This is a hidden gem! I have walked by it several times on the way to coffee. I needed real food so popped in just as happy hour started. I got the sandwich and beer combo. ($10.98) Was a delicious fried chicken sandwich (or you can get it grilled ) and the best jojo's ( other side options available) I have ever had! Sandwich had a delicious slaw and pickles, and the JoJo's had a crispy coating and were nice and fluffy inside, cooked to perfection. The place is a cozy bar restaurant and the guys are friendly, service was quick! This is going to be a go to for me!

We stopped by the Big Chicken for lunch this past Sunday, where I had one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever ordered. I ordered the PDX Hot Chicken sandwich. It was crisp, yet juicy. The Sarat Gat Peppers sauce was deliciously spicy. It came with an order of Jo-Jo's. The jo-Jo's were well seasoned and THICK! I also ordered the Fried Mac & Cheese Bites. They could have used a little more flavor, however the ranch and Fresno sauce helped makeup for the lack of flavor in the Fried Mac & Cheese Bites.

The thing that stuck out the most at this establishment was the decor, the seasoning, presentation, and crunch of the food. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich a la carte, which is nice because I'm not big on jo-jo fries. The Sammie had a great crunch to it and it tasted amazing with the white gold and Fresno sauce on it. I like that they don't drench the friend chicken in it and turn it soggy. It allows the chicken to be crunchy then with the pickles it's on it makes it more crunchy. The potato bun was soft and pair great with everything. Instead of fries I got a 6 piece of their wings and they did not disappoint. They smoke, then fry them and cover them in dry spice. They're crunchy and taste very flavorful. I wish I would gotten 12. It wasn't enough food that I went and ordered some of the fried Mac n cheese bites. Once again crunchy they blended nicely with the zesty ranch and Fresno sauce, Cheesy as well and they brought at the perfect temp not overly hot. My girl friend ordered the PDX Hot Chicken sammie. HEADS UP the heat will catch up as you eat the sandwich. It's not super hot, I give it a 6 out of 10, with a 10 being super hot. The zesty ranch and maple sarat gat sauce pair perfectly with the chicken thigh and remains, you guessed it, crunchy. Then you put it in between two slices of Texas toast and you get a great tasting sammie that'll get you breathing and sweating a little. The price is fair and I don't think too expensive. The vibe of the restaurant is fantastic and the decor is cool. The customer service was great too, which is better than most places these days. Bigs is easy to find and Parking is easy as well.

Stopped in to Big's Chicken to try their Portland Burger Week burger. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a relaxed feel and is clean. The Country Fried Burger was delicious. I give it a 10/10. I love their food, so it won't be long before I visit again. If you've never tried Big's Chicken, I would definitely put it on your list of places to try.

Big's know chicken. Alabama style means so guud. Perfectly fried, juicy tender center. Fried Broccoli with Pimento Cheese Spread ~ order the large. So guud. JoJos ~ order the large. Seasoned & fried so guud. A couple easy drinking beers on tap is all you need. The focus here is chicken. Classic southern decor, friendly southern hospitality and southern style menu makes this shop 5 stars. Roll Tide!

Really good, insanely fast, the fresh cucumber pickles were a great little side for the wings. Currently eating "keto-ish" the fried dry rub wings seemed safe enough. Really great. Good as a wing gets. Not cheap but not expensive either. Getting something to eat while my wife has surgery across the street. She was starving and will be upset when she finds out. I can't eat the chicken for her... Or did I? I ate the chicken for her. Good deeds, great chicken.

We stayed at a rental walking distance and heard some great stuff about this spot and thought we'd check it out. We both got the PDX hot chicken sandwich with bun subbed for toast and jojo potatoes. Great portions since we were starving and we appreciated the variety of sauces it came with. I love my creamy and my partner loves her spicy sauces! From the pic you can gather it was finger lickin good ha. One minor ding was that it didn't have the crunch level we'd liked. Can't speak to the service or vibe inside the space since we ordered takeout.

