My experience with Bill Kay GMC was extremely disappointing and frustrating…read more On May 4, 2026, my family visited the dealership around 6:00 PM looking for a specific vehicle. We explained exactly what we wanted and needed. Although they did not have the vehicle in stock, the sales team assured us they could locate a comparable vehicle from another dealership. We agreed on pricing, and while we were initially prepared to leave and continue shopping elsewhere, we were repeatedly encouraged to stay because they were confident they could secure the vehicle for us. Because we urgently needed a vehicle by the next day, May 5, we relied on their assurances. We agreed not to pursue other dealerships and placed a $500 deposit to move forward with the purchase. The following day, around 4:00 PM, our salesperson sent a text message stating there was a "logistics delay" and that the vehicle would be available the next day. The explanation seemed unusual, so I contacted the dealership directly. That's when I was informed that they actually did not have a vehicle available for us at all and there was nothing they could do. Needless to say, I was extremely upset. The issue wasn't just that the vehicle fell through--it was the way the situation was handled. We were given assurances that caused us to stop shopping elsewhere, only to be informed at the last minute that no vehicle was available. Better communication and transparency could have prevented a great deal of stress and inconvenience. As a parent, I was suddenly left scrambling without reliable transportation and worried about how I would get my children to school the next day. The dealership left us completely stranded. Fortunately, we immediately went to Riverfront GMC, where we found an even better version of the same make and model for over $1,000 less than the price we had agreed to at Bill KGMC. Based on this experience, I will not return to Bill Kay GMC and cannot recommend them to others. The lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through demonstrated a serious lack of integrity. Buyers should proceed with caution and make sure they have firm confirmation before relying on any promises made. I will also add, in November of 2025 we purchased form Bill Kay Nissan in DG and they were amazing! We already know we will go back there when we need our next car.

My salesperson, Robert, was super sweet, helpful, and attentive throughout the process, he did everything right on his end. I had already completed their credit application and was literally in an Uber on my way to finalize the purchase when I received a call letting me know the car had been sold out from under me. While I appreciate Robert's hard work, this experience highlights a severe lack of internal communication and basic professionalism across management and the sales team. Selling a vehicle to someone else while an active customer has an agreed upon deal, a completed credit app, and is actively en route is completely unacceptable. It shows a total disregard for the customer's time and money. If you shop here, Robert is great to work with personally, but proceed with caution because management clearly doesn't honor ongoing transactions or coordinate internally to respect buyers.

Buyer Beware: Proceed with Caution My experience with this…read moredealership was disappointing, and I believe prospective buyers should be aware of several concerns I encountered after purchasing my vehicle. Shortly after the sale, I discovered that the vehicle had not received proper maintenance prior to delivery. The vehicle had three faulty TPMS sensors, a nail in the rear tire near the sidewall, dirty engine air and cabin air filters that had not been replaced, and it was overdue for a basic oil change. Additionally, the spare key provided with the vehicle did not work. On 7/11/26, the day after my purchase, I contacted Farooqi to report these issues. He assured me he would call me back, but I never received a response. I followed up on 7/18/26 and spoke with Mo, who stated that he would discuss the matter with Ricky, the owner, and get back to me. Unfortunately, I never heard back from him either. I was also promised an oil change by Sonny, who said he would send the details via email. Despite that commitment, I never received the promised information or service. Overall, my experience was extremely negative. I ended up spending hundreds of dollars out of pocket to address issues that should have been identified and resolved before the vehicle was sold. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership is to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic before finalizing the sale. Based on my experience, once the transaction is complete, customer support and follow-up assistance may be very limited.

Bought a new 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage for a great price as it was "you pay what we pay" Ford employee pricing plus a great Packey Webb discount. I came looking at a used 2023 and got new 2024 for the same money. MSRP $ 36,790 I paid $ 35,195 including tax, tip, license, etc. Yesterday I come in for an oil change and then traded in the Bronco Sport (with 5,015 miles on it) for the car I originally wanted but the price was over $ 10,000 more than the Bronco Sport. I got a 2024 Escape PHEV with premium trim ($ 48,775 MSRP) for $ 5,000 and my Sport! It only has 388 miles on it. It was a NY original purchase that quickly got repossessed and Packey Webb bought it at auction. Great car, fantastic price.

