Decent food with quick and friendly service. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful! The Homewrecker pizza is good - fresh ingredients and tasty dough. We had the mango chipotle wings too, but they were not spicy at all. I guess we will pay extra to add more spice next time. Calzone is good; however, the sauce is too thin and sweet. Still the best Wings in the San Antonio metropolitan area...Definitely have to try the Golden wings! Sauce is great, wings are meaty, and come out hot! They have others that are good too...mango chipotle, thai sweet chili, cajun. Specialty pizzas too...all good. And they are family run so treat you like ohana. The pizza is good, but the wait times are never accurate. I call in an order, they say 20 minutes and it is like 40 minutes. But I'm afraid not to show up on time because what if they actually get it out on time (hasn't happen yet though). Their prices are a little above average for the region, but their toppings are plentiful. You need to run their Epic Portions with the chipotle ranch, that starter is awesome! read more

This is usually our favorite spot for wings. The last time we ordered the wings were not good so after a few months we decided to try it again. Tonite we ordered a 18 inch pizza and 30 wings to go. Pizza was great. Wings were bland with hardly any seasoning (you couldn't even tell which ones were which there was so little seasoning) and they would only give us 2 small things of ranch for all our wings. The kids working were rude and neither of them were wearing a mask. The next time we feel like spending $60 bucks on pizza and wings it will not be here. read more

I used to live in Cibolo and found Big Papas by total accident and oh what a great thing this turned out to be! I had a couple of beers and a personal pizza and have been coming back since, even though I moved back to San Antonio. I got my better half stuck on this quaint little pizza joint as well. Because of the distance we go about every two weeks but it is our cold beer hot pizza oasis to detox and relax after a hard week at work! The owner is a delight and always remembers us and I noticed how many "regulars" the place packs in! I am giving them four stars because their service is good, pizza is great, wings are delicious and big compared to other places but their calzones are not even good. Atleast for my personal taste. They add some other type of cheese besides mozzarella and I am not a fan of it. Their regular pepperoni pizza is good though.. Highly recommend it. Their wings are on point. We had the mango chipotle and regular hot.. Mango chipotle is full of flavor and isn't necessarily spicy but does have a little kick to it so it doesn't need the spice. The regular hot wings had just enough spicy to it.. They were delicious! I personally preferred those but the hubby liked the chipotle mango better. Said those were full of flavor which I agree with but I prefer some type of spice with my wings. Overall I suggest giving this place a try. Can't go wrong. read more

Came in with my family today. Order three different beers and all three were sold out. Ordered a pepperoni pizza, but was so greasy that all the cheese and pepperoni slid of every time my kids tried to pick it up to eat a slice . Additionally, the staff in the back where playing music in the back area loudly, but all we could hear was the bass, which became very annoying. Was not a great experience at all. read more

We were looking for a pizza place in Schertz, and chose Big Papa's based upon reviews. The outside of Big Papa's is unassuming, and I was not sure what to expect. When we entered, it turned out to be a sports bar - not exactly our cup of tea, but we still wanted to try their pizza. We were greeted by Jackie, the manager. She was very friendly, and welcoming, as was all of the staff. Our pizzas were delicious. They make their own dough for the crust, which is something we find very important for good pizza. The quality of pizza has gone down hill. This used to be the spot for great Hawaiian pizza! I like the decor, all the jerseys and what-not. A couple years back this place used to be a yummy difference from traditional pizza's with a very homely & casual atmosphere. My family and I have gone back 2 or 3 times but it's just not the same. This used to be my favorite pizza around with their Hawaiian pizza. I have probably eaten here 50 times. I ordered one last weekend and almost got sick. There was so much fat on the pork it was gross looking. Family would not eat it and when I called they did not care. Guess the mighty dollar and greed ruined the owners pride! read more

this is the second pizza place i've been to since living in San Antonio, and i still have yet to find a truly great pizzeria. this is on par with my experience at maar's pizza, but i'd say the experience was better than at that restaurant, only because i had no expectations with Big Papa's. this is a sports pizzeria, with tv's scattered everywhere, and the interior decoration being jerseys and posters. a family environment that can get pretty loud, so if that's not your thing, don't go her. the food was decent, took a little while for them to make it. but in their defense they were in rush, so i get it. the crust was good, and you can tell it was thoroughly cooked. wish i could say the same for the rest of the pizza, but i found that some of the slices were doughy. since it wasn't full cooked, the ingredients would fall off, which was annoying. the ingredients were too flavorful, and all this did was fill me up. so this might be a good place to go if you have a big family. other than that it's fine. read more

We held a team dinner following a soccer tournament at Big Papa's Pizza and it was great! They were able to accommodate 30 13 year-old girl and their parents after a game, and the pizzas and salads were delicious. Small local place with a great selection of pizza. Had the Epic portions and they were great. Also had the Epic pizza which is pepperoni, pineapple, ham and jalapenos on a thin crust. Washed that back with a few ice cold beers and would highly recommend this establishment. Sports theme decorations with several TVs to watch you favorite sporting event. read more

Our family went there on fathers day for dinner. I had an super good Calzone and a few wings. We all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed what they got. Our waitress was absolutely awesome. She remembered what everyone was drinking everytime and returned to our table frequently. Give that girl a raise! Walked in about a week ago.... first thing I see is a guy (one of the workers) carrying a baby papoose-style on his chest...while serving customers!! Next thing I notice is a playpen back toward the bar by the restrooms...unreal. I'm reading the menu for minutes trying not to look perplexed by this.. My wife walks in & nearly yanks me from the place...but we hang out & keep reading the menu anyway. We leave for a few minutes to take a phone call outside---the music/bass was blasting pretty good in the back/kitchen...that was also unsettling. We come back inside...& now the baby is out of the carrier & on the bar top counter!! Some guy & girl are playing with it (baby girl I believe), sliding her back & forth along the bar. I hope that's not a regular happening. Not a good 1st impression at all. I guess there was no child care for the baby...or anybody thinking of keeping the place sanitary by not sitting the baby in their pj's on the counter. Carrying the kid around while waiting tables was a completely white-trash move. read more
