    French onion soup
    Trevor M.

We really had a great time with our server and staff. I will not deduct a star for being sit in the dark section by the unstaffed bar and the warmer upstairs because we had our 1 year old with us. We respect our privacy and comfort of other guests matter too. Terry was a wonderful server who was knowledgeable about the whole menu we left thinking he was probably in business with the owners, is the owner, or something like that. I ordered the French onion soup and a meat pie. I don't think you can find a better French onion soup then what they have here. I still can remember the taste weeks later. Deep savory flavors of broth and carmalied red onion. With some bread pieces soaked in and topped with the glorious cheese. The meat pasty was also very good, although the dough felt like it could've been a bit more done on the inside, but that might have been because the insides turned it soft. What do I know. All I know it was delicious and I want everyone to come here for French onion soup. The staff are all so pilot and the hostess are really tentative which to me is a little thing that shows how well the ship is run there.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not my first time at Frisco, but my first time enjoying their patio! There is so much indoor and outdoor space, I truly had no idea how large the space is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of the patio is so nice, enough landscaping to help you forget you're right next to a parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are incredibly attentive, between servers checking in and bussers retrieving anything empty, there is always someone around to help if needed. We went on a Sunday night - it wasn't too crowded and easy to walk in and immediately be seated. I had an espresso martini - it was surprisingly sweet, no complaints. For food, we had burger and beet salad. The mustard relish that comes with the burger was delish! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great spot for a casual night with friends or a date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Such a cozy spot in Webster Groves. I can't recall if they have a parking lot, but I parked on the street. I decided to stop by and see my friends's band perform. I ordered the smoked white fish appetizer that was incredibly delicious! I was really pleased to see such a large selection of vegetarian choices. Service was really good. They have a heated patio for cooler night. I definitely want to revisit when I have time for a leisurely dinner.

Great menu, fun place with some unique menu items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in you are met with an atmosphere of fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hostess were quick to greet. Bartenders were busy and made good cocktails while waiting for the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside seating, outside seating and deck seating to match your desire and weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The perigee was really good and surprised me as it was different from my aunts Ukrainian dumplings. Beet salad was excellent as was the fish and chips. A definite must-return to place.

Came here with my family on a Sunday night and had no wait for a patio table. Super great patio. Service was pretty quick and our server was super helpful. We got poutine for a starter and it was delicious. My sister got the spicy margarita and it was super spicy in my opinion but she loved it! I got the autumn margarita and it was good! I got the arugula salad and it was such a big salad and delicious. Cute place!

Spent a very cute half birthday / birthday dinner here! The atmosphere is a mix, it's in Webster which has both an older and younger vibe The two top table was a little small for having plates and sharing foods but the service was great and food was very good We started with the trout dip which i LOVED. Warm and with crackers. Plenty to share between two people. Then, we had their classic potato pierogi and their mushroom pierogi! It was my first time having them and they were really good! I'm definitely a crunchy outside kinda person but they were cooked really well and had delicious flavors. My birthday babe had a piece of key lime pie (she gave it a solid 7.5/10), also my first time having them- not my favorite but nothing wrong with it for people who like pie! Overall it was a lovely dinner, I'll have to try more next time!

We couldn't figure out why there was a draft as we were sitting in a booth in the bar area. Finally realized there was a back door that kept opening. Good thing I ordered the hearty bowl of clam chowder soup and the small house salad. Plenty of food for my dinner.

This is the perfect cozy place to go, especially in the winter, but they also have a beautiful patio for the summer. They are right next to a coffee shop, which is really great and there's a large parking lot in the back. Food is phenomenal especially the French onion soup and the service is great.

Great food and one of the best year round patios! Fans in the summer and heaters and fireplace in the Fall. I love the whitefish dip. They do get crowded on usually busy nights but the service is quick and attentive. Will definitely return.

    SALSICCIA
    Kara B.

Went midday Sunday, wasn't very busy. Able to get a seat right away. Short staffed on servers because it took forever to get a server to our table our entire stay. I ordered the salsiccia. They forgot the grout mustard. I had eaten all my fries before I could get a server over to get me what was supposed to be delivered with the meal. Had a glass of red wine that tasted like the bottle was stale and had been popped open awhile. Very disappointing.

We were greeted immediately by the host and it was lovely weather outside so requested to sit on the roof top. What an excellent choice! Andrea was our server and she did a great job! She kept attention to our beverages and checked in on how we were feeling about our selections. The Soo and pierogi were both delicious! I don't think I'll order the poutine again. The combination of meat, cheese and gravy complimented well with the mustard yet it was just too many fries in my opinion.

But it was cold and rainy and soup sounded good! The soup was very good - very cheesy and they didn't put a chunk of bread in there to get all soggy, which I appreciated. The wings were okay. A guy from my running group asked me which way it was, and I was like, "Uh, I think it's that way." A few places on this strip all have similar awnings. I thought I was lucky finding such a good spot. By the time I was done with my run, maybe an hour later, all of Clayton was an absolute ghost town. It makes me wonder what they'd have to put here to get people to visit Clayton during the evening, a 7 Brew? Inside is more along the lines of a bar, with a number of beers on tap and decor that may have been purchased from a Kohl's. I appreciated the way they had the beers on tap written on the wall in ginormous fonts, and I'm sure the elderly are similarly appreciative. Sometimes you ask these waiters what beers they have on tap and they act like they're doing you a favor by listing them. I asked this hillbilly they've got waiting tables at the Syberg's over on Dorsett what beers they have on tap, and he just said they have 30 of them. Uh, thanks? I wonder if he counted them. I went with the 4 Hands Incarnation, which I have at least once a week, because I get it for free. It seemed less "high gravity" than it does when you get it in the tall cans.Hmm... Usually, my move at these burger places is to order a bacon cheeseburger or a specialty burger that has bacon on it. 5 Star had such a burger listed first on their menu, making my choice easy enough. I toyed with the idea of ordering the Green Chile Cheeseburger, but not seriously. I wasn't sure what the green chiles would taste like, and what if they turned out to be gross? The Blue Ribbon Burger comes with bacon, port-braised onions and Gorgonzola cheese, along with LTOP. No, that's not a typo. You get thinly sliced red onions in addition to the port-braised onions. It feels weirdly generous of them, even though they're just onions, and all the fresh toppings are of a seemingly high quality. I was more ambivalent about the toppings specific to the Blue Ribbon Burger. I didn't dislike them, but I was less impressed by them than I would have expected. The bacon was good, but it was in crumbles and I think I would have liked it more if it were in thick, crispy strips. No Diddy. The cheese was either not flavorful enough or in not abundant enough quantity to be much of a factor. The onions, on the other hand, provided a nice flavor kick--less tart than I expected, more along the lines of the onions in a french onion soup. The fries were kinda whatever. They were good, being french fries and all, but not as gourmet as the menu would have you think. And they don't give you very many of them, if you get the regular serving. Weirdly, the regular serving doesn't cost much money, by Brandon-era standards, but the serving-size is decidedly skimpy. Why not just charge a normal amount and give you a normal quantity? Even the large won't exactly break the bank. I went with the small because I just wanted to see what they were like, for the sake of citizen food journalism. You're welcome.
