I've been coming here for a while, but the new management has completely changed the food, and not for the better. First off I would like to say, they have definitely improved the ambiance and how nice it looks for sure, but the chicken was incredibly mushy. When I brought this up, the manager's excuse was that they make it mushy on purpose so that when customers take it home and microwave it, it gets "hard." I'm paying for a fresh meal to eat now, not a meal-prep project. Beyond the texture, the flavor has a heavy Chinese culinary influence that doesn't work for traditional teriyaki, and the sauce is now overly citrusy. To top it off, my side salad was almost entirely hard lettuce ribs. When I gave this honest feedback, the manager was incredibly dismissive and rude, telling me "everyone has their own opinion." I had other errands to run so I showed up at 6:40pm, much to my surprise, they hadn't even started cooking my food and therefore I sat there for another 10 minutes.... I went here because my main place was closed, and let me tell you this is now my go to teriyaki spot. Not only was the customer service amazing, the lady at the front was so nice so helpful and really just a joy to be around but the food is hands down some of the best teriyaki I've had in years. I came in today and ordered the salmon bento box, as well as the Crispy Spicy Tuna Roll. I was skeptical about the quality of the sushi, but my concern was for nothing. You'll notice there is no photo of my sushi roll, that's because I inhaled it all during the four block drive home. While it wasn't very spicy, it was delicious. Each bite melted in my mouth. The salmon bento box was full of delicious food. There were two moist pieces of salmon, three gyoza, two crispy prawn tempura, an egg roll and rice. This is my go to teriyaki place. My wife introduced this place to me a couple of years ago, and they have always been consistent in what they serve. I always go with the chicken katsu. The portions are big, and you definitely get what you pay for. It comes with extra teriyaki sauce, and some katsu sauce. Extra sauces are available to purchase, but honestly, you won't need it. The chicken katsu is super crispy on the outside, while the chicken remains moist. The lady behind the counter (I think she's the owner) is very sweet and nice...always has a friendly smile. So when the total rang up hire than expected, we then asked how much the Yagnyum was, and the lady explained it was $17+ but it is a whole chicken. So we went with it and when it got served, it was way more than what we had originally expected! It's like a spicy sweet saucy Korean Fried Chicken dish. It was def tasty! But Cody said if he knew the price, he wouldn't have ordered it because we weren't looking to order that much food! Oh well, we tried something new. There's getting to be quite a bit of teriyaki along this stretch of 99, and these guys are another solid addition to the mix. They have plenty of parking, a clean restaurant, and fair prices. They get the job done for sure. This is a busy strip mall at a busy intersection, but very easy to get to. And there's more parking most of the time than you might expect. They have a small, relatively narrow space in one of the units, and most of it is a big bustling grill and kitchen area, with a small register counter. There's free soup at the front of the counter, and a soda fountain (with more drinks in the cooler in the back). They have all different teriyakis, udon, a bunch of different stuff on the menu. Prices range from around $7-8 up to about $10. I had the chicken yakiudon, which was about $9 after tax. There's definitely more rice and noodle than there is protein and veg in this dish, but that's to be expected. The noodles are huge, but they have decent texture and flavor. A little salty for my liking, but as an occasional treat that's OK. The staff are super nice. I could definitely see coming back here again. read more

When eating here the other day, I hardly expected their food to be as good as it was. As I always love to eat Asian food, this place stood out because of its location. The employees were nice and helpful with the menu. Everything was moderately priced based on the quality of food. I actually have no problem with their pricing because I was very satisfied with their food. Service (despite being extremely busy with online orders) was very good! I didn't have to wait too long for my food, and the server brought it out for me. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. I would give this place a 5 star because of the food itself, but had to give it a 3 because of the poor service. I have been there twice and on the first experience my kids and i loved it. I am a single father of 3 and i don't drive because of my visual impairment so we have to catch the bus everywhere which is fine, but we don't get to go out to eat a lot. After the first time going to Big Teriyaki, we were hooked. It was really amazing Chinese food, and at a Teriyaki place none the less. So, we just had to go again. On the second time going we had very poor service. I have 3 kids under 10 years old and my oldest loves Mongolian Beef. So we ordered 2 orders of that, one for me and one for my son. We also ordered some sweet & sour chicken as well. Well I love my food spicy so i got a 5 star and my son got a 2 star of the Mongolian beef. When the food cam out it looked amazing as usual, but my sons beef was too spicy for him. I feel like they didn't use 2 pots to cook the beef in and instead used the same pot they used to make my spicy Mongolian beef. When I asked my son if her would like me to ask them to remake his order because it was too spicy they told me NO! They main lady that took our order also brought the chief out as well to tell me they will not remake my sons order. I was shocked by this! I really couldn't believe they would make a 10 year old choose between not eating dinner or eating a dinner that was way too spicy for him. He did not eat his food and that's too bad because he really loved this place. I even asked the chief that if i take his order and ordered another plate of Mongolian beef that if it was too spicy I could get a refund on that order. I was willing to take the hit on one meal and purchase another one because my son loved this place so much and i wanted him to eat something. They again said NO! They said that if i purchased another order and it was too spicy that i would have to pay for that one too. I said NO Thank You, I don't want to keep purchasing food from you and you make it too spicy and I'm out another $14 on something he can't eat! The food is delicious. The chicken breast meat is awesome. I am a big fan of that. However, my favorite is the short ribs. The portions are reasonable and they also give you a free beverage with soup if you eat in. My wife and I are selective on teriyaki places and we are very satisfied with this place. The customer service isn't like butler service but meets are expectations as a mom and pop's should.
