Great food!!! Fabulous staff and all around service!! We were rolling the dice on this dinner out after a day of exploring and we couldn't have found a more perfect place to end out our day. There's a very diverse crowd but everyone seemed friendly and respectful of everyone around them. Now for the food. Quite simply it was an abundance of d*** good food served hot and quiet quickly. No way in the world this food set under a heat lamp. As requested my wife's salad came out with dinner and while everything was great it was actually that salad that stole the show. The wedgeless wedge salad was EVERYTHING we love about wedge salad without the core of a wedge that I always cut around. And let me say this, if you love bacon on your wedge then you'll love the fact that you have to all but dig through the freshly cooked diced bacon to find your bowl of fresh and crisp greens. This place was kinda funny. We came off a hike extremely hungry, didn't waste anytime with ordering everything all at once. Salad came out. Ehhh. Just a big mountain of mess. But we didn't care. The lady got boneless and I got bone in. I think we got 2 minutes into this salad and the wings came out. Hers were probably nuked in the microwave. And my tasted and were the temperature of being dropped in the fryer yesterday. Flash fried at 9a. And served to me at 5p with no warming up. And I have been telling my girlfriend for two days I've been craving wings so bad. While I'm no local. This placed looked to be the key to fixing that craving. And fell flat on its face for me. Horrible experience, waited over and hour for cold food then my sons food never came out at all I had to finally ask another person and again as someone else said they was talking about me as though I'm wrong cause they suck. We for sure will never be back. We had heard both sides of the spectrum about the place and for us it was A bust and waste of money i fact money I shouldn't have spent we should've walked out when they started piece milling it to us cold. We got here and were seated immediately. However, we waited over 15 minutes and then the service was exceptionally poor. We saw our waitress a total of 4 times the entire 1.5 hours we were here. Wonderful meal. I had the fish and chips and it was enough for two. Light, airy batter on the thick white cod fish. Chips were delicious too. My fiance had fish tacos. The cilantro slaw on it was perfect and there was no shortage of fish. He loved it. The outdoor deck is a little noisy but enjoyable with the river so close. The wings that I ordered were way overcooked, and my daughter's chicken nuggets were burnt and rock solid. The service was the worst part. We went to supper there last night and really were impressed by the service and food. Today, however, we had such an unpleasant experience! I am from Cornelia and was going to show my Canadian partner all of the beautiful sights of my hometown. We stopped by Bigg Daddy's in downtown Cornelia and asked for 2 coffees to-go. The greeters politely directed us to the bar...same friendly service as the night before. We go to the bar and I ordered 2 coffees. The bartender called to a woman standing at the other end of the bar and asked her to bring 2 coffees for take-out. After a huge pregnant pause, where she seemed to be deciding whether or not the she would do it, she said ok and headed off for the coffees. Upon returning from the washroom, I saw that the coffees had been delivered to my partner. My partner said the bartender brought the coffees, black, so she asked for some cream. His response was this very loud sigh, gave her a withering look, and stalked off to the kitchen. He brought back a VERY SMALL amount of cream for our 2 coffees. Then my partner had to ask for sugar. Again, another loud sigh, stare, then he walked off and didn't seem like he was going to do anything else for her. He just stayed at the other end of the bar, not pouring drinks, not doing anything but chatting with the other "server". When I returned, my partner said, "If you want sugar, you'll have to ask him for it. Good luck!" So, I looked around to see if there was any sugar on the tables, so I wouldn't inconvenience the bartender. There wasn't, so I had to go over and ask him. I walked to the other end of the bar and asked for some sugar. The bartender got very irate and said, "Yeah man, I just need to make these drinks." His tone indicated he was really annoyed, so I just said ok and waited. THIS NEXT PART IS WHAT COMPLETELY BLEW ME AWAY: The bartender poured the drinks, then stood there and just had a conversation with the woman who had gotten the coffees initially.....for several minutes, while I just sat there waiting. Then, he reaches into a cabinet and brings out a container of various sweeteners that you would normally find on a table. THAT IS ALL HE HAD TO DO???!!!! Being from Cornelia and knowing how some folks react to outsiders, I can only guess that my partner's Canadian accent drew some negative reactions. I really couldn't believe how rudely we were treated. Cornelia is a beautiful town and tourists often go there. I would steer clear of Bigh Daddy's if you aren't a local. Tried some local flavor for lunch. Very disappointed in our flavorless burgers. Ok service. Maybe it was the misbehaving toddler that we were seated right next to that set the tone. Or maybe that the first choice restaurant had 0 customer service, so we left. read more

