    French onion soup
    Trevor M.

We really had a great time with our server and staff. I will not deduct a star for being sit in the dark section by the unstaffed bar and the warmer upstairs because we had our 1 year old with us. We respect our privacy and comfort of other guests matter too. Terry was a wonderful server who was knowledgeable about the whole menu we left thinking he was probably in business with the owners, is the owner, or something like that. I ordered the French onion soup and a meat pie. I don't think you can find a better French onion soup then what they have here. I still can remember the taste weeks later. Deep savory flavors of broth and carmalied red onion. With some bread pieces soaked in and topped with the glorious cheese. The meat pasty was also very good, although the dough felt like it could've been a bit more done on the inside, but that might have been because the insides turned it soft. What do I know. All I know it was delicious and I want everyone to come here for French onion soup. The staff are all so pilot and the hostess are really tentative which to me is a little thing that shows how well the ship is run there.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not my first time at Frisco, but my first time enjoying their patio! There is so much indoor and outdoor space, I truly had no idea how large the space is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of the patio is so nice, enough landscaping to help you forget you're right next to a parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are incredibly attentive, between servers checking in and bussers retrieving anything empty, there is always someone around to help if needed. We went on a Sunday night - it wasn't too crowded and easy to walk in and immediately be seated. I had an espresso martini - it was surprisingly sweet, no complaints. For food, we had burger and beet salad. The mustard relish that comes with the burger was delish! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great spot for a casual night with friends or a date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Such a cozy spot in Webster Groves. I can't recall if they have a parking lot, but I parked on the street. I decided to stop by and see my friends's band perform. I ordered the smoked white fish appetizer that was incredibly delicious! I was really pleased to see such a large selection of vegetarian choices. Service was really good. They have a heated patio for cooler night. I definitely want to revisit when I have time for a leisurely dinner.

Great menu, fun place with some unique menu items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in you are met with an atmosphere of fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hostess were quick to greet. Bartenders were busy and made good cocktails while waiting for the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside seating, outside seating and deck seating to match your desire and weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The perigee was really good and surprised me as it was different from my aunts Ukrainian dumplings. Beet salad was excellent as was the fish and chips. A definite must-return to place.

Came here with my family on a Sunday night and had no wait for a patio table. Super great patio. Service was pretty quick and our server was super helpful. We got poutine for a starter and it was delicious. My sister got the spicy margarita and it was super spicy in my opinion but she loved it! I got the autumn margarita and it was good! I got the arugula salad and it was such a big salad and delicious. Cute place!

Spent a very cute half birthday / birthday dinner here! The atmosphere is a mix, it's in Webster which has both an older and younger vibe The two top table was a little small for having plates and sharing foods but the service was great and food was very good We started with the trout dip which i LOVED. Warm and with crackers. Plenty to share between two people. Then, we had their classic potato pierogi and their mushroom pierogi! It was my first time having them and they were really good! I'm definitely a crunchy outside kinda person but they were cooked really well and had delicious flavors. My birthday babe had a piece of key lime pie (she gave it a solid 7.5/10), also my first time having them- not my favorite but nothing wrong with it for people who like pie! Overall it was a lovely dinner, I'll have to try more next time!

We couldn't figure out why there was a draft as we were sitting in a booth in the bar area. Finally realized there was a back door that kept opening. Good thing I ordered the hearty bowl of clam chowder soup and the small house salad. Plenty of food for my dinner.

This is the perfect cozy place to go, especially in the winter, but they also have a beautiful patio for the summer. They are right next to a coffee shop, which is really great and there's a large parking lot in the back. Food is phenomenal especially the French onion soup and the service is great.

Great food and one of the best year round patios! Fans in the summer and heaters and fireplace in the Fall. I love the whitefish dip. They do get crowded on usually busy nights but the service is quick and attentive. Will definitely return.

    SALSICCIA
    Kara B.

Went midday Sunday, wasn't very busy. Able to get a seat right away. Short staffed on servers because it took forever to get a server to our table our entire stay. I ordered the salsiccia. They forgot the grout mustard. I had eaten all my fries before I could get a server over to get me what was supposed to be delivered with the meal. Had a glass of red wine that tasted like the bottle was stale and had been popped open awhile. Very disappointing.

We were greeted immediately by the host and it was lovely weather outside so requested to sit on the roof top. What an excellent choice! Andrea was our server and she did a great job! She kept attention to our beverages and checked in on how we were feeling about our selections. The Soo and pierogi were both delicious! I don't think I'll order the poutine again. The combination of meat, cheese and gravy complimented well with the mustard yet it was just too many fries in my opinion.

Yes...u can easily find it on their website. Not extensive but enough to satisfy.

The dough is made from wheat flour. The filling is potato or a mixture of potato and other ingredients. That's how I make them.

