It's not the worst spot in the world. The owner is actually pretty friendly. They have a lot of TVs and you get to watch whatever sports that you are interested at that time. The only qualm I have with this place is that the pizza slices are tiny. I think they intentionally make their pieces slices very tiny just to save some money. I don't really know. Because I'm not the owner and I don't really know. But, the bartenders are very friendly. The bathrooms are kind of clean. And overall the crowd is a mixture of regulars and Kind of like little bit of a drunk crowd. But every now and then you'll see families come in and have a whole pie and that's about it. They do have an area where there's a pool table. But they also have an area where you can smoke outside. I think that the Emmaus Woody's is better than some of the other locations but they do have some things that they can improve on. The point is I keep coming back here because it's good enough for me. read more

My boyfriend went there to watch the football game and he brought me home mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. I got violent diarrhea 4 hours later and was sick for 5 hours. I hadn't eaten anything for dinner so I know it was the cheese sticks. Wiped me out. I don't understand how fried cheese sticks could go bad unless they were not refrigerated properly. When I not into the cheese sticks they were curdled, so I should have known that something was wrong, but I trusted the food was not contaminated. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again. read more

It's a sports bar, so we didn't expect anything amazing, but it just wasn't that good...sorry to say. Service seemed half-hearted, the place didn't feel clean, and the food was mediocre. The chicken in my Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla was very dry. The meat on our Cheesesteak Fries was kind of bland. My husband didn't seem to mind his Calzone and the beverages were fine. No plans to go back, but hopefully it gets better for others who wish to stop in. read more

We were staying at Bear Creek Resort and everything closes there by 10pm even on a weekend. We took a chance on Big Woody's not knowing how it would turn out based on the reviews. The food was excellent, for a Bar & Grill. They had a decent selection of beers on tap. The bartender, unfortunately, didn't "know beer". She didn't know the names, let alone what type they were. She was very soft spoken and I'm not entirely sure what she said, actually. She was VERY friendly and did offer samples. She did not end up pouring the one I selected. Luckily, my husband enjoyed it. I was more hungry than thirsty, so it ended up fine. Not much around that area, so if you're hungry, give them a try. read more

Bar service is tremendous. Very friendly and attentive. Beer towers are only $15!! the pizza is good, and the specialty pizza cant be beat on a Tuesday night. I think I paid $8 for a taco pizza that was excellent. For cheap eats, and cold beer, this place is a one stop shop. I cannot say enough about how great the staff is keeping me and all my friends who hang out there on Tuesdays wanting to keep coming back. They will even make a specialty pizza if you can create it. They go above and beyond here, and I like that. It's nice to be treated like a valued customer. read more

I really wanted to like this sports bar, but nope. We stopped for a "quick" bite b/c our Son was performing w/ a marching band across the way. Unfortunately, it appeared as though BW was short staffed. Our waitress was very busy, food took forever to be served and my order came out 1/2 hour before my husband's food. Different staff members came over to apologize to us. We did receive 10% off of our bill and was not charged for 1 LG beer/wine. Food portions were small and not worth the wait. I stopped in the Big Woody's in Allentown looking for some friends but when they were not there, I left. The food looked great, so when I passed another Big Woodys on my way home, I pulled in. Never again! Bad service. I ate 7 of the 10 wings, which I ordered 'well done' and were still red in places! When I pointed it out, they gave me 1/2 off my already 1/2 price wings! Oh yeah, the beer I wanted was flat and warm. The manager was a real piece of work too! This place is a perfect candidate for an episode of Undercover Boss. read more

