Fantastic 2nd car I have bought here in 1 year, 3rd overall. Purchased a 2001 Porsche Boxster in 2011. No issues, great deal, fast transaction. Bought a new 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage for a great price as it was "you pay what we pay" Ford employee pricing plus a great Packey Webb discount. I came looking at a used 2023 and got new 2024 for the same money. MSRP $ 36,790 I paid $ 35,195 including tax, tip, license, etc. Yesterday I come in for an oil change and then traded in the Bronco Sport (with 5,015 miles on it) for the car I originally wanted but the price was over $ 10,000 more than the Bronco Sport. I got a 2024 Escape PHEV with premium trim ($ 48,775 MSRP) for $ 5,000 and my Sport! It only has 388 miles on it. It was a NY original purchase that quickly got repossessed and Packey Webb bought it at auction. Great car, fantastic price. read more

Buyer beware. My car received its first oil change. When they washed my car they used a rag or something without soap and water and scratched it and got something yellow on it. Looks horrible. I reached out to Ryan the service manager right away and received no response. In addition to that, I thought my car had been in an accident as it was done before 1 or 1:30. it was going to take them an hour to return and called 30 min after the drop off time asking if it was in an accident and then i received a new time. It took two hours to get back. Had they not confirmed it was being delivered right away i would have picked it up as opposed to waiting two hours before having a heart attach with a car that has 4k miles on it and is trashed BEWARE of this dealership. Ordering a car through Packey Webb was seamless and their service department is helpful. I ran into a challenge with receiving delivery on an accessory through their parts department. Ultimately, a resolution was reached after discussions between Ford Accessories, the dealership, and communication on their policies. When I raised my concern on overall experience with dealership management, I was met with rather tense conversation which soured my perception of the dealership. I was disappointment in how I was approached by their General Manager and a member of the Webb family. An investigator with the Secretary of State police was been working with us and discovered that the car came from somewhere in Indiana and they were still trying to locate the title. They also discovered that the car's odometer had been changed from over 100k miles down to 40k. They are scam artists and they've even been avoiding calls from the secretary of state police. read more

We purchased a used vehicle from here in October of 2024. The vehicle had fresh undercoating and the salesman had the vehicle put on a lift so that she could look at the undercarriage, but had it high enough that she was not able to see all of the rust and the damage to parts on the vehicle. Jump forward to August of 2025 and the vehicle going to another dealership for repairs and they pointed out all of the issues with the rust on the vehicle. it's really just a giant rust bucket. We purchased a used car here recently, and while the salesperson was great (Liam), they had no idea how to provide the correct paperwork for us to submit for out of state registration. The owner actually said "We don't sell insurance here" Ya think? All we were asking for was the paperwork to register the car - the RTA. This had them confounded for DAYS. But on to the real issue- the car was delivered to my son at college and the very next day the car was misfiring. We called Packey Webb, spoke to Jack, and he stated "well, there is no warranty, the car is not new". After owning it one day. We wanted to return it because we didn't want to buy a car with a preexisting issue, but he refused. By law, he was within his rights, I am aware. But to stick somone with a car that could have a grave issue is terrible. We brought it to an Audi dealer in Indiana, they replaced some parts, charged us $800, and Packey Webb did pay for that after many phone calls, but the car is still having the issue, and now we are stuck with it. I bought a used Chrysler Pacifica from Packey Webb and had nothing but problems from the time I drive off the lot. These issues were not disclosed. Jack Webb was cooperative at first and promised to fix the multiple issues but were unable to fix some of the problems. They finally had me bring it to Napleton Chrysler and they were able to fix the issues after 11 trips to Packey Webb. Now Jack Webb is refusing to pay. Stay away from this dealership at all costs. I should have done more research before buying from them and trusting their service department. Don't make the same mistake. read more

I found the exact car I was looking (a 2025 Mustang Mach-E) on Ford's website. It was supposed to be shipping soon to Packey Webb. So I reached out through the website and got a phone call back immediately. I ordered the new car from them over the phone. The salesman, Adam Reszka, was very friendly and helpful. The process was easy and straightforward. We filled out paperwork and put down a deposit. Unfortunately, there was a delay in getting the car shipped from Texas, and we found the exact same model already in stock at another dealer. Despite having invested time with us, Adam was a gentleman about the situation and cheerfully refunded our deposit. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him in the future. read more