A major part of their success and why we keep purchasing from Castle is their service department run by Chris Jones. Chris and his team are very friendly and professional. I…read morelooked at a 2017 Subaru Outback, and saw that it had a considerable sized dent on the passenger left door, the front bumper had a large crack in it at the front driver's side, and the bumper was also not properly connecting to the driver's side headlight and front left ¼ panel. I met a salesman by the name of John Pauly, and also the General Sales Manager Mike Nemeth. After negotiations (including running a Car History Report, and included running my credit), we come to an agreement that the car would be repaired (bumper and dent in door), and that if the service department didn't come back with any other issues, that the car would be sold to me for $14,400 plus fees, and that they would give me a trade in for my vehicle of $3,250 (I have the original paperwork given to me by Mike Nemeth showing the selling price and trade in price for my car. It also lists the date of this report and the sales person's name). I then took the car for a drive, and when John and I both heard some grinding noises coming from the front end of the car, both sides. I told him to have the car checked out by his service department, and to let me know what was wrong with the car. As he and Mike had agreed to, that provided they fix what was wrong with the car, I would still purchase it for the same agreed amount. On Friday, 6/12/26, John called me at around 10am, and said that they were about to give the car to the service department, and wanted to know if I was serious about the terms that we had discussed. I said yes, provided that the car checked out with service department with no other issues, and that they fix the car as we had discussed. Later in the day, John texted me back stating that the car didn't pass service inspection., and that they were going to wholesale the car to an auction. About an hour after John had texted me, I texted him back, and asked what exactly they had found wrong with the car. He texted back stating that they didn't tell him what was wrong, but that it was not worth keeping it due to too much being wrong with it. This in itself is hard to believe that the sales person does not know what is wrong with a car that he was supposed to sell. So I had my doubts that he was telling me the truth. On Tuesday, 6/16/26, still in the need of a car, and also wanting to see if the car was actually off of the lot, I took a drive back down to Castle Hyundai. Sitting at the front right side of the lot, with the front bumper crack having been fixed, but still not properly connected to the headlight and ¼ panel, and still having the same large dent in the right passenger door, was the car that allegedly was to be wholesaled at an auction. (see attached pictures). On Friday, 6/19/26, I called the dealership and spoke with a sales person by the name of Andy, and asked about the car. He said the exact car that I was referring to and that it was for sale. I told him that I had stopped by earlier in the week and saw that it had a dent in the car door. I asked him if there was anything else wrong with the car, and he said "No." Later this same afternoon, I went back to check the text messages from John Pauly, and he had erased the texts that he had sent to me stating that they were going to wholesale the car and send it to auction, as well as the one where he said that he was not told by the service department what was wrong with the car. I have proof that 6 texts were sent to and from John Pauly on Saturday, 6/12/26, from my cellular phone account. Currently only 2 texts are showing in our conversation, in my Messages App, from this date, and those 2 texts are only ones that I sent to John. None of John's replies are listed anymore. Apparently, he decided to delete them in order to cover his tracks and hide what he told me. And the car sales people wonder why used car sales people get such a bad rap. The disappointing thing is that John didn't do a thing when we met in person without his boss, Mike, the General Sales Manager, knowing about it. So it only makes sense that John was getting direction from Mike as to what to do. So apparently the lies and deception not only are at ground level, but also at upper management. Most people might simply let this go, but I feel that other people should be aware of the character of this business. Apparently, they will do and say anything to make a dollar ... including not honoring their word and verbal agreement. On 6/24/26, I sent an email to their corporate office to their district manager (initials AD). As of today's date (6/30/26), no response has been received. The silence speaks volumes.

Unfortunately for me after much back and forth I did decide to purchase the vehicle, with financing provided by this dealership through Ally on August 1st. Fast forward to September 5th and I reach out to both Ally and this dealership wondering where my paperwork is for how to submit my first payment that is due September 15th. Well it turns out, Ally has no record of the purchase or an account for me when searching by SSN or vehicle VIN, dealership initially told me thats odd that the loan was finalized and they received the funding, after much back and forth with Ally I found this to be a lie. Dealership finance manager never calls you back, and come to find out they never even submitted the paperwork to Ally. Calls to sales manager, finance manager, and complaints to BBB and filed complaints to General Motors and Illinois Attorney General, as if this results in late fees or negative impact on my credit rating from their negligence, legal action will be taken. Wish I would have taken the time and looked up reviews of this dealership before purchasing. All though, I find it rather odd that they do not seem to care to call back and try to correct the financing issue, as it has been almost 45 days I have been driving this truck and they have not received the funding for it. Was never told this was a "YOYO" or "SPOT DELIVERY", was told financing was approved. Have a funny feeling that they are going to try to say financing did not go through and come back with another super high interest rate and try to force me to resign paperwork. To bad for them, I know my legal rights and will not resign unless the deal is the same or better, they can take the truck back and refund my down payment and trade in value and I will go elsewhere.
