I don't know what it is about the Bill Luke dealerships and why they are so slow. This is the second vehicle I've purchased from them and I only come because they have exactly what I want. It takes hours to get the deal done. You just stand around for hours. I did a deal through Larry H Miller end of last year and was in and out in 45 minutes. There are tons of employees just standing around doing nothing but chatting with each other. It seems like there are 2 or 3 people actually working. Also, they hold true to the shady car dealership reputation. When I walked in with everything pre done online I suddenly had to do it all over and the numbers changed drastically. I told them nope and was walking out and then I get the same number as I originally had. I'll be glad when I drive away and won't come back for years and maybe that will be too soon. Do NOT purchase a used vehicle from Bill Luke Santan Used Car Dealership!!!!!!! My husband and I bought a 2019 Grand Dodge Caravan for our daughter, who has a 15 month old and another baby on the way. We wanted to buy them a van, because we knew it was a better and safer vehicle for a small family. We have only had this vehicle for a few months and in that time, the door has broke twice, the air-conditioning went out in the back, there is an oil leak and now the transmission just went out. This car is a total lemon. We unfortunately didn't buy the warranty because we couldn't afford the extra cost. With the car being a 2019 and Bill Luke being, what we thought was a reputable dealer, we didn't think this could happen. And I always felt better about buying from a dealership instead of a 3rd party. I took the van in, and their service department diagnose the vehicle, informing us it needed a new transmission. The cost with the new transmission and oil leak was $7000. So when I contacted them to ask if they could meet us halfway on the new transmission or be willing to do a trade for a different older vehicle with us paying title, taxes etc, they said they would not do either. Since the van has only been ours for a couple months and we put only a few thousand miles on it. I feel, Bill Luke, should have some responsibility in this situation. Even though they are not legally liable, I believe that morally and ethically they have some responsibility. They do not think they do. The manager also informed me that they had to put 4k in to the vehicle just to get it ready to sell. That sounds like they had some knowledge that this vehicle was not a car that should have been sold to a new family. They pride themselves on being a family owned business for generations. But they have left my daughter with no working vehicle. If they could have tried to help in some way, my review today would be totally different. My son just got his license and we will be looking at getting him in to a used vehicle in the next year. We would have gone back to them but now, not only will I never use them, I suggest you don't either. They have no remorse or cares about our situation and if anything goes wrong with your vehicle after just purchasing it from them, you can expect the same treatment. I am a business owner, and I would never treat a client in this way. Even if it meant losing some money. Customer retention and service is not a priority at Bill Luke. They will tell you anything to get you in the door. I had an email thread and a couple of phone calls with their internet sales manager and went over quite a bit of information. The dealership was over an hour away, so I wanted to make sure my time there would be productive. After her telling me "everything looks good" I scheduled a time to drive over. I get there and start working with a sales person. The internet sales manager had left, but she "left my info" there. The sales person had no clue what we had talked about and confirmed that I had been given false information. This dealership is run by people who are just trying to turn and burn their used cars. Their customer service was terrible...they didn't return calls, transferred me to multiple people and had zero sense of urgency. We were literally stranded with no car because our engine blew while on vacation, and I needed to buy a car asap. Then, the worst part... the "certified" car they sold us with 28,000 miles had BRAKE problems. We drove back to Sedona with a car that was wobbling around, making weird noises when braking, and with the steering wheel so loose I felt like I had no control of the car. I was scared and confused what was wrong with the car! I had to take it to a Hyundai dealership in Cottonwood...another trip, and found out they sold this car with warped rotors! We had to pay $600 for new rotors on a car we just spent $35,000 on. They are basically shrugging their shoulders... not my problem. