I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger combo with fries. The meat was not bad but the pictures I attached show how greasy it was. The bottom half of the bun was so saturated with grease that I couldn't pick it up and it was soggy, floppy and I couldn't eat it. I ate the meat with a knife and fork. The fries were crinkle cut, the kind you buy in the freezer section at any grocery store, and had no seasoning, no flavor, nothing special at all. I could have done better at home. Overall, very disappointing and gross. It's a shame. I wanted to support a local business, but burgers don't need to saturate the bun to taste good. When I go to a restaurant, I expect the food to be better than what I could make myself at home. read more

Normally burgers are good. Not today! MONDAY COLUMBUS DAY Cheeseburger came with less than 1/2 bun on bottom. Went to counter and staff asked if I wanted a new bun, then asked a whole bun? Didn't apologize or assist as I changed the bun. Had to request new toppings. Woman next to me brought up a burger with a 6 inch hair hanging out. We sat at the bar. Bartender was this super friendly guy, fast with the drinks and humor! Watched som w college football on the screens. Beer was icy cold and fresh not to mention great price. Stopped into Bill Gray's last night for a burger & onion rings. Living in Upstate SC we don't have yummy burger places like Bill Gray's! Burger was awesome and the onion rings were spot on!! The person who helped me was so kind and nice. We got to talking about ducks & Jeeps. She has an orange Jeep & mine is pink. When I paid for my food she gave me my change with the pink duck!! That really made my night I would give a 4 1/2 star but the option isn't there so hence the 4 star. My only gripe was I asked for some extra pickles on the side and there was something white & creamy with the pickles. read more

First timer! I went with my family and the only thing that took long was for us to figure out what to eat because the menu is huge! I got their vegetarian burger and it was huge compared to the roll. Haven't been to Bill Gray's in Brockport in quite awhile for three reasons: 1. I had a serious personal beef with someone who worked at this location (and for all I know, still does). 2. Upon one of my visits, the employees were acting very annoyed towards each other (it was as though they just had a huge fight beforehand that wasn't properly resolved), which made the environment awkward and extremely uncomfortable for me. 3. Soooo disappointing. We travel from Vermont to visit family in Brockport a few times a year and we always look forward to stopping in to pick up food from here. Lately we have had trouble with them getting our orders correct and have had to drive back to pick up missing items which is a pain. This last time was the last straw for us. We were told that we could come in and receive a free great plate because of their last mixup and that all I had to do was provide my phone number connected with my order. After my partner ordered his food I explained I should have a free great plate coming my way. I'm not a fan of the fries and haven't tried anything else but I'm always satisfied when I come here. I am not fond of "fast food" or "burger joints" in general. That is why Bill Gray's Brockport is so exceptional. First, it is clean, and I mean CLEAN. Restrooms, floors, counters, tables, everything. I have seen the general manager personally washing floors. Now THAT is a commitment to cleanliness. The food is very good. And they hire good people: the serving staff are very friendly and helpful. I am specifically commenting on the BROCKPORT restaurant. I have been to other Bill Gray's and they are not up to this high standard. Bring coupons, as it is not cheap. But it is real, tasty food. The fish fry is among the very best. White hot dogs (a Rochester NY exclusive, pretty much) are the large Zweigels hots (1/4 pounders). Lettuce, tomato and onion are free on any sandwich; many places charge extra for those. I drive out of my way to eat here, and I am always glad I did. read more
