Being from El Paso, Tx the food took me back homeVery good and authentic Mexican food, the way it should be. A lot of options to choose from and lots of seating, with great service and friendly staff. We went at lunch but I am sure it's a fun party place for dinner, definitely do not expect to have conversations during dinner! We ordered the Mexican tacos plate - carnitas and Al pastor- happy to see they each had their own distinct flavor. Loved the Charro beans they were perfect!!! Definitely coming back for more, glad to feel at home in Pensacola with this gem!

The food and service was amazing. I really loved the lunch enchiladas, there were many options on what to choose from, and the dessert was amazing!!

Loved the Colorful exterior every time we drove by, so craving Mexican Food it was time to give El Paso a try. The Interior was festive and colorful with the smell of delicious food and margaritas. Our server was very helpful with explaining the menu and giving suggestions. I ate the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail and Mixed Shrimp and Fish Ceviche. The Shrimp Cocktail flavor was savory sweet but missing chili heat. I asked for fresh chopped jalapenos that added the heat I was missing in every bite. My biggest complaint with the Shrimp Cocktail was the tail-on shrimp??? I've ordered Cocktails De Camaron, Mexican Shrimp Cocktails in many countries and never had it served with tail-on shrimp. The Ceviche was very fishy smelling and tasted old, also missing chili pepper heat. My wife only ate a chicken enchilada and tasted my food. We finished the meal with Sopapilla's and Honey topped with whipped creme.

This was my first time here, and I was here for a birthday party. When I arrived, the table was not set up even after my friend already called and made reservations. Service was okay. Shredded beef chimichanga was good ($17). The watermelon margarita was too sweet. Medium size was around $15. The skinny margarita ($12) tasted like sour patch candy... too sour! I also ordered a burger to-go. Everything including the tip was over $70 for two people.

We met some friends here on a week night to grab some dinner. It was pretty noisy and hard to have a conversation. The service was ok but not great. As far as food goes there are better Mexican restaurants in the area.

    57. Camarones ala Brochetas so good!

We have passed by this restaurant for a year and today we stopped. The restaurant is attractive on the outside as well as the inside. With beautiful colors and decor. The restaurant was very clean and while we were there some of the employees were continuously cleaning which is always good. After walking in we were greeted immediately and sat by Marvin, he was polite and quick on his feet. Everything we ate was delicious from the hot sauce to the plates we ordered and prices are decent. The food was awesome and we will be returning to try more.

The front entrance. This restaurant is very clean.

You have to know what you want before you walk in the door. I was asked 10 times what I wanted before I could even sit down and get a menu and get a high chair to sit my kid down and look at the menu. I was trying to order a fried chimichanga and explain I didn't want a wet soggy burrito but that's what I got it came with covered in hot queso that they spilled on my baby's head. I should have left then but the waitress kept asking what I want while my baby was crying and all I wanted was to leave. It was a nightmare the whole time. The mural outside is pretty.

So I decided to give El Paso a try. I read some Yelp reviews that mentioned their Al Pastor and how it has pineapple incorporated into the dish, which sounded very much like what I enjoyed tremendously on a trip down to Baja California. I got seated and my waiter showed up right away, got me my Coke Zero, chips, salsa, and took my order. We're off to a good start I thought to myself. I ordered the Al Pastor fajitas. Well... it was okay. Canned pineapple rings grilled with the pork and onions in some very light seasoning. The chips were good, the salsa was fresh with a good flavour, but not much of a kick. I asked for some hot salsa. The waiter took quite a while to get it to me, but when I finally got it, it was pretty good. It was there habanero salsa. The place is a little on the loud side. They have live music, which was not bad. The band really spanned the spectrum from George Jones to Eric Clapton... pretty eclectic. I guess a little something for everyone, and I like it all! Shortly after bringing my hot salsa, the waiter reappeared with my check, another Coke Zero, and told me he would be my cashier. Ok, so he takes off, about five minutes later I put my card on the tray and wait. About 20 minutes later I decide I'm tired of waiting and I get up and ask the hostess if she can help me. Just then my waiter returns and checks me out. I'm not sure if I'll return. The food was mediocre, the service was kind of hit & miss, and that hot salsa I asked for came at a price... $2 to be exact. Dinner for one (I went solo) came in at about $30. I'll continue to be on the lookout for good Mexican food in Pensacola. When I find it I'll let you know!

Kaley, the bartender worked well with all our guests, including the kids and non-alcohol drinkers. They loved her mocktails! Definitely recommend this venue!

Where do I even begin?…read more We had our wedding at Garden & Grain this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. Being able to look back and see how smoothly things ran is every Bride's dream, and without a doubt you will have the same experience that we did here. Thank you G & G/Perfect Plain/Perennial Hospitality for the amazing experience on our wedding date. You have no idea what this meant to us. It means even more to feel that you guys actually enjoyed being there with us. Pat yourselves on the back and know that you are shining examples of what a wedding venue is supposed to operate like. Cheers to you guys, thank you once again for everything!