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I came in to get a 2020 Atlas with 10K down. When I test drove and looked over the car and saw the tires were balding and the rotors were BURNT I brought it to the attention of not only the sales employee but the manager and was told that "they pass inspection so they are good to go!" When with your plain eyes you can see the issues. They also proceeded to tell me "if you don't want the car, then don't take the car" I ended up taking the car knowing id have to repair those issues right away but knew I'd bad talk this place as long as I'm in Arizona. Had adequate opportunity to test drive as much as I needed to feel confident and went in to complete the business. Not a lot of back and forth as you would expect at a car dealership. I called prior and talked with Autumn, I asked her if this price is negotiable and she said this is the best online price, so I told her I will be there at 4 pm. When I checked out the car in person, Luis Ruiz informed me that the $21,750 is actually 22,750 if I do not finance through them at 6% with a minimum of 4 payments. On edmunds, and JD power web site, it did not mentioned anywhere that I have to get their financing to buy this car at $21,750. I told them I didn't want to finance through them and that it's misleading customers. Also they were charging me of $359 for a window tint and $500 for documentary fees. The general manager hearing my complaint offered me to meet him half way! Selling price will be $22,250. Guess what? I bought an Alfa Romero Gulia Sport Carbon in sept of 2022. Put 5k down and after signing d9ocs ended up financing $52,000. The car was listed at $42,000 but Natasha pushed the extended warranty very hard...actually just had all the docs lined up with over 8k in extra warranties...she said these alfa's are finicky. Every button is covered, the tires, wheels, everything. After owning the car for roughly a month I got a message saying do not shut the car off do not change gears and the car was running! I was in Salt Lake City at the time so I called the Alfa dealer in Salt Lake City and when the car was towed to them they said that some liquid was spilled into the center console where the gear shifter was and they said it was not covered by manufacturers warranty. It was $2200 to replace...I insisted that I had a complete VIP warranty and after a few days and much effort by the dealership, they said that I did not have an extended warranty for Alfa Romero. I tried to get Natasha on the phone and she would not return calls or emails. It turns out she sold me a MOPAR warranty and it was a dealership product and paid higher commissions. It did me no good. I have canceled the extended warranty and it has been six weeks and Mopar seems completely negligent. I mailed the required docs to Mopar on 8/9. I was told that they didn't receive them until 9/1. and further it would take 8 weeks to process. When it all shakes down although Bill Luke looks shinny and they rest heavily on "family owned" and stellar self proclaimed amazing 5-star reviews they are seedy and slippery and will take advantage! I keep forgetting to write a review! I purchased a used Subaru Forester back in November of 2022. If it wouldn't have been for the urgent need for me to get a car asap, I would have walked away! After my stepdad talked with them about the car I was interested in, having an oil leak, they denied it and cleaned it up and I went through with buying this vehicle. Well fast forward 2 months and the vehicle starts flashing lights and acting weird, so I call Chandler Subaru and scheduled service! I take the vehicle in and after several hours of trying to figure out what's going on, I'm told I possibly need a new engine (and there is an oil leak, but rebuilding the engine will take care of that)! Thankfully, I bought a warranty through Endurance...I did end up needing my engine rebuilt and was without my car for a month! I obviously was flat out lied to about the car having an oil leak, which is not acceptable! I will never purchase a vehicle from Bill Luke San Tan again....I was also lied to by my salesman about issues with my financing, and I flat out told him that's not true! Pros: Great selection of cars Cons: It's just another car dealership. Let me explain. The salesman I worked with was cordial enough, but he was your classic used car salesman. He was really gung ho about one car I was interested in, but when I was thinking about another car, all of a sudden that was the better car for me. The price may have had something to do with it since salesmen are commission-based. Next, the salesman was on his cell phone a lot during my time with him. He also didn't listen to me and was a little aggressive about the test drive. It's sad this dealership doesn't understand sales staff is obsolete and they don't have control over customers anymore. I could tell he was just trying to get the sale, so I humored him. Next, I purchased the car but decided to bring it back the next day only because I slept on it and decided I didn't want it. The main reason