I could have bought this at the grocery store as uncooked bread.

Worst pizza I've ever had and no way it was fired. Worse than dominos - complete trash and a disgrace. Felt like ghost kitchen

This GF pizza wasn't just good for gluten free, it was good for any pizza! I would not have been able to tell if I hadn't had my family's orders to compare to! All my fellow gluten free people, find the closest location and enjoy pizza for the first time. The dough is soft, it folds, it has flavor! And for a 12" Donna's combo pizza, it was $17.50. My family had the regular pizza and when they tried the GF crust, they said they couldn't really tell a difference! They have strict GF protocols so allow a little extra time for your order. I haven't had pizza this good since Jimmy's Pizza before I had to give up gluten.

Pizza was great, definitely one of the better ones in the Chicago area. Clean interior, easy to order. Nice touch having ice cream there available to order from the counter

This was so much fun to come by. I ordered two pizzas and we got ice cream. We did things a little backwards because we ordered pizza at the counter and while we waited we bought ice cream. So dessert came first this time around. lol all of the staff in the restaurant were helpful, they explained the menu, and they let you sample the ice cream before committing to a flavor. The ice cream was creamy and tasty. The pizza was everything! I loved the cheese pizza. The second pizza was a little too charred for my liking, but my husband didn't mind it, he thought it added my flavor to it. This is such a cool find with out side seating. I can see why this place would be so popular in the warm months. I can't wait to go back.

The food is OK. Pizza is rubbery because it's GF, Service is fine, take out so no atmosphere :D

Stepping into Billy Bricks, the air is immediately filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked pizza. Greeted by very friendly staff! The cozy ambiance with its rustic wooden decor and metal accents invites guests to unwind and indulge. The menu boasts a variety of pizzas, from classic Margherita to gourmet options laden options, all crafted with care using their signature thin crust. The kitchen is visible through an open window, as chefs skillfully toss dough and sprinkle toppings with precision. I ordered the simple Margherita pizza each bite was a delightful symphony of flavors, blending tangy tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and perfectly crisped dough. After pizza I ordered a brownie sundae, it was delicious, served in a mini cast iron skillet. With attentive service and a warm atmosphere that feels like home, Billy Bricks leaves you with not just a full stomach, but also a sense of contentment and anticipation for their next visit!! Highly recommend

It was such a thoughtful touch that made our celebration feel extra special. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful with such a romantic atmosphere. It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Our server, Nathan, was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which really showed how much they care about their guests. I've dined at much more expensive restaurants before, and I've honestly never experienced this level of hospitality. The food was incredible 10/10! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The portions were generous, and I couldn't even finish my meal because there was so much delicious food. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the outstanding service to the beautiful ambiance and amazing food, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you to Nathan and the entire team for making our anniversary so memorable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

We came for an evening with friends and decided to take advantage of the Sunday "per la famiglia…read more(serves four)" special when we saw the menu. What looked like a generous offer of comfort food at a reasonable price, at a lovely Italian restaurant, was actually a gimmick worthy of Ebenezer Scrooge. Dinner started with a tasty chopped salad that would have been a reasonable entree for one or enough to share as an appetizer for two. It was a large spoonful each for four. The four garlic knots that accompanied the salad were each about 2x2x2 inches, and when we asked for a refill of both the salad and bread we were told "that's all you get." The spaghetti came with 2 meatballs in a portion size that looked like it was enough for an entree for only 1 person. We waited a moment and when no more came realized we were screwed. Later, seeing our disappointment, the waiter was kind enough to secretly get 2 more meatballs out of the kitchen for us to pretend there were portions for each person at the table. Had they been serving Italian tapas, maybe we could have pretended it was a fair approach. The 16 inch cheese pizza was good but nothing special and the tiramisu provided 4 small pieces a little larger than the garlic knots mentioned earlier when cut into squares. I don't know what kind of "famiglia" Salvatore "Sal" Lo Cascio, the culinary director at Ballyhoo Hospitality, or Ryan O'Donnell, the CEO, have; but they probably don't eat very much. Perhaps they expect the famiglia of their guests to be a single parent with young children or a group of little persons. In short, the food tasted good, the dining room was lovely, the service was outstanding, and the portions and prices were a complete rip-off to the point that the place should be put out of business. With two iced teas, a glass of house wine, tax and a generous tip the bill came to well over $100 and this morning when checking the receipt for this review I found out that they charged us $8.00 for the extra meatballs which the waiter pretended were a secret, complimentary addition. Not very nice!

Man, am I glad we got the flyer, because they have since become one of our local favorites! For the longest time, Lou Malnati's was our favorite Chicago style deep dish pizza, but Cansino's is now #1 in town for us. Their cheese blend is soooo creamy, stretchy, and delicious! It's apparently their own in-house blend of California cheeses, and it reminds us of the tasty Wisconsin brick that's popular in Detroit style (possibly a little creamier but less salty). Their tomato sauce is super savory, with a rich herb blend and not too sweet or tart - it's so satisfying! The crust is firm and delicious, and their sausage is leaner than Lou's while having a stronger fennel essence. We still love other Chicago style deep dish pizzas, but Cansino's will be the first on our list when we get a craving. We love onion rings in principle, but are a little particular about how we enjoy them. Cansino's onion rings are excellent - crispy seasoned breading and supple onion slices that are cooked juuuust right. Their fries are also really tasty, and we loved their fried mushrooms. I've tried two of their Mexican style tortas, which were also very good (I loved the fajita style veggies and beans, and the seasoned beef was pretty good). The steak and veggies were excellent, and their bread was pretty good. Next time, I REALLY wanna try their paninos. Their staff is super-friendly, giving us great suggestions of new things to try. The restaurant is always clean and well lit. Prices are fair for the neighborhood. Their preparation times are reasonable, and everything we've ordered was ready on time. There's plenty of parking right in front of the shop, and their front entrance is easily accessible. They're right across the street from the Fort Sheridan Metra Station, so I recommend trying them out if that's your stop. They also have some breakfast items, so it might be a good treat before your morning commute. We're definitely going to be trying more of Cansino's menu, and we'll be sure to add more photos and updates.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. We tried the cheesy garlic bread on their fresh house made focaccia, the rigatoni vodka, the jalapeño pineapple pizza on the Roma crust, and the veggie pizza on the pan crust. The fresh focaccia was easily the star of the meal and made both the garlic bread and the Roma crust pizza so good. The rigatoni vodka was also a standout with a rich, flavorful sauce that I'd happily order again. The pan crust wasn't my favorite, but everything else was fresh, delicious, and made with quality ingredients.