Fried chicken sandwich was actually so good. Honestly could have been the best chicken sandwich I've had. The spice and fry was perfect and the chicken was very juicy too. It was messy af but I didn't care because it was so tasty. Somehow a pickle got on top of my sandwich but who cares. Service was good and friendly. They also got our orders out relatively quick. Inside was rustic and homey. There was cool wooden decor and I like the vibe. Good place to watch football. Definitely check this place out.

The chicken here is nasty! We ordered wings, fried mac, vegan rice, pickles and Jojo's. The only thing that was good was the JoJo's. Small un-meaty chicken, that we did NOT eat. The wings still had feathers on them. The Mac bites were bland inside and covered in salt on the outside. Cucumber salad was average. Vegan rice was decent lacked depth of flavor but still consummable. Save your money!!!

Sandwich week brought me and Joe here. Great menu I recommend the pickles and bean salad. They had a tiki inspired drink on tap along with plenty of can options and a few taps. The chicken sando was delicious. There's a lot of room in this place, vaulted ceiling and several TVs with sports. Good for solo to group or 4-6 (if you can find a table). Can be busy given the location near the hospital. I went on a Friday night a peak time and sat at the bar

Went here for wing week. The wing week special was loaded wings. I thought the regular wings and jojo's stood out. Nice ambiance and big screen TVs playing Oregon football. Good times, check it out

The crab fried rice is a fan favorite for good reason--it's flavorful, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites are the samosas and the roasted cauliflower, both of which are full of amazing spices and prepared with so much care. What really makes Nom Nom stand out, though, is the people behind it. The owners and chefs are genuinely welcoming and passionate about what they do, creating an atmosphere that feels just as memorable as the food itself. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, you're always treated like family. Great food, wonderful people, and a warm, inviting experience make Nom Nom one of my favorite places to eat.

But even worse, they were so dry that it felt like it was heated at 400° for 30 minutes. And for $16 that's horrific, I would say that this is like the wings you would find at a dive bar at 11 PM with no choices, and they would probably only charge you about $8 to $10. The Momo was just simply not good. We got the chili chicken and they were extremely small, over fried, and the sauce taste just like a store-bought, sweet thai chili sauce Lastly, we got the nacho for nacho week and oh my God was that a disappointment as well. It came out extremely cold, and it might be intended to serve not hot, but this was like straight out of the fridge cold. If you look at the pictures they have on the nacho week website, it looked nothing like it. It was a disgrace as it was probably 90% nacho in 10% everything else. If you split up the toppings, it would only need about four or five chips before you've exhausted all the toppings that came with it. Then you're left with 90% of just tortilla chips. I don't know how this place got so many good reviews but either this is a really bad day, but we got three separate dishes that were all bad, but I'm inclined to think that it's just simply bad.

Walked in and was pretty surprised there was no one around. (Head-scratch) OK, I'll try them anyways. No one at the counter either. I checked out the menu board and just waited, np. Out comes, possibly the owner or cook, whom was helpful about the types of wings and sauces but that was about it with the interaction. I guess helpful enough, even thought I've never been here. So I went with the 12-piece Bone-in Wing Combo (@ $29.49), which also comes with fries and coleslaw. The sauces I chose were the galbi and hot honey mustard as recommended. At first, I wasn't sure which wings were which, meaning they both almost looked the same. But obviously the hot honey mustard was lighter in color versus the galbi. The wings were crispy and excellent, but a tad bit over saucy. I wish I had more crisp on the outside. Maybe I'll ask for sauce on the side next time. Also, the big box of Crinkle Fries were decent, but I thought the coleslaw for some reason was very peppery. I didn't understand why. I guess that's their style of slaw, idk. Overall, I really wanted to love this joint, but I feel that it's just a 3-star kind of place imho. It's the price versus taste versus how hot it was outside. Unfortunately, the place didn't have any a/c on and the tables didn't look as clean as the other older posted pics on yelp. Someday, I'll be back to hopefully upgrade my review, but for now, it is what it is.