I'm a 4 time combat veteran (28 1/2 years) in a suit. Sat at the bar, where 2 bartenders were working. One guy with a colorful bandana around his head,, the other with long braids. I sat there for 13 minutes before I was even acknowledged. 5 white people walked up and the bartender with the bandana serviced everyone of them without saying one word to me. The other one a female at the 13 minute mark, says I be with you in a minute. 11 additional minutes goes pass. I observe her laugh and joke with waitresses before I just left. We walked in, there was an employee standing near the bar who saw us and held her hands up in the air and said f**k. We felt very unwanted when we read her lips. We turned right around and went out. 6 people total at a Sports Bar on NFL playoff Sunday in a facility that seats over 100 tells the whole story. They hire incompetent people because nobody wants to works in a place that can't attract customers. I go to watch a game on occasion because its close to home. The food is lousy. The Hamilton St location absolutely sucks... but not reviewing them right now! Ordered delivery for the first time from them tonight... food showed up in 45 minutes (on a Friday- that's amazing) and it looked like the perfect pizza and perfect Stromboli that I always picture! If I could do negative stars, I would. This place is gross. From an employee standpoint and a customer. I'm not sure how they have stayed in business this long. With their "construction" going on that's supposed to be done by football season, I don't see that happening. They treat their employees like trash and expect them to do 5 different peoples jobs for no pay. They overwork everyone like crazy to the point people quit on the spot, and then wonder why they have 4 employees in the whole building. Absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing from a "business aspect". The owner and manager both have no respect for anyone and can't even do their jobs. They literally had a woman with a baby strapped on her, bartending. Like is that legal? So we ordered wings and salads from the Woody's in Emmaus. When we got the delivery they informed us that they don't have wings but did bring the salads. They said they tried to call "a lie since if they did we would have canceled the order". When I called to speak to a "manager" I was given the ru around. So I went down and was met by very angry employees who threatened myself bodily harm. I am trying to file a complaint with the head people but I don't think they care. This is the worse place to eat. Every time we get food there are problems and my fault for trying to give them my money. That will NEVER happen again. Horrible service and the food isn't mush better! read more

When we first arrived no one told the bar tender we were in the dining area. After we spoke with the bar tender she was very pleasant and apologized. For the miscommunication they gave us 10% off our bill without asking. The food was amazing, I can't rave enough about how good their food was. We tried the loaded fries (to die for), Stromboli (perfect), and Quesadilla (yummy). I would recommend this place to others. read more

Bland sauce, Sausage, and onions...Cajun seasoned wings same story, cooked well but no flavor. Buffalo garlic wings had minimal flavor and were soggy. So disappointed. It was a warm Monday evening. The wife looked at me and said with a dreamy look in her eyes, "I want wings this weekend." Taken slightly aback, I said, "Wings? From where?" She just smiled and replied: "Big Woody's." Ah, Big Woody's. That sports bar on 4th St. Wait, no, the Emmaus location! The new one! We settled it. Ok, wings it would be for date night. We ordered online (super cool - no human interaction for us) and went to pick it up. The place seemed clean, the staff seemed friendly, and the bag of wings smelled like Heaven itself farted in the car. We live maybe 10 minutes away from this joint but that car ride took 9 hours to complete, due to the mana-like stench, you see. Long story short, I would have eaten the tinfoil my chipotle BBQ wings were wrapped in. The wife loved her mild wings, and said that her blue cheese dressing was 'so f-----g chunky, it's the tits'. We will definitely be back. But don't order the chipotle BBQ wings. Or sesame ginger. They're both sweet, warm, smoky, mouthwateringly savory.. You wouldn't like them. Instead, I'll take them off your hands for free. Because I am a good person like that. (Oh, and if you don't even want to leave your humble abode for fantastic food, they'll deliver. Big woodys always comes through for me. Cali cheese steak is my favorite. Wings are good too. Deliver till 1 am and deliver beer, the manager in Emmaus location is on point. If you're leaving a bad review, I understand the service isn't up to critics par. But I stand by big woodys. read more

Terrible. The service was good, we got a underage waitress. I asked for suggestions and she didn't know, she was underage I understood. The food took so long to come out and the food came out cold. I went in to use the bathroom and no one wore a mask, I asked before going in if I needed a mask and they said it didn't matter, PA requires a mask unless your sitting down. We ordered take-out tonight from Big Woody's EMMAUS location. The order took 1 hour to arrive and the food was cold when it arrived, plus the driver forgot 2 of our entrees and had to come back. Woodys really needs to invest in better staff to provide a higher quality of service. For $90 I would expect much better experience.
