    Gyro

Would have given it 0 stars if I could have been allowed. DO NOT get the gyros. Microwaved meat and bread. Not edible. A waste of money. One bite and it turned my stomach. My husband got the potato salad as well and he said he the potato salad tasted like a mouthful of mustard. Spent almost 30.00 for a lunch I could have bought at Auldis for around 12.00. (They have prepackaged kits for 7.99) Love the Bill and Ruth's in Broken Arrow. This one? I will never go to again. The manager/owner even walked by and saw that I had only taken one bite. Didn't say anything. Bad service, bad food, and over priced.

delicious footlong "belly buster" sub sandwich, from the best bill & ruth's sub shop in town. no lie it's a real "belly buster". tree b.

rarely do I give a 5 star rating to any place. don't believe me, read my reviews. there are reasons this place deserves the 5 star rating. 1) the food, is always consistently good. sure their human and may make a mistake once in rare while, like another review pointed out with a "gyro". BUT did she mention the problem/mistake to them, and give them a chance to fix it, or did she just get pissed off and leave. sounds like the latter. sorry, but don't believe it's fair to complain, bitch, and moan if don't give them the chance to "fix" the problem/mistake. whenever I rarely had a problem/mistake they fixed it "no problem", with an apology for the problem/mistake, and a great attitude, and a friendly smile. 2) the quality of the food is always fresh, and the portion sizes are very generous. unlike some other "sub" places in town. 3) the price. have heard "complaints" about the price, that "subway" is cheaper. really, really. well here's the cold hard, concrete facts. the fact is "subway" is NOT cheaper. ok, "subway" offers 4 subs for $5 each, but ONLY 4 different subs, no real selection, no real choice. this "bill & ruth's" sub shop offers "daily specials", EVER DAY, 7 days a week. that's 7 different subs, a different sub for each day of the week, NOT just 4 subs like "subway" offers. also ALL the "daily specials" include a drink and a bag of chips. ALL the "daily specials" include a full "footlong" sub sandwich, a drink and a bag of chips for UNDER $10. just try and get a footlong "club" sub, or half the other sub sandwiches on the menu, a drink, and a bag of chips for under $10 from "subway", there's "no way". 4) last but by no means least is the owner himself, "hassan", a very nice, kind, and friendly man who has devoted over 20 years of his life to building, growing, and establishing the BEST "bill & ruth's" sub shop in t-town, tulsa, oklahoma. "hassan" and his wonderful family live and grew up in tulsa. try and find a "subway", where someone, hell anyone has worked there for 20 years, even 10 years, hell even 5 years, they DO NOT exist. "subway" is a chain restaurant, with locations all over the country, sadly known for high employee "turn over", because they don't pay their employees a decent wage, and treat their employees like crap. unfortunately, they treat their customers hardly better than their employees. 5) buy from and support locally, family owned "hassan's" bill & ruth's sub shop, the BEST sub shop in t-town, tulsa, oklahoma. work, live, and support "tulsa", and our great "tulsa" businesses. (sorry, for the long and wordy review, but a great place like "hassan's" bill & ruth's sub shop and "hassan" himself, deserves a long and praise worthy review.)

Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The food wasn't very good in my opinion. I chose the turkey sandwich. Although the turkey was real turkey breast, not deli meat, it didn't have a lot of flavor. There also weren't a lot of toppings, and bread ratio was too bready. There isn't an option to "build your own" like Jersey Mikes or Subway, so you're kind of stuck with what you get. It wasn't awful, just not that good. Service made up for mediocre food.

Neither looked up to see me standing there. After six minutes standing there one looked at me. Came up and asked me if she could help me. I told her my name and was there to pickup my sandwiches. With this "you dumb butt look" and said "it's right over there"and walked off. Remember I've never been there before and I hadn't seen the shelf holding our food. Place is small with six or so tables. Got home with our sandwiches. My Italian Sub was SO WET AND SOGGY! The lettuce and thinly sliced tomato were drenched in some unidentified liquid substance. I pulled all of the let out of the sub. Leaving me with a bun that was falling apart. Torn off about half of the top and bottom of the bun. Flavor of meat was okay at its best. I ate one half Wife's Homemade Turkey sub was bland and tasteless. She ate 1/3 of one half. Two bags of chips were the hit of the meal. $29.60 wasted. Can't say we didn't try.

Both sandwiches came with homemade potato chips, a mix of regular and sweet potato and they were absolutely delicious. The Dutch Crunch Sandwich was packed with turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato, arugula, and avocado mayo on dutch crunch bread. They don't skimp on toppings at all, there was plenty of turkey and bacon, and every bite was flavorful. Dalton's Double Deuce was another standout. Ham, egg salad, olive tapenade, and arugula on a fresh Italian roll. It felt like a grown up version of an egg salad sandwich. The olive tapenade adds a great punch of flavor, though it leans a little salty. And the cookies... unbelievably good. Truly some of the best cookies I've had. The Brown Sugar Cookie has a gooey center and deep caramel flavor, and the Oatmeal Cookie without no raisins, surprised me, I didn't miss the raisins at all. It tastes like it has a light honey glaze to me, and it's phenomenal. Trenchers is definitely a new favorite.

I ordered the full size, and it was huge. I ended up splitting it into two meals. My only complaint was the house-made chips. I paired everything with a root beer, and overall it was a fantastic meal. Aside from the chips, I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

My husband ordered the roast beef and fries. The first order of the roast beef sandwich hardly had any onions but the worst part was the hair discovered on the fries. Upon the second delivery of the same meal, we discovered a SECOND hair. Listen, we've both been in the service industry so we try to have grace toward servers and kitchens. However, the worst part was that our server indicated they had just switched kitchen staff and yet this occurred on the same dish. Secondly, my husband had the view into kitchen and saw a kitchen staff member look out the window into the restaurant and roll his eyes at our table, ostensibly for returning the meal. First time is a mistake. Second time, completely different hair thickness - felt intentional. Food is your typical brunch and diner fare. If you go, be sure to thoroughly check your food prior to eating.

They even customized her sandwich a bit. When we were leaving, they got her a water to go. Nice touches and it was appreciated. I tried the regular cheese steak with sweet peppers. I would recommend getting small or medium sandwiches instead of the large. The amount of sodium in a small original is 1640 and the recommended daily amount of sodium is 2300 or below, so that leaves 660 for the rest of the day. If you are on a low sodium diet, they do have some cheese and veggie sandwiches and salads below 1,000 mg. Most restaurants put a lot of salt in their food. It's not just Schlotzsky's. My husband has to limit his sodium so we check. The service was fast and friendly, but this restaurant is lacking in ambiance. The seats in the booths are wearing out. They look bad and they're uncomfortable. They have a nice patio area where you can probably take your dog. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays pizzas are $5. Wednesdays are bogo pizza nights.