Do not buy a used vehicle from these liars!! A year ago, I bought a Ford E-350 passenger van for 25K. I bought it for my family of 8 so we could go places together as a family. I specifically asked about rust on the body of the van, and they said there was no more than usual, and no rust on the body. They lied through their teeth! A year later, all along the bottom of my family van, is rust showing through. All Packey Webb did was paint over it and then lie about it. They also installed a trailer hitch and never installed the wires for lights (brake lights/turn signals)! It was completely useless to have the hitch, because its illegal to pull a trailer without signal lights! They also installed a backup camera, and they installed it with the camera facing the ground. Pushy sales who tried to insult me after failed attempts of pushing sale on me and wasting my time. I came here to see if they would honor the price I found on "redacted car value website", however after spending about 2-3 hours of my time, they kept jumping around way too high in price to try and get me to just say ok. I knew the exact car, trim, package and price however they failed to budge maybe $100 after about 5 "talks" with the sales manager. After about the 3rd attempt the salesman tried insulting me on why I wanted to do things the way I did. On the 4th time he tried giving me a lesson on savings which was all wrong. And finally after I think they actually jumped up in price I just left. I ended up getting everything I wanted at another dealer not too far away for exact price I wanted. We used Packy Webb consistently and didn't have issues until our Explorer needed something past routine maintenance. There was a front rattle on our Explorer that was noticeable. I took it in twice and was assured everything was fine. I decided to move on from the car due to mileage and the rattle, took my Explorer to them a week after the last "it's fine" appt for trade in and they diagnosed ball joint and suspension issues after a 10 min trade in review. I traded in and bought from a completely different dealer and have no regrets about my additional distance to drive to the dealer. Packy Webb is a completely unethical organization. We walked to the door and two gentlemen that work there were standing at a desk just looking at us. We proceeded to the lot in search of the vehicle. It's customary for salespersons to greet the person at the door or at the lot. We found the car on our own. A very nice looking car. After ten minutes of inspecting the car and still no assistance, we decided that they didn't need our business. My wife decided that she would tell the staff how disrespectful they were toward us. If you value your privacy, stay away. If you'd like to be repeatedly spammed and not be able to effectively opt-out, these are your folks! Several months ago, I was contacted by Ford to replace the airbag on my son's Mustang (I briefly insured it, and they tracked me down for the recall). Ford gave me the option to send someone to my home and do it in my driveway - and since my son is 1500 miles away, active duty Army, and his car was uninsured and not up to date on license plates, I chose that option. Ford chose Packey Webb to perform the service. I have no complaints with Packey Webb's technician - he was professional, on-time, finished the job very fast, and didn't leave any mess behind. To be clear - no problems with that aspect of this situation. BUT - Packey Webb then decided that since I had factory recall service done - that I'd want to receive their sales spam. I was able to opt out of that successfully (I think - I haven't received another spam yet), but I am *very unhappy* that they decided to use my email address for a purpose other than the recall servicing. They were contracted by Ford - not my me - to perform recall work on my son's car. I've never set foot in their dealership. Based on my experience with them, I never will. Now - after I already thought that I opted out of future emails - the "service your car" emails have started. I opted out of that (again) once I received the first one a few days ago (Packey Webb - Why didn't you respect my original opt-out, after deciding to spam me the first time?). I got another servicing spam email today, which is what prompted me to write this review to warn everyone about what you can expect if this dealer gets a whiff of your email address. When you unsubscribe, it says please wait 10 days for it to take effect. Really? You get to spam me for 10 more days? And you also get to spam me if this is "servicing" vs. "sales"? It's really a shame that we don't have computer systems that are capable of connecting to each other in a fashion that doesn't take 10 days advance notice. Oh wait - we do. They are everywhere. Purchased a used vehicle from Packey Webb Ford. My sales person was Jack Webb. Reached agreement on price on the phone. Put deposit down via credit card. Next day he calls and says the car need two tires and engine hood struts. They need to increase the price to cover the repairs would that break the deal. I agreed to the additional costs. I pick up the car and expect that the work is completed. I take it home and a few weeks later, the hood struts fail. I check and they're ORIGINAL. I then check all four tires - they have the identical manufacture date. Two of the tires were never replaced! Well I was taken! I hope this helps others. In my opinion, Packey Webb, and especially Jack Webb, are not people you want to do business with. Not very ethical in my opinion. read more