why I went ahead to bring it back in was because I could. I didn't actually want it, I was within 120 miles, and 48 hours. It's their policy, not mine. When I brought it back in, they tried everything they could to A. Not listen to me. B. Attack from all angles. C. Try to get me in another car. I repeatedly said no thanks and I am returning it but their response was, "What else can we show you? We can get you into 600 cars." I get it, they're salesmen and need to make a sale. I had a horrific dealer experience at Bill Luke Santan. I advise you to run from this predatory, subprime dealer. I've purchased several cars before. It's without a doubt, one of the worst dealers in Arizona. First off, there's fraud against customers with the mandatory "tint fee" of $359. They charge every customer this fee on every sale. As they told me numerous times, "That's the Bill Luke way." The photos showed the vehicle already had tint in the "precondition" (acquisition) photos. I obtained pictures of this fact. The sales rep and his manager repeatedly denied this and claimed they installed tint. The irony is that I wouldn't mind purchasing premium ceramic tint if they offered it. But, no, they're charging for a nonexistent product. The sales manager argued with me, asserting he has photos of the before/after applying tint but would never produce them. The second issue -- and arguably, the more costly matter -- is the predatory financial terms imposed on customers. They cap the down payment to be 10%, and you must use their financing. This is a harmful financial product, no matter if you have excellent, mediocre, or bad credit. I'm a well-qualified buyer. They proposed a 7.1% APR. I was pre-qualified by my bank for 2.79% APR. The bank would also give me a discount if I purchased using its car buying service. (Spoiler: I eventually bought a car elsewhere and got approved for 2% APR.) The sales rep and the manager argued, explaining how easy refinancing is. They couldn't fathom why the customer would not want to buy into one bad loan to try to flip it into another loan. I'll tell you why: They know a loan with 90% LTV drags your credit down further. When you do a refinance four months later, you won't get a competitive rate. It's predatory. Thus, you retain the subprime loan you already got and move on. Plus, when you refinance, the new lender will compare the loan's cost against the KBB/market value, essentially pushing you into an upside-down deal after you just purchased the vehicle. This set of undisclosed conditions means more for the dealer and more expensive loans for you. The bottom line is you've gotta to do the math. The cost of interest alone would be $3,900+ on a $20,000 vehicle. Any reputable lender should get you close to market rate--not double it. Bill Luke's "$1000 discount" isn't worth it. The third issue is the sheer arrogance demonstrated by the sales management team. When we discussed these terms, they countered with "That's the process here at Bill Luke," in a rehearsed script. A day after my wife wrote a review on Google about Bill Luke, I received a phone call from a sales manager, Brian. His job is to argue with customers and coerce them to take down their reviews. In the recorded 45-minute phone call, he affirmed that the dealership stands behind its disclaimer, failing to disclose the untenable financial terms. He made it quite clear that the process to refinance a high-interest loan four months later is recommended, so the dealership collects their kickback from the lender. The disappointing part is we were interested in the vehicle, but they want to trash your credit and waste your time to get it. The Bill Luke team lost a fast sale over stealing $359 and making a few bucks on the interest. This is why CarMax and Carvana are fast becoming the norm. People don't tolerate this deception and fraud -- and neither should you. read more

Let me give you details about my experience I go in to dealer ship Bill Luke santan with a trade in I go through a 2 hour process and agreed and sign contract And I was out the door. 1 week later I get a call that loan has not been approved because of income verification So I immediately I start forwarding more information to help the process. They call me again they got a bank that approved me but I needed to put a down payment of 6,200. Deep inside I was like I should just cancel this and go on to another thing. The assistant manager gave me the pitch I personally called the bank this is it and assure me everything was good and legit with all the information that I provided just needed to pay down payment and sign new contract. So I go in again to sign a new contract and and pay the money they wanted me to pay. After I signed the contract again I went and spoke to management about not feeling comfortable with the situation especially on how finance made me feel " I stated can I just leave the car here cause I don't want to leave with a vehicle