Nothing to write home about. We got a side of fries one time, and it was HUGE. My husband has had burgers and chicken tenders. No real complaints. This is the new location and recently opened. The location is large and split between restaurant and the tap room. The taproom has golf simulators and electric dart boards. It's a very large area. In the taproom there is table service, in the restaurant it is counter service just like it's always been. The greeting was slow, the initial drink order was slow but the staff was super friendly and clearly still learning the process. I went over there in the parking lot to look for it in the building was abandoned. I thought oh no I thought I made a special trip over to Webster to eat. Then I went up above and they have a brand new restaurant with a bar. The food is excellent. The hamburger is huge especially if you get it with everything and their special Bill Gray's hot sauce. Food was good as usual however the experience at the register was quite disappointing. The guy taking our order was acting visibly frustrated rolling his eyes and speaking with a stern voice in the process of clarifying our french fry order of all things. Bill Gray's moved their location a few hundred yards south, The new location is twice as large as the previous location. I think this has resulted in a sharp drop in service and food quality. Last week my wife and I stopped for a cheeseburger and fries, their center piece product, you order at a counter. They give you a buzzer to announce when when your food is ready for counter pick-up. Our buzzer went off and I got to the counter they told me that they made a mistake and my food was not yet ready, so, back to my seat. Several minutes later the buzzer went off again and our food was ready this time, this was 24 minutes from the time we placed the order. Both our cheeseburgers were dry and somewhat charred, they appeared to have been cook previously, a piece of cheese thrown on top and just microwaved. We have been going to Bill Gray's for years and this was first really a bad meal we have had. Fortunately, there's a Wendy's right around the corner. read more

A lot of Taureans seem to work here. They're stubborn and very alpha. I'm not sure how they all manage to get along. Maybe they don't. I think the large number of Taureans is why they call it Bull Gray's. In fact the employees at this location are really nice. Their "World's Greatest Cheeseburger" is good (in fact it tastes a lot like the ones I've had at other locations) and they make good White Hots too. I was at this particular location about 10 days ago. I stayed for a good 45 mins using wifi and eating my burger and enjoying the afternoon. I'd definitely come back to this location. It has outlets, good wifi, good food, and really nice employees. Also I had a nice conversation with one of the employees about where the good Gyros are in town. Bill Gray's is what it is - a cheap place to grab a consistently good burger and fries. As far as counter service restaurants are concerned, I think Bill Gray's is one of the best. The burgers come nicely dressed with toppings (no paper thin tomatoes or skimpy sprinkling of some shards of lettuce found here) and and are nice and juicy. With a coupon, my boyfriend and I were able to get two cheeseburgers (look for BOGO coupons. They're everywhere from the paper to the phone book - assuming you still get a phone book) an order of fries and a small fountain drink to share for $11. Not too shabby! We both walked away satisfied but not blown away by an amazing culinary experience. But, then again, that's not what we were expecting anyway! read more

Ordered a small and regular sized milkshake and after waiting 30 minutes we asked if they would be ready soon as there were no other customers waiting... they pulled them out of the cooler. I used a coupon that was recommended by the cashier. Two burgers a french fry for fourteen ninety nine. The young lady cashed me out and proceeded to leave. My wife and I sat down and waited for our food. Another young lady, came out with our food in a bag. I was confused because we were dining in. I open the bag and theres two burgers and a fry. The cashier who rang me up told me I can use the coupon twice so I was expectin four burgers and two fries. I told the supervisor, Zack that my order was incorrect and I just want a refund. Zack says, I dont know how to do refund... Zack takes my reciept and attaches it to a note written in marker, to the day shift manager. The next day I called and spoke with Peter the manager says I can get you a refund sent back to your credit card in two days. A few days pass. I call their corporate office and was to that their I.T. department would send the refund and it can take a week or so. Today is 6-13-23. I went to bill grays on 5-25-23. Bill Gray's - Many locations, Ridge Road in Webster specifically - 5/11/10 So, to Bill Gray's! And, Bellyman means that as a command! Go to Bill Gray's! They bill themselves as "The World's Greatest Cheeseburger", and while Bellyman will have to disagree on that point, they do make a damn fine burger! Bellyman likes his with "everything" which means onions, mustard and hot sauce. Although, if you're not a resident of Rochester, you might take a different meaning from that. In Rochester, "hot sauce" can mean a melange made of grease, traditional hot sauce, grease, griddle scrapings (or any other kind of unidentifiable meat-like substance), grease and love. It is to be experienced to be fully enjoyed...especially on a garbage plate, but that's a review for another day. Back to Mr. Gray's...this is a local chain with restaurants all over the area. Food typically takes a little longer at Bill Gray's than other chains because it's made fresh, and the wait is worth it. The fries are always done crispy and perfect, the rolls are fresh and the burgers never dry. It's a tough call to decide if Bellyman would prefer to go to Bill Gray's or Five Guys. More often than not the decision is made on how hungry Bellyman is. Since Five Guys gives you a shopping bag full of fries, he will always leave full. But, Bellyman thinks Bill Gray's burgers taste better. Bellyman's only complaint is they give you your burger on a plate that's barely big enough to contain it. Since they're greasy, as a burger should be, they drip. This means Bellyman cannot put his burger down once he's started it. This was my first time trying Bill Gray's, they have amazing deals on their special plates on Tuesdays. So I went on Tuesday. I got a mix plate with burger and a hot dog with the sides of fries and sweet macaroni salad. To my thinking I thought I would get everything separately but to my surprise I got everything in one plate. One on top of another. I got extra chilli on top and side and they provided it. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be but it was alright. Taste wise they could have done better. As the taste was more bland than exciting. But it's quantity is value for money. Ordered take out from this location. Burgers, fries, onion rings, and drinks. The positives include the toppings on the burgers were all correct and the onion rings were cooked perfectly. The downside was there were no fries (shame on me for not checking at the counter) and that was disappointing to say the least. The burger was way over cooked and the cook clearly kept pressing on the burger while it was cooking and I am guessing the cook believes that will expedite the the cooking. My burger was super dry, flavorless, and as flat as a pack of matches. Salt and pepper goes a very long way, Folks. Last, I ordered online and it was promised at 7:30pm. Wait until almost 8 for the order. Let's be real...it's food so no loss of life and no kittens or puppies were harmed. However, if they can't abide by the promise time, give a longer window of time. Set expectations and look like a hero when you deliver on time or early. The food is usually pretty good and I am hopeful that this was just the result of a bad night of service. We all have off days. Will give them another try another day. I could only get through 1/2 of the flat burger so I have to let that digest before thinking about a return visit. It's a burger joint and pretty much on par with Five Guys, minus the copious amounts of peanuts. The cheeseburgers are pretty good and the fries are decent. If you like to have a bit of customization with your toppings, this place not be your style. Your choice of toppings on a cheeseburger are pretty much your basic condiments, or you can go "Deluxe" and get lettuce, tomato, and mayonaise (nothing says classy like mayo on a burger!). If you're looking to change things up, I recommend you get the Bill Gray's hot sauce on your burger. It has a nice kick and it's a nice change from the typical Frank's Red Hot or whatever generic hot sauce you normally get a chain fast food burger joint.
