Food was great! I'm from CA and we have great Mexican food; however, this place is the best I have had since moving here. I only wish they were located in central FL. Had the carnitas street tacos and they came with two sides of salsa - an avocado one and a spicy sauce, the spicy had a nice kick to it and I really enjoyed it. There was enough food to be left over for dinner that evening. My husband had the chimichanga and enjoyed his as well. Also the chips and salsa was delicious. The staff was very nice as well. The food is great. The servers are wonderful. The management - not so good. We were put off by the way he spoke to his staff and his inefficiency. Lots of running around, saying no to customer requests, being rude to servers, and sweating. I'm sure he thought we didn't speak Spanish - we do. He would not let the kitchen serve me a cup of tortilla soup with my dinner. He said I could order the bowl or nada (nothing). Yo entiendo. The customer is always wrong? Also - they don't have flan. Ok if you love real Mexican food then here is where to go. Staff is always friendly and polite and have not had a bad meal in the several times my wife and I have been there where we mainly go for lunch. Never been to crowded and food comes out fast! I mean we did not finish our chips and salsa before our food came out. They have TVs to watch, never is the volume up load so you can easily carry on a conversation which to me is a big plus! If you go, be sure to bring cash because if you try paying with a debit or credit card, chances are it will not go through and be flagged as fraudulent until you verify with the bank and even then, you still may have issues which to me is extremely sketchy. read more

I ordered DoorDash delivery from here and was amazed at how good it was. Usually places skimp on delivery orders but this was amazing. I got the tacos (they come with 5 and I got steak and chorizo with cilantro and onion in soft corn tortillas) they were warm and very authentic and the sauce was really good and spicy. While I usually prefer more traditional Mexican food, sometimes you just have a craving for the Mexican food that we grew up on here in the US. BigOtes didn't disappoint..! I'm a large fella and I went hungry and was expecting to have to order more than one plate but that wasn't the case. I had the Enchiladas Rancheros and the plate was absolutely loaded with food. The enchiladas were on point, everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Was my first trip but definitely won't be my last..!! We really liked this restaurant. The service was good and food was great. The cheese dip is really good. The steak was good perfect and the rice was spot on too. My husband got the fajitas, which you do have to pay a small extra fee for the plate to be sizzling, which I think is dumb, but everything on it was cooked perfect. We also ordered chicken quesadillas and chicken chimichanga. All was good. The only reason for the 4 stars is the salsa. Big O Tes is the new Mexican restaurant in the old Beef O'Brady's building across from Publix on Nine Mile at Pine Forest. Most of the online reviews are good, but some others were not, so we decided to check it out. We were pretty pleased with what we had. Our server was Mellissa, and although she seemed new and not very familiar with the menu, she was adorable, and went back to to ask about things she didn't know instead of making something up. That's a huge plus! The Mexican Dip with chorizo is the best choriqueso I've had from any restaurant around here. My son said the fajitas and said they were fine, but not as good as El Paso. The chicken looked dry to me. He said some of it was, and some wasn't. My husband had the ordered the Chipotle steak with shrimp added. I tasted it and it was smoky and spicy, the way chipotle should be. Very nice flavor with the caramelized onions and peppers! I ordered the Carnita street tacos. It came with slices of avocado on top. I cut up the avocado and asked for more cilantro because I love a lot of cilantro on my tacos. The green sauce tasted vegetal by itself, but was perfect on the tacos. I added both sauces, and all together it made them excellent tacos! The salsa and chips were good. The salsa was a little on the sweet side, and the chips were thin the way I like them. All in all, we had a good meal and a great time! *I will say as a side note though, and it may not have been them, but we got a call from the credit card company today about one of our card numbers being used on the west coast, and had to cancel the card. We used that card last night and haven't used it anywhere else for days. We talked to the manager to give him heads up just in case. He was very nice. read more