if this ain't a for sure thing they assure me everything is done and enjoy your car. "2 weeks later! I get a call we need more information from you .I stated I have the same information I provided since first day you let me walk out with 100k vehicle.Im a team player I so I send it over.Then the new finance person Tex me we couldn't come to and agreement you need to bring vehicle back and pick up your trade in I'm like mam they assure me this new vehicle was mines and you have my old vehicle witch a payment was do 2 weeks ago now is going to show on my credit that I was late on payment for your mistake. It's safe to say that I won't buy another vehicle from Bill Luke and I certainly will not recommend them to anyone as well. They had a car that I've been looking for and the test drive was to my satisfaction. I'm not a mechanic, but from what I could tell, the car was in good shape. After a discussion with my wife, I decided to purchase the car. The salesman, Brian, was very nice and professional. I was, however, starting to get annoyed with them stating over and over again that I shouldn't pay off the car until after I've made at least 4 payments. Why? Because that's money out of their pocket. After the purchase, I took the car to my trusted mechanic for an inspection. After the inspection, it was determined that the engine mounts were bad and the front control arm bushings needed to be replaced. How did the service department miss this? It makes me wonder how safe/thorough their vehicle inspections are. Bill Luke reached out to me wanting to follow up on post-purchase satisfaction. I explained to them that I found a number of issues with the vehicle. The sales manager said that he would have their service department contact me to make an appointment to address my concerns. A week later, I finally got a call. I explained the issues and I was told that they would be willing to waive the $115 inspection fee, but I'd have to pay for any work that needed to be done. I agreed and scheduled an appointment. After some thought, I decided to cancel the appointment since I already had a quote from my mechanic and my trust in Bill Luke just wasn't there. To add insult to injury, I just recently discovered that the tires on the vehicle were two different sizes. Being that the car is an AWD vehicle, this is a serious issue. In the long run, I didn't save much money at Bill Luke because of the issues that should have been addressed pre-sale. I've gathered that they don't stand behind their name, so my advice is for you to purchase your vehicle elsewhere. Update - 11/13/2020 I'm going to revise my review since the Sales Manager reached out to me to learn more about my experience. He listened and understood my frustration and explained their processes and policies. In fact, there was a policy implemented only days after I purchased my car regarding tires on an AWD vehicle. Brian Slack did what he could to make me happy. I'm not going to say that I'm 100% happy with my whole experience with Bill Luke, but I will admit that they stepped up and did what they could to make things right. We had an appointment scheduled this morning to test drive and buy a 2023 Kia EV6 Wind; we are located 2 hours away and found out about this car through CarFax; we were dealing with one of the internet sales team, who sent us a form which we filled out and got the credit approved, and then they sent us an estimate of what the payments would be after the large (18K) deposit we were putting down. While a $1500 refundable deposit was mentioned, no attempt was made to collect such, and, as we had spoken to the internet sales associate and scheduled an appointment less than 48 hours later, my assumption was that we would test drive the car, and assuming we liked it, give them the full 18K and sign some forms and be out the door. We got in the car and luckily I was showing my wife the message I got from the person who was interested in buying our old car, so I saw the message that came in 2 hours before our appointment telling us they sold the car out from under us. I called, texted, and emailed the sales person multiple times and she never contacted me, even to just apologize. I was not once asked to come down and take a look at the car, nor did they get the ball rolling. Communication was poor, pretty much nonexistent unless I reached out to them. When I reached out to check where we were in the process, they told me the car was sold. They didn't care about my concern, I was essentially blown off. A hard pull on my credit was done for basically nothing. The person I received a text from said he would forward my issue to his director and of course, I've heard nothing. Glad these idiots did not get a dime from me. Extremely extremely poor service - the worst I've ever encountered at a dealership , and awful business etiquette. Don't buy from this dealership, they are super shady. I recently purchased a vehicle here, but was