This is some of the worst food I have ever over-paid for! The mozzarella sticks and french fries are from frozen, not made from scratch in the kitchen. The ribs were TOUGH and DRY which tells me they were cooked on too HIGH of a temperature for a short time instead of "low and slow". They were so tough and difficult to eat that 50% of the meat went into the trash can. The BBQ sauce was bland. The coleslaw was pre-made from a store and tasted nasty (too much vinegar and too much dressing too). I will never eat here again, not even with another free-coupon. I highly recommend no one eats here! After knowing the quality of the food is low-priority, I question the cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep too, as the food came out quickly too! read more

I was looking forward to getting some good BBQ here in Elkhart. Unfortunately, though, this was just OK. My wife and I got the rib tip basket and a corndog basket, both with mac n' cheese as the side. The rib tips were a little dry, and not really all that flavorful. They were just alright. The mac was decent, but to me could be improved with a little sumpin' sumpin', bacon or pulled pork or something. The corndog? That was actually fantastic. It was a nice meaty dog with just the right amount of cornbread on it, fried just right. I'd definitely go back for another corndog. read more

It smelled amazing when I walked in to order. The rib tip dinner with 2 sides was great. I live on the west side of South Bend and usually try to get Frankie's. Totally honest, Bill's tip dinner was better. Great sauce and the rib tips were tender and cooked to perfection. Sometimes you get a rib dinner where the meat is charred. Not at Bill's. Finally was able to try this place after waiting for the building to be ready....and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Whiting with fries and mac & cheese while my fiancé had the Tips/B_B_Q chicken combo with cornbread and baked beans. The mac & cheese is made with bacon, which I don't eat, but my son loved it! The fish was crispy and moist and had a really nice flavor. My fiancé really enjoyed his meal and was nice enough to share his cornbread muffin, which was amazing!!! I highly recommend giving this place a try! We can't wait to go back. read more

Best barbecue in Elkhart. Just the right flavor and juiciness. We've returned to Indiana from Texas. I think their beef brisket would give Texas a run for their money. Bill's barbecue pulled pork looked great, but instead this time just felt like getting the beef brisket and ribs. Next time I intend to order some pulled pork. Our son loved the ribs he got. I've been meaning to try it for a while. With bbq usually love It or hate it. If I love it, it is usually homemade. I could be mistaken, as I'm not an expert on bbq but it's either homemade or they've found a really good store bought brand. I would give five stars but there were two disappointments... first for the prices I thought it was more like a restaurant, bu they put it in to go boxes even if you eat there. I could forgive that and still give five, but a small thing can make it or not. For the bread they just got cheap white bread slices from the store. Even if they bought the Hawaiian sweet rolls would be better. Don't get me wrong the meat and sauce were great and that is why I give four stars. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. I got the rib tips dinner and 2 sides for $9.99. The rib tips were fantastic. They had a great smoke flavor and the meat easily pulled apart. I wish I would of taken a picture of the poor excuse for a rib dinner. THe baked beans were just a can of baked beans tasteless,the french fries were nothing but hard little fries that were rewarmed by refrying them into oblivian. the so called ribs were over cooked the outside dry and crispy like eating rib jerky and the meat was so mealy . If you're looking for good BBQ, this IS the place. While traveling, I stopped in for dinner and had the 1 lb. Rib Tip dinner with Potato Salad and Sweet Corn. Don't worry, if those aren't your thing they have plenty of different side dishes. The rib tips were excellent and the BBQ sauce was just right... not too tangy, not too spicy, and not too sweet. I keep forgetting how good the food is here, then go eat somewhere else, then smack myself on the head and remind myself that if I'm eating in Elkhart, I should eat here. The meat is all smoked to perfection and tender and of high quality. I've been to places where you can tell they bought cheap ribs, but this place uses the more expensive kind. It was my first time today after work. I saw the commercial and I wanted to see how it rivaled Frankies bbq in South Bend. They were nice enough to let me sample the brisket and it was very moist. I decided to get the half brisket and half tip sides mac cheese and green beans. I get nervous with sides but the mac was very flavorful and southern style and not bland. The same with the green beans. I will say it's definitely worth the pick up. I wish it was a little bit cheaper I paid with tax about 16.00 but they were really nice and a nice splurge.
