This is their fish taco. So plain and bad.

Sadly I would not order from here again. We have had breakfast at the hotel twice at Canyon Café and it was great. We had dinner at the Flying V and again that was great. However our pool lunch was not. I understand it was a busy day which is why after waiting 15 minutes for someone to come by and take an order I decided to go up to the bar myself to order. However my tacos were VERY disappointing. They were extremely plain and the fish smelled and tasted fishy so after one bite I was done and my husband threw it away because the smell was so bad. Tacos should not be hard to screw up.

The service was good but the food quality was disappointing. Some of the fries were cold. The plates had food particles on it.

And while not pretentious it's hip and relaxed while being a place you want to dress up to go to. Every one of your senses will be delighted. The view, the smells, the food, the service, the hotel costes vibe lounge music playing in the backdrop to perfectly pair in creating a contemporary ambiance complimenting the whole environment. Great job. In a few weeks I've been 3 times. I've tried the caviar cones that are a burst and mirage of flavors that left me wanting to order a dozen. Delicious. The guacamole experience at first glance I had written off, but friends decided to order and I'm so glad they did. Delicious!!! The Chicharron and Tostones were out of this world in flavor definitely worth it. The Fig drink is amazing. The sunset vodka drink with ginger OMG! The Mandavi red is amazing, the port is delicious for an after dinner cap off as is the espresso martini. I love all their glassware and tableware. They use the right glasses for the right things. Service is attentive, they're around, but they're not pushing you to be out the door -which I love. Definitely more of an Italy dining experience where they want you to sit back and relax and take your time. I love that. Especially because the place is so beautiful. You don't wanna leave and the chairs are so comfortable that you don't want to get up. Back to the food, got the special which was pork with a cherry glaze and goat cheese, drizzle. To die for perfectly accompanied with the artichoke. The ahi tuna dinner entree was cooked perfectly and a beautiful presentation. The steak was perfectly cooked. Wasn't a big fan of the Potatoes au gratin but it presented beautifully- I'm just more of a classic when it comes to that dish and they had a unique take on it. The crème brûlée was good. I feel like it's a staple that you can't really make any more exceptional than a good crème brûlée is. The surprise was the brownie, which I would not have ordered but friends wanted to so I tried it. it was amazing. I love the presentation of how they serve it and the taste was absolutely unique perfection! They made something taste exceptionally different, even though it seems like it would be your usual brownie à la mode. It's got a unique flavor that I have a hard time describing besides I recommend you try it because it's absolutely delicious. I've decided that I will have to try everything on the menu at least once. Because some of the things that I immediately wrote off with the things that I love the most. So now I'm curious to try all of their menu items. They do have a way of making dishes very unique and all their own based on how they serve it or the way they have prepare it. The lighting and ambience is like no other restaurant in Tucson. This place is an event. Breathtaking in every regard. Sat outside all 3 times. Twice at tables and once at the sofa overlooking the 18th hole. Arrived between 630-730 all 3 times and was totally comfortable. I love Tucson's weather and sunsets and wore my sunglasses for 30 minutes one of the evenings while watching the sun set. I was unbothered by the Tucson heat- but this is one of the things I love most about living here. The misters with fans above the tables do a nice job of keeping it cool without you getting damp. If you're concerned for the heat, that's a good outdoor spot to sit. I'll have to try sitting indoors at some point but honestly, I prefer outside and away from A/C. Exceptional experience all the way around!

From the updated atmosphere to the excellent service, everything exceeded our expectations. Our waitress, Alexis, was especially wonderful. She is so friendly, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful throughout the evening. She helped with our wine selection and made sure every part of our experience was enjoyable. Her service truly stood out and made our night even better. The atmosphere was beautiful as well, with great lighting with a warm, inviting feel. We also had a brief conversation with Aidan, one of the busboys, and he was just as friendly and hardworking. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend this restaurant. Try to get Alexis as your server!

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered! If Tito & Pep has been on your list do not hesitate any longer. I very much regret not coming here sooner and I highly recommend giving it a try!