never told there would be a 10 business day hold on out of state federal credit union check. In addition, they could not get our information correct on the purchase order contract. From having the wrong social security number, wrong driver's license number and not showing the down payment on the contract, it took them 4 times to get the right information sent to my financing bank. I had down my application previously for one car and he was there to convince me I didn't know what I wanted or why I was doing!! He found the car online and asked me for my opinion of the car and dealer. I gladly did that. My wife and I met with Brian Whitaker to see the car. It was in the service area and dirty, having not been serviced since received on trade. They showed it to us anyway and we appreciated it. The car has over 26,000 miles on it after only one year. That greatly affects any car's value, but it was in very good condition and still in factory warranty. I inspected well and had a couple of minor negative comments to Carl on the phone. There was no window price on the car. The dealer web site had it at 35,250 if financed there, 36,250 if not. That was interesting. Carl and his wife Sherry and I discussed the car and deal. He decided to make an offer the next day. The quote from Brian was the original 35,250 or 36,250 if not financed there. They added about $2,000 of add-ons to both quotes. Carl made a very reasonable offer and Brian sent it to his manager. Carl subsequently got a phone call from a sales manager Daniel. He raised the price to $40,000 saying there's a lot of interest in the vehicle and if he wanted it he needed to make a move now. He also added that they have a "no haggle" price policy. $40,000 is about what that car sold for new a year ago with "0" miles on it. Carl is walking away from that ripoff. I'm embarrassed and angry that I put my friend through this. I should have checked Yelp before and would have discovered how these people operate. WORST dealership I've ever dealt with. I bought a used 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk with 50,000 miles on it back in December. Worked great for a couple weeks and it started having major electrical and mechanical issues. I've had it for 8 months and I've brought it into the shop for a total of 7 times putting me several weeks without a car. It's a TRUE lemon and was never truly fixed. Lol The next day, the car I was interested in whet down $250 in price. So you telling me you couldn't even do that for me in person but you'll lower the price the second I leave huh? I must say, I was a little reluctant to visit Bill Luke Santan after reading some of the reviews, so all I intended to do was use my visit as a test-drive opportunity to see if I really liked that make and model of car for future reference. But the car was better than I expected, and our salesperson Natalie was an absolute gem. She was very knowledgeable about the car and about cars in general, and pleasantly forthright about how the sales experience there would be different from the typical one. Her sales manager (I'm sorry but I forget his name) was super helpful, and the Finance experience was streamlined and not pushy like my prior experiences elsewhere. The car was very well represented, and I got a very fair trade-in value for the car I drove there. I did not go there with the intent of leaving my car and coming home with a different one, but here I am. This past December 2023, My wife and I were in the market to purchase a new or gently used (less than 2 years old) VW Tiguan. After searching for several months we found a 2023 Tiguan SE with only 5K miles on it at Bill Luke. The service from the internet managers was top notch from the very first phone call. Knowing that the drive would be 16.5 hrs & 1,048 miles we expected nothing less, but absolute transparency from our Sales Professional. That's where Erik Endecott came into play. Erik was extremely personable throughout the whole process. As soon as, my wife and I decided we wanted the car he assisted us in putting down the retainer fee, which held the car for us for 72hrs. Remember we drove 16 hours from Texas to pick up our car, but with Erik's professional and complete transparency we did not worry one bit if the car we were going to get was the same car we saw online. Erik was so kind to take tons of videos and pictures of any and all angles of the car. Erik was so kind to check in on us to and from the dealership over our three road trip, he even suggested some great restaurants to eat at once we got there. When you come see Erik Endecott at Bill Luke, you have to check out Oregano's Italian restaurant, their 1lb Italian meat sandwich will not disappoint. I cannot say it enough, how appreciative I am of Erik Endecott for being completely transparent and disclosing the complete "Out-the-Door- Price" which included the price of the car, taxes, all fees, registration, and window tint.