Avoid at all cost By far the most shady dealership I've ever been to. Was told by them if I didn't buy the car the day I went to go see it, that they would raise the price of the car. I also recorded the whole conversation if anybody is interested on how shady this dealership is. They also in writing promised to fix the issues with the car which they had the car for over two weeks and they only fixed 1 of the 4 items and played dumb when I went to pick up my car. After two weeks of doing nothing with the car they told me to take the car home and they order the parts. I had a very poor experience with this dealership. I put a deposit down on a 2023 Bronco Sport that was in transit. I was very clear with my salesman, that I was on a tight timeline and needed the vehicle before I had to move (a few weeks after the vehicle was scheduled to arrive at the dealer). After the estimated arrival time came and went I called asking for an update. They told me the vehicle was delayed and that it would be another week. After that week came and went I called again and was told the vehicle was further delayed another week. After the vehicle STILL did not arrive by the third projected arrival time I expressed my concern about receiving the vehicle before I had to move. When I told the dealership I couldn't wait any longer they REFUSED to refund the deposit. They claimed the delay was not in foreseeable despite also telling me at this point that transportation delays are common. I know dealerships cannot control when cars come in. However Packey Webb Ford withheld information and did not seem to care at all for my needs as a customer. They never once called me first to notify me of delays. They explained the delays as a result of common transportation logistic difficulties. But at the outset never warned me of these "foreseeable" delays. I felt like just a number for their bottom line rather than a valued customer. read more

Claimed the vehicle was inspected and serviced - wet moldy air filter and misfires: I bought a used 2016 Ford Transit with 107k miles on it. At the time of purchased, the salesman assured me that the vehicle had been checked and serviced - fluids had been changed. Less than a week after the van was purchased, the check engine light came on. Because I live over an hour and a half away from the dealer, I took it to my local Ford dealer who discovered the engine compartment was leaking water into the air filter compartment, over the engine, and wiring harness. It was at that point, we discovered the air filter was wet and moldy less than a week after purchase and no rain since. How can they say that it was inspected without noticing a wet, moldy air filter? Turns out the water leak is a common problem in Transits 2016-2019 and there is a TSB out about the issue. The first engine light was a bad sensor related to water in the engine, and now it is registering misfires in 3 cylinders with a flashing engine light. I've already dumped over $1500 into this vehicle and driven it less than 500 miles since it was purchased over 3 months ago. I explained these issues to Packey Webb used car manager and service manager. I asked them to fix the issues, and I was willing to pay their costs so they would not even be out any money. The best they could do was offer me a discount if I paid to have it towed there. So after knowingly selling me a lemon vehicle, they still want to make profit on doing the repairs for it. After I challenged them on this, the used car manager started to yell at me over the phone saying that businesses are supposed to make profit. I then left a message on the owner's voicemail and received no response in over 2 weeks. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Take your business elsewhere, because they clearly have no real concern for their customers. read more