The first thing I need to own is that it's a shame I hadn't visited here before. We arrived at 5:30p and both the bar and patio areas were packed - standing room only, and no wonder. They have one of the better happy hours (daily! 3:00 - 6:30p) - able to accommodate both the slacker and the over-timer Lol. Basic drinks are all discounted such as house wines, well drinks, and beers. Their bottled wines and craft cocktails are all exempt though. Many of their appetizers are also discounted and some quite substantially. We grabbed a glass of the house cabernet ($6, normally $8) and the grilled shrimp wrapped in jalapeno bacon ($13, normally $20). NOTE: happy hour pricing is Only available if you order/consume at the bar or on the patio and that's clear in advance, and understandable. The dining areas were only half full at this early point (but filled up by 6:30) and the host kindly encouraged us to enjoy our starters at the bar as she would hold our table. We were then sat near the "back" of this long venue and frankly, aside from the lone windowed table at the very front, this would be my preferred seating - cozy, intimate, with only five other tables around us. For dinner drinks she got an Italian Nebbiolo Bricco Magno Red Blend ($13/glass, reliably terrific/mellow) and I got the Chupacabra ($15) Mezcal/prickly pear cocktail, strong and excellent as well. We got an additional appetizer: the roasted bone marrow ($19). I had never had marrow before but she raved about how good this can be if done properly (bonus, it is super healthy). Folks, a picture/worth a 1000... suffice to say this was simply outstanding! We both had long work weeks and were craving meat - just a damn good steak. Our waiter, without blinking recommended the 8oz bison filet mignon ($65) as his absolute menu fav, and then the day's special: 14oz ribeye ($50). We ordered each. All dinners come with two sides and we each got the day's special: roasted half artichoke and she got the loaded baked potato while I got the mashed potatoes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later at good temperature (warm/rested with a strong char) with each being accurately grilled (medium and medium-rare). Taste was outstanding. Neither one of us had bison filet before and marveled how it (subtly) added a "wild" edge to an always outstanding, lean-but-tender, cut of beef. The loaded baked was terrific, however, the mashed was the only disappointment... a plainer mash one could not make themselves - pure white and borderline dry, no milk, butter, egg, gravy(?), nothing to make it creamy or add any flavor dimension - a surprise frankly. The only other "critique" is that the dessert menu could add some kind of dark/chocolate concoction. All in all, though, we loved our experience and have decided to add this to our periodic special dinners rotation! Staff was outstanding - just the proper balance of attentive and quiet - and waters never went below half empty. Parking is free and plentiful, especially behind the restaurant (and yes, if you continue on around the back there is another long entrance/exit driveway that comes out the other side of Jimmy John's and Noodleholics.

I understand the head chef has a French influence, but frankly it overwhelms the food and takes away from the freshness. I had the snapper since they didn't have the halibut. It seemed over cooked and then drenched in sauce with greens on top, also drenched in sauce. The saddest part was they sat us in the back room. Where they seemed to sit everyone coming into the restaurant. If the restaurant was packed I would understand but every other room was empty. Who wants to sit along the pathway to the bathroom? Service was so/so. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. But frankly the quality of the food was not worth the cost. Definitely will not be returning, until they revamp the menu to include less French style and more uniquely inspired fresh food. I mean if we wanted French we would have gone to Le Rendezvous or Wild Garlic which are top notch.

It may have been seared in something like chimichurri, but whatever was on it completely overpowered the tuna. Instead of highlighting the fish, it dominated every bite. It honestly could have used some kind of palate cleanser alongside it. For mains, we ordered three different steaks, and surprisingly, all of them lacked flavor. That was the biggest letdown, especially after such a heavily seasoned appetizer. You expect a steakhouse to get that part right. The lobster was just okay. Nothing offensive, but nothing memorable either. Overall, the meal felt unbalanced. Either over-seasoned or under-seasoned, with nothing really standing out in a good way. Wouldn't recommend based this experience.
