We were headed to a festival down the street and looking for a Happy Hour to catch before. I saw Frisco had one, and after some recommendations from a friend, we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Their Happy Hour is awesome. The service was a little spotty, but overall the experience was great. Their spritzers are a fantastic price and SO GOOD. Just writing about them make sme want to go grab one! We only split the buffalo cauliflower, but that was BOMB. I loved fried cauliflower and my husband usually doesn't go for it, even he was a huge fan. The beer batter was so tasty, and it was cooked crispy to perfection. And the food came out so quick! I hear mixed reviews on this spot - that the food is good but not great, and not worth the cost. We tried to come back another time for Happy Hour but it was packed so we couldn't get in. We'll definitely be back for more Happy Hours, and will most likely eat dinner here to try that out because the menu looks awesome. We really had a great time with our server and staff. I will not deduct a star for being sit in the dark section by the unstaffed bar and the warmer upstairs because we had our 1 year old with us. We respect our privacy and comfort of other guests matter too. Terry was a wonderful server who was knowledgeable about the whole menu we left thinking he was probably in business with the owners, is the owner, or something like that. I ordered the French onion soup and a meat pie. I don't think you can find a better French onion soup then what they have here. I still can remember the taste weeks later. The meat pasty was also very good, although the dough felt like it could've been a bit more done on the inside, but that might have been because the insides turned it soft. What do I know. We really liked the food here the first time we came and I was excited to come back and try some different things on the menu. My wife and I both ordered the Beef Stroganoff. Stopped in for lunch on a holiday Monday and it was packed. 15-20 min wait for a table. Frisco Barroom is in an historic building at the heart of Old Orchard in Webster. They make many of their breads, jams on site, as well as cure and smoke most of their meat. They offer charcuterie boards, soups, sandwiches but also have steak, fish and pasta entrees. They have an extensive beer selection including local crafts, and a pretty beer garden for nicer weather. We chose the French onion soup, and split a grilled cheese sandwich. Soup was wonderful with plentiful onions and topped with two large cheesy toasted French bread slices. The grilled cheese had thinly sliced apple, bacon and three types of cheese. Very unique and tasty! Emily was our server and while busy, was on top of things and attentive as needed. The heaters really warm up the patio and they have a huge fireplace outside. I will say the star of the show and the reason I'll be back time and time again is the espresso martinis.
