Real stand up place! Got some brand new tires on a van last year and the fronts were wearing unevenly. Big o never suggested we do an alignment when we bought the tires and really they're only 6 months old with probably 10 k miles on them So we go to get some more new tires because apparently these are now toast and they claim it needs a new power steering rack wheel bearings etc etc and $2 K later we will be ok BULLSHIT ! Nothing wrong with the rack or anything else as it was just serviced !! I've given them a 5 star review before, about 3 years ago and they continue to exceed expectations. Was in last week as they were about to close. Expected just to get an estimate on tires and set an appointment for sometime this week. They got me in for the tires and I prepaid for alignment to get done today. I planned on coming in this morning for the alignment but got called in to work and just arrived to see if they can do the alignment. My husband purchased a set of tires for me from this location after a not so good experience from another tire dealer. Everything went great for the most part until they pulled my truck out and told me my sensor was broken, it wasn't broken when it went in. They charged me over 100 bucks to replace it. Then the next day I brought it back because I wanted all my tires at the same pressure and the pulled a bunch of air out and all 4 of my tire lights went off. I have a warranty on my tires that I don't even want to use. I don't want to take my truck to a place that obviously doesn't care about quality work. read more

Unfortunately, I woke up this morning and was going to go pick up my son, and as I drove my beast of an SUV out of the driveway. I noticed I was going a little lop sided...so I stopped and got out, and my rear tire was all the way to the ground flat! Great! That's not what I was planning to do on my day off! Anyway, I picked up my son in my other little car, and he helped change the tire with the spare. Called Big O, and they said they weren't busy, so I drove over. They got me in right away to fix the flat and remove a screw that was in my front driver tire. Unfortunately, the tire that had gone flat was not repairable. So, I got a couple of estimates for their tires.. I wanted a tire that could hold up to towing a big trailer. One was their brand, and the other was a BF Goodrich... Neither were inexpensive. We needed the vehicle to drive in the snow next week, so unfortunately, the big o brand they didn't have in stock, I would have to wait until Monday, so I consulted my husband. The original price for the BF Goodrich was over $1500 for 4 tires. The Big O was a little over $1200 for 4 tires. I asked the salesperson if he could get them from another store. And he said it would take too long and they closed at 4 pm Saturday it was about 2:30 pm. So, I consulted with my husband again... I told the salesperson the price was out of my range,but I needed tires before Monday. So, he was able to take off over $100 from the original estimate. Sold! The team got my SUV in really fast and installed the tires mount and balance. I was out of there by 3:30pm. The tires look great! They put my spare back under the SUV. read more

I used to absolutely love this place, since it was so close to my house and the people inside are very helpful. But the last three times I've gone there, things have been horrible. I don't know what's going on in the garage and it has been a little bit of time, so maybe things have changed. But earlier this year I ran over a nail and they patched the tire, but neglected to refill it with air. Luckily they have the pump on the side, so I was able to fill it up myself. Another time I had a rotation and brake fluid flush done. It been a couple hours since anybody opened my car (I have a new car so I get updates every time the doors are opened and are unlocked) so I gave them a call. Approximately 15 minutes later they called me back and said my car was done. That seems awfully fast for a rotation and fluid flush. Then, the next time I went in for an oil change and rotation they said I needed to replace my two front tires. I'm assuming that's because they never rotated them at the previous visit. Needless to say three strikes and they're out and it broke my heart. So, just be careful when you go there. Mark your tires to make sure they rotate them, and double check everything that they do that you can. read more

Big thanks to this location of Big O Tires! My other half has been telling me to get her jeep aligned and I've been slacking on that department and decided to give them a call. I don't remember who I spoke with but all I remember is a car just got done and they're available to do it right now. Hung the phone up immediately and drove down there to get the jeep aligned. Didn't know they has a pretty decent waiting room, free coffee, tea and drinks and a unisex bathroom all right there. I thought to myself this is way better then other places that I've been to. I only waited about 20-25 min to get it done and I was on my way home. Pricing was fair but the customer service was amazing. In the last thirty some years I lived here, I found the best tire shop in all of Reno and Sparks!!! These guys are absolutely wonderful. They care about their customers and go well beyond to ensure the service is nothing less then excellent! I had a screw in my brand new 2022 Acura tire. I took it to them and they plugged my tire. About a month later, I was loosing air the same tire and I took it back and they tried to plug it again, but nope! They had to order me a tire exactly like my other tires, since I only have 2,000 miles on my new car. I told them I bought an insurance plan with Acura with Principal Total Care! I had a discrepancy with the insurance claim and they said I'll call them for you and find out. WOW!!! I went to go pick up my car and the nice guy, Kyle said don't worry they going to pay us directly! Double Wow!! That's service and my business is forever with them! My husband had his oil changed and his tires rotated before going on vacation. After approximately 200 miles, the wheel sensors showed along with brake notification. He went to a local shop and was told nothing was wrong. Per the truck information, there was 80% left of braking function After my husband returned from vacation he went back to Big O and ask them what was going on. After having the car for the day they said that he needed new rotors and brake pads. He told them to put the truck back together. On the way home that day his truck wouldn't allow him to go any faster than 43 mph. I followed him home with flashers on! We took the truck to another mechanic. He showed us a busted sensor that Big O failed to replace, repair or advise. We had the sensor replaced. Lack of pride or professionalism on Big O. No communication or care about safety. read more

I came in with my dad for our 2006 Honda Accord EX yesterday for an alignment! They stated 45 minutes to an hour but got it done way less than that. We then decided to put new tires on the car as all four tires had started to bald and needed replacement. The guys at Big O Tires were a huge help! The first set of tires ended up being too tall for the car so they replaced them immediately and apologized for the inconvenience. I have never been to a tire shop that replaced all four tires in MAYBE 20 minutes. Their hard work and dedication was shown! Super friendly! Go here!! read more
