Wife got the "small blue plate" of if I remember correctly. Chicken tenders and 2 sides yet had half left over!

Amazing service, terrific yet affordable meals with big portions. Love the old timey aesthetic and if we weren't just stopping through Alabama we would for sure go again. Do not forget to get some peach cobbler with ice cream before heading to downtown Mobile so you can walk off the calories.

Hostess stand is hidden, let it be known it is not seat yourself. Service is pitiful, actually felt bad for the other patrons of the restaurant. Our server asked the table next to us if they could go ahead and leave, because she needed the table. Everything here is additional charge, no entrees come with sides. Place needs a cleaning bad, Loud atmosphere, only thing keeping this place open is the diner atmosphere and the old regulars. Asked two different server for napkins beside our server, because we already asked her for napkins and none of them brought napkins. Lack of service or care, not sure. A special needs patron walked in, and staff stopped and stared at the special needs patron. What a way to welcome a guest!

My wife and I went out for lunch here today, I decided to surprise her with it because it was somewhere she's never been. Now, I love diners with that 50s look and feel, it just seems more homey than the normal places. When we entered, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated by the courteous staff. After spending some time looking over the menu, we both settled on the small blue plate lunch, with my wife choosing the chopped sirloin, and me choosing the roast beef as our meats. She said that hers was great, while the roast beef I had was a little dry, but the portion was more than generous. Now, the sides were absolutely fantastic, we both had green beans and cornbread, while I had the mashed potatoes, and she had the French fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and quite filling. I'm looking forward to trying other options on the menu in the future!

First timers here. Cool place and you can tell it has a lot of regular customers. My wife had a roast beef and gravy and I had a Philly cheese steak and we shared a fry. Both meals were really good. I thought the place was a little expensive but a great meal for sure. We will return.

Homestyle American fare with fantastic shakes! It has a 50's diner motif with oldies playing gently over the audio system. Service is always good. Their doesn't seem to be any shortage of young folks wanting to work here. Upbeat atmosphere. Good for most occasions. Open for lunch or dinner. It's a shame they don't offer breakfast. Relatively large variety of food for this type of menu offering seafood, gumbo, hot dogs, burgers, fried crab claws, and more.

We stumbled upon this place headed home from a soccer tourney. The best country-style food at very affordable price. Great staff too!!! 10 OUT OF 10 RECOMMEND

The food is always good here. The service is always outstanding. The old time diner atmosphere is cool. The best thing about this place, is the shakes.

I can't ask for a better experience here, honestly; if I am being BRUTALLY honest, this food was above five stars. The waiters are always nice, so that's an A+, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is quite nice.

The food and service at this Mobile Al mainstay is dependably excellent comfort food. Old school diner is the vibe.

    Fried fish fantastic!!!

Our waiter Kenny, was really good. Food was fantastic. That was some of the best fried fish I've ever had. I would definitely order that again. The corn was also phenomenal. Love the fried okra. This is definitely a place to stop and eat!

Great place for comfort food, burgers, milk shakes and more. Nice vibe, it can be a little loud during peak hours (lunch and after 5pm). Staff is friendly and most of the time there is a very short wait. They accept call ahead orders to go. Enjoy

Because this spot is not pretending to be anything. This is full-on, unapologetic dive. And I mean that in the best possible way. You walk in and it's like the '70s, '80s, and a little bit of someone's '90s basement bar all got together and said, "Let's not change a thing." Old banquet-style tables, a bar top that feels like it's hosted a thousand stories, and walls that have clearly seen some things. I loved it immediately. Now let's talk food. The folks next to me were deep into the chicken and dumplings and talking about it like it was a life event. You know that kind of table chatter where you start reconsidering your order mid-bite? Yeah, that. I went shrimp po' boy... and no regrets. Shrimp fried just right. Crispy, flavorful, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Solid sandwich. The fries... eh, they showed up a little tired. Not terrible, just kind of there. A little cold, a little soggy, like they'd already had a long day. But here's the twist. You don't come to Judy's for perfection. You come for personality. For the feeling that you just discovered a place that doesn't care about trends, doesn't need a remodel, and definitely isn't chasing Instagram. It just is what it is... and somehow that works. Fold this into your expectations. If you need polished, keep driving. If you want real, pull up a chair. It's fun. It's different. It's got character for days. Four stars. And honestly, half the star is just for staying exactly the same all these years.

We ordered: * 1/2 dozen raw oysters - $12.99 * Fried green tomatoes - $10.99 * Cup of gumbo - $6.99 * Fried oyster po'boy - $16.99 * Total with tax: $52.76 Let's start with the star of the show: the raw oysters. These were absolutely outstanding--plump, large, and packed with that high salinity you want from Gulf oysters. Fresh, clean, and just about perfect. Easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite rise to that level. The gumbo was below average--lacking depth and richness. The fried green tomatoes were decent, nothing special, and the fried okra (assuming that's what you meant) was pretty middle-of-the-road. The fried oyster po'boy had a lot of potential. The oysters themselves were fried perfectly--crispy on the outside, tender inside--but the bread just didn't deliver. For a po'boy, that French bread is critical, and when it misses, the whole sandwich suffers. On the plus side, the service was good--friendly and attentive--and the location is great, right in a nice part of downtown Mobile. Bottom line: Come here for the oysters--they're top-tier. The rest of the menu is hit or miss, but overall it's still worth a visit, especially if you're craving some of the best raw oysters around.

We ordered the fried crab claws for an appetizer and they were SO good! The restaurant has a seafood themed decor. You get bibs and gloves to wear to protect your clothing and so you don't get filthy. Cracking those crabs up can be a little messy! But it's worth it! My only complaint is that our waitress this past time told us that they were too busy to add the sugar to the sweet tea in the kitchen! I thought she was joking but she was not! She said they had made tea but didn't have time to add sugar so she asked him if there was another drink he wanted. Hindsight, we should have just asked for the unsweet and added sweeter ourselves. We spoke to the manager and he tried to rectify the situation. I think he was a little embarrassed by her actions. This situation won't keep me from coming back!
