It can be a bit of a party atmosphere on weekends so sit back and watch the show! Our first couple of days were mid week and the place was only 10% occupied, so the water pressure was super high! Great for showers in the really nice bath houses, but remember your pressure regulator for your RV. Speaking of bath houses, the showers use the type of controls where you have to put the button to keep the water running. The shower that was ADA compliant wasn't working properly, my only problem all week. Checking in and the sites were great. A nice family pool and another pool with a swim up bar too. The store was well stocked and not overly inflated pricing. The weekend after memorial day it was a loud party till about an hour past quiet time, but not too bad and then it did quiet down, so come to party! :) Also it can get windy near the ocean so watch those awnings. Front desk was contacted and sent maintenance. Maintenance advised they were aware that the system was not working and that is why window unit is in place. Reported at 5:30 pm, maintenance showed up at 6pm and adjusted the temperature and said to come back over to front desk in an hour if it didn't cool down(after acknowledging he knew it was broke). When it didn't cool off in the hour and I returned to the front desk to find they closed and no one was available.

It's a smaller State park and slightly confusing with the direction's but the staff was helpful just get a map. We camped in a "walk back" section of E. Very spacious sites with the bathroom/shower reasonably close. Parking was "ok"..... but they fill up and then you have to use overflow. The bathrooms/showers were clean BUT I guess I'm used to sites that spray repellent because nature is boss. We drove through the comfort sites of D and they were too tight for my liking. They have yurts and cabins but for me a tad too close. They do have an Island camp site Loved it!!!!! That's a must do. It's 2 sites across a short walking bridge with water view and access. I would definitely go back.

Never had a single problem with any rules, never a single hassle with security. They put money back into the campgrounds every year to keep it nice. Yes, there are rules, would you want to bring your kids here if there weren't?! Can you imagine what it would be like without some rules?! I have interacted with the owners and staff since 2008, never a single instance of rudeness etc. This is a great place! 2 pools, laundry facilities, you have your own electric service direct with the utility, marina and minutes from every aspect of the beach and bay. We had a 2 year old with us and there was plenty for a kid to do-pool, splash park, playground, mini golf, a bike path nearby and you could rent a bike buggy for a child. A heavily wood site with plenty of trees to run around. We were tent camping with a huge 10 person tent. Sites T1 through T3 are better for a smaller tent. They're not smaller as far as size but it's the placement of the trees that's not great for a big tent, but still worth it for the shade of the tallest pines I've ever seen. T4-14 are better for a large tent. We were able to get WIFI with internet at the tent sites. This place is mostly permanent campers which keeps out a lot of the riff raff. My first impression of the bath house was it's the best smelling bath house I've ever entered lol. Cleaned several times a day. Showers are on timers, but it's not the first time I've ever seen that at a campground, water smelled fine. The only negative is that the bath house is a little far from the tent sites. Most RVs and campers have either sewer hook up or holding tank, so it would be nice if it were closer to tents. It would be great if they could just install a small toilet shed near tents. But it's not a deal breaker. We returned a couple times and will be sure to return again, we thought it was great! And the restaurant at the camp store has great hot food for sale, awesome hash browns lol

Checked the beds and sure enough found multiple ON TOP of the matress cover. We brought one of the bugs in a plastic bag to the front desk who called their manager who only refunded us the cost of the stay but refused to pay us for the loss of items like our tempur pedic pillows, bed sheets, expensive cooler bags, and our Samsonite large luggage. Despite the fact that we found a bed bug trap under the bed. They clearly knew the bed bugs were an issue and rented it anyways! DONT STAY HERE!! We were lucky enough to find a last minute place to stay at a bed bug free hotel for our last night. Paid for out of our pocket. They said management would contact us and two days later I'm still waiting. This place is HORRIBLE!

My friends and I were basically the only people there and people typically pay loads of money for that type of exclusivity whereas here it's free.

Something about the sprocket was bent. Ugh! Instead, I sprayed some sunblock on my arms neck and face, put on a hat, and took a walk. The beach is stunning. Flat, warm, sunny and not overly crowded for a July weekend. While the beach is not step free, they're trying hard to make it as accessible as possible with mats and ramps that can support a wheelchair. That's awesome. I did see a bunch of offroaders. Apparently, you can get a permit to bring your 4WD onto the beach. Pretty darned awesome, that is! What are those huge concrete structures? They're WWII-era bunkers! Yes, these huge installations were built to counter the fear of German U-boats invading Philadelphia via the Delaware River.