I challenge you to find a better, more honest, more patient and more honorable car dealership and car salesperson than Packey Webb Ford's Charles Franz. Last July I custom-ordered a new Ford F-150 with Charles. I spec'd it out the way I really wanted it -- which is to say, it was loaded. Absolutely loaded. I gave him a small deposit and then "hunkered down" to wait. He advised me that the chip shortage could extend to months and months... but he'd submit the order promptly and keep his fingers crossed. And he did. A month or so later, I got cold feet. I began to worry about job security and disposable income, so I called Charles and asked to cancel the order. He didn't so much as flinch. He immediately refunded my deposit in full and said he understood, then wished me the best and told me he'd cancel the order. No problem. Fast-forward to April 2022. My eldest son is graduating from college in 30 days and returning home to live for several months as he prepares for his upcoming MCAT. We need another vehicle. My wife tells me, "you're not buying a used truck." She's not wrong. Used trucks are freakin' crazy expensive and she doesn't want the risk of a lemon. New trucks are scarce as hen's teeth. I sheepishly call up Charles and ask him if he has any F-Series trucks on the lot he can sell me for A-Plan (I get the employee discount bc my brother works for Ford). Charles says no -- but get this -- he says, "I've got a 2022 F-150 Hybrid coming in next week. And (laughing) it's spec'd exactly the way you ordered it." What? Charles didn't cancel my custom order! He kept it in line and then he offered me the opportunity to buy it with my A-Plan discount -- just as I was supposed to! But wait. It gets better. When I ordered back in July 2021, Ford gave me a $1,000 cash discount because of the anticipated lengthy wait time. Charles passed that along to me despite the fact that I probably should have forfeited it. But wait. It's still even better... Charles found another $500 cash back from Ford and gave that to me, also. What?? He gave me more cash back on the best-selling full-size pickup in America -- during a supply shortage??!! Yes. He did. He is absolutely amazing. And honest. He's worked at Packey Webb for decades and it's no surprise. Packey Webb is a classy organization and they only hire classy, honorable and respectful salespeople. Seriously. I'm not getting paid to write this review. I get nothing for sharing this story with you. I just want to let everyone know what an outstanding customer experience I had buying a new vehicle from a car dealer. (Gosh, did I just write that?) Charles may not be able to magically make trucks appear during this damn chip shortage, but you owe it to yourself to call him up if you're looking for a new car or truck. I stopped in Packey Webb Ford for an oil change. They are not my regular dealer. While here I was told that there is a recall on my car that would take a half day to do. I didn't have time to wait. I made an appointment with my regular dealer for the recall. I noticed an oil smell and mentioned it to my dealer when I brought the car in. They discovered the oil cap was not put back on after the oil change. I called Packey Webb and Loren Gordner told me to, "pay for the repairs, bring me the receipt and we will cut you a check." Came here to get the check and was told that Loren is "in a meeting" and he will not be out for 3 hours. The men in the service department told me that I will get the check "in the mail in a couple of weeks." I am here to be reimbursed for maintenance negligence. Completely, totally frustrated. I purchased my used vehicle (2008 fully loaded GM/Saturn Aura XR) from Packey Webb Ford on 3/20/12. After having the car for two days (in which both were raining), I noticed my golf clubs were completely wet in the trunk. I was upset and took the car back to Packey Webb to show them how much water leaked in the trunk when water was poured over the back window. I asked about a trade in and was told because water leaks are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty they could not return the vehicle or give me what I paid toward another vehicle. I believe Packey Webb Ford knowingly sold me a vehicle that had been in an unreported accident and/or salvaged or repaired to appear like new. The car was sold to me in pristine condition with no signs of mold or mildew. The interior carpet and trunk lining were both flawlessly new. When I removed part of the trunk lining to pinpoint the leak, and poured a milk gallon jug filled with water over the back window, about a cup of water filtered down into the truck. If this had been going on for the first four years / 39,000 miles the car had been on the road, the trunk lining would not look and smell like new. Right then is when this letter should have been submitted, but Mike in service was kind enough to say he would have the vehicle repaired. During this time I was also dealing with Packey Webb about getting a key fob for the car which was included in the sale but had to be ordered and programmed by a GM service shop. Luckily, I had not traded in my old car because the new one was at the dealership for over a week and a half before the key fob was functional and I was told the leak had been fixed. When I went to pick it up and poured some water on the back window to see for myself if it was repaired, more water than ever poured directly into the trunk. Mike apologized and kept the car a few more days to have the window repair company come out again. Two weeks after purchasing my new car, I returned to pick it up and once again tested the window for the leak. Nothing poured into the trunk this time so I assumed the leak had been fixed. I figured that the squish to the carpet would dry out. It never did. After a month of driving the car, it began to smell of mildew. I removed the back seat to discover that the material underneath was completely soaked, as well as the carpet in the rear floorboards. The car was taken directly to the auto glass shop that Packey uses and had diverted the leak, and this time they actually sealed what was a "frame leak". I have spent the time since this last repair constantly drying what I thought was water remaining from the rear frame leak. As I made my way removing trim and carpeting to dry it out, I noticed my efforts were futile because water is also dripping down from behind the firewall onto the passenger side floor. I again asked Packey Webb for some kind of resolution to what they had to have known something about, this time offered 20% off parts and service. This car leaks like a sieve from more than one location. How could Packey Webb not have known this? After fifty years in business, I believe Packey Webb knows what cars are coming on to the lots. If they were duped into acquiring the car just like I was, that means they have as much car purchasing knowledge as myself (a first time dealership car buyer, ignorant enough to by a used GM car from a Ford dealership in the state of Illinois); or they knowingly sold me a car that has been through a chop shop and presented in pristine condition. Regardless of who knew and who did not, I feel I should be able to have the car repaired free of charge (like I thought it was April). This letter was sent to all Webbs that have an email online.