Ryan, yes it can get a little loud in there, but the owners took steps to have sound engineers help with absorbing the sound in the building. (its the shape of the building, like old row houses in the city with tall ceilings and narrow walls, this…

I stopped by on a Sunday just before a rush, so I was able to get my food ordered and made promptly. I just had the spicy chicken katsu sandwich and fries, which was very good. I do want to eventually come by and try one of their desserts, but I was absolutely stuffed after my food, so I did not indulge this time. I was greeted promptly and then the cashier helped me select some items since it was my first time here. Went with the egg salad sando and togarashi fries and a pork tonkatsu sando with sweet curry fries. They both came with a curry dip. Togarashi is the clear winner, even for a curry fan like me. The decor is so cute, with murals and a variety of seating. There are cards and games in one corner. Note: this is NOT fast food. Ingredients are prepped, but the time it takes to fry a pork tonkatsu is the time it takes. There were only half a dozen people in front of me, but there was a bit of a wait. I'd love to come back and try the taiyaki and fruit sandos. I'll be enjoying my leftovers for the next couple of days. The egg salad sando seems very pricy, volume-wise compared to the pork.

Don't forget to look in the cold cases for any number of items from eggs, bone broth, their delicious frozen biscuits, and many other items. Lots to choose from. I don't usually stray from my usual order of seasonal hash but I was eyeing a couple of new items I hadn't seen on the brunch menu before. A breakfast sandwich and hash browns. I was going back and forth and one of the employees encouraged me to go with something different. I asked if I could get it on a biscuit and would be sold. They checked and said yes, I was excited because I LOVE the biscuit. I decided to try the hash browns, too. You take a number and pick your seat, counter with stools line the windows to the outside as well as section that looks into the butcher cutting area. Food came out quickly and was thrilled at the hash browns, they looked so good. Shredded potatoes fried crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside - very good and I would definitely order them again. I am usually very picky about cheese, but I love pimento and the biscuit sandwich was amazing. So it came out as a split biscuit with the house ham and pimento spread, pepper jelly, arugula, heirloom tomato, and a fried egg. I cut the egg in half so I could take half home but it turned out to be nonsense as I couldn't stop eating the sandwich and finished the whole thing! I stopped in to pick up a pork loin because I was around the corner, looking for ~3-4lbs of meat. They only had a 1 1/2 pound in the case (order taker weighed it to confirm before going to the back, which should've been my first warning) so I asked if they had any larger ones. They were nice enough to check and offer to cut one. That's where things went downhill. After waiting 5 or 10 minutes, my order taker came back out to ask how I wanted it prepped (bone or boneless, skin on or off). I said skin off and ambivalent on the bones. This was my mistake, leaving my fate to the hands of someone profit motivated. I walked out with just about a 3 pound bone in roast, which is maybe half a pound more meat than the one and a half pound I turned down - not enough for my guests and I. Had I gotten a roast closer to 4lbs, I would've been unhappy with the price but not enough to write a review. Additionally, they only charged a dollar less for bone in. At $15/lb, I effectively paid the price of their beef for the meat after accounting for the bone. I felt tricked. In hindsight, I should've just turned it down when I saw the price, but I was a bit too shocked to say anything. So I paid my bill and swore that I wouldn't be coming back for anything but (maybe) sausage or a snack again.

Eventually, I'd run out of money and be forced to live out of doors, perhaps in a tent in the park across the street. It would almost be worth it. Kentzo Koffee is not without its flaws, but it's a good place to have a coffee ("koffee") and a light breakfast. It's not clear to me how long it's been around, but it's possible they have a few issues that just need ironing out. A guy from my running group who lives nearby was running down the litany of businesses that have been in this space. Is this location cursed? Was a Native American killed there? This is no fault of Kentzo, but there was some confusion as to whether the breakfast bowl comes with eggs. I could have sworn that it doesn't and that the menu made this clear, but a few members of my group, who are girls with whom I'm not inclined to outwardly disagree, insisted that it does. It seems like it should anyway, right? What's a breakfast bowl without eggs? You could just as easily have such a bowl for lunch. That's unacceptable. This place had umpteen baristas, including one dressed like she was working for tips in a place frequented by bikers (she looked amazing), but they were barely keeping up with orders. This was fine with me. I didn't have anywhere to be, and my drink--an iced vanilla latte, natch--was good when it finally came out. But this is not the kind of place to stop and grab a quick drink on your way to work. There was only one guy making food, as far as I can tell, and he was on it. He made my Breakfast Bowl w/ Bacon and brought it out before I got my drink. He warned me that the bowl was hot, but he was holding it with his bare hand. He must think that I'm actually *from* Maplewood. I had to have the girl who handed me my drink fetch my cinnamon roll. Were they supposed to hand it to me when I ordered? Were they hoping I'd just forget? The cinnamon roll was cold, like maybe it sat in a refrigerator overnight. It occurred to me that it almost certainly wasn't made that day, but it didn't seem particularly stale or prepackaged. It cost more than I paid for most meals in the pre-Brandon era, and it occurred to me that they could just give you a bit less, not charge as much, and I'd be fine with that. Did I devour the whole thing in a few bites anyway, like I just got out of jail? Yes. Yes, I did.