Always enjoy heading for dinner. Wings are always great! The smoked Mac n cheese is also phenomenal. Have a large drink selection if you enjoy partaking in some adult beverages. They have different specials every day of the week as well. When it comes to prices it's not the cheapest, but for some reason wings are expensive everywhere... Service is normally very good! We always get take out instead of dining in. We have only been once since COVID -19- but if you are looking for a super great pizza- I highly recommend the Zombie pizza! When you pick up food, it's kind of awkward because you get it from the bar and some bartenders let you stand there forever. Try to go to the left of the bar if possible. read more

First and last time here. Sat outside on patio to get seated faster. Colder weather, but we had no issues. Apparently patio seating gets the WORST service. We waited a while for someone to come and take a drink order. Took forever to get the drinks, and one drink order was incorrect. Sent it back, and drink came back sooner then the first round in under 10 minutes but was still wrong (we decided not to bother the server further for the correct drink- still wondering how you can screw up bourbon and ginger ale?!?)! We asked for water, never got it. Placed meal order. I watched server write down what was being ordered, so I assume they got it right. Meals came. One was wrong. Sent it back, less than 8 minutes go by and what looks like the correct meal comes back. Fries were cold and really soggy. Onion rings were frigid. Other meal ordered was good though, hence the two stars. Manager offered 15% off meal and a chance to come back for better service. Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. My brother and I ordered take out. They told us it would be ready in 45 mins so we waited that long even a little more to give them time. My brother goes in to get the food he waited for 40 minutes to get our food. Not to mention a lady came 7 minutes after he went in and she got hers as soon as she got in there. He was there first. This was the worst pizza I've had in years. The crust tasted like cardboard, the sauce was flavorless, and the toppings were scant. I must say this place was worth the travel. Staying at the Apple mountain Resort we were looking for a great place to eat since other places were major misses. We got there around 930pm and were greeted by A.J., who happened to be an awesome server. The food was pleasantly delicious and my family's food was delicious as well. If the only thing I would say was a low was that I failed to have my sons hamburger cooked well. But he ate it without any problems. We will return whenever we come back to the area. read more

1st time @ Big Daddy's first off we were seated and waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our server was a tall gentleman with bushy hair who was polite took our order and made suggestions. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, "excellent"!!!! However things went south from there. Never saw our server again. Had to go to the kitchen for condiments that we asked for that never came. Then when I cut into my burger was not cooked right so back to the kitchen I went. The so called manger Katie came out and never apologized. I advised we have not seen our server she then came to the table and said a young lady was our sever and had been to our table a number of times. Lie! The young lady delivered our food and that was it. Then the manager chided me about who our sever was! Said our server went on break. How can the young lady be our server when you admit our server was on break?! She was extremely rude. You know we hear about how bad patrons treat staff?! How about how bad staff treat patrons?! Great food, most of the time. Friendly place with a nice atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend young children during after hour or sport event times, though. Most waitstaff is attentive and reliable, and that says a LOT; however, lately we have had the run of waitresses who have so many tables that they get a bit confused. I waited tables so that's more on the hostess and/or manager. Recently, it appears some of their new staff seems quite young. One girl walked by wearing a "I worked at Hooters" shirt, a black hoodie that wouldn't stay on her shoulder and a bright pink bra. She must have been the minimum age but looked 15. Definitely NOT the Bigg Daddy's, that we frequent, in Helen, GA! The food is the only decent thing about this location. Service and attitudes aren't worth 1 star. We have given them multiple tries hoping that each disappointing visit was a fluke. Unfortunately, poor attitudes and service seem to be the normal culture here. What a shame! read more
