Had a good lunch today at Billy Joes Ribworks. First off, parking is limited. During their busy hours, it gets filled up quick. That said, it may be hard to find parking depending on the time you go. The restaurant is extremely spacious, both indoors and outdoors. There is a bar area inside and outside. It's on the waterfront, so you get a nice view of the Hudson River, especially if you sit outside. Inside, there are a bunch of TVs for sports viewing. It's decorated with classic American decor that fit their American BBQ theme. Ambiance rate 9/10. The dishes that were ordered... 1. Brisket Reuben Sandwich: This had a flavorful and delicious taste. The size of the sandwich was huge making the portion size very generous. Rate 7/10. 2. Grilled Mac & Cheese Sandwich: This also had a yummy flavor. You can tell that the mac and cheese was homemade. Rate 7/10. The overall staff were friendly and attentive, including our server. The service wait for our food was around 15 minutes. Service/staff rate: 9/10. We ate here after taking a boat tour of the Hudson River. Came in for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, and especially by the outdoor deck on the river. Had a great lunch menu that was reasonably priced and delicious. Our table had the flatbread, brisket rueben, Buffalo chicken wrap, and the wings. This place is so fun. The music was awesome at 1pm on a Friday. The outdoor space looks like it would be wicked fun in the warm months as well. Decent place for bbq in the Hudson valley. Right on the Hudson River so nice views while dining. The ribs are fall off the bone kind of ribs which I liked but wish there was a dry rub option. The bbq chicken had a nice Smokey flavor and was not dry. I enjoyed the cornbread and collard greens. The whipped sweet potatoes were a tad too sweet, almost like a sweet potato pie filling. But I want to give a special shout-out to our waiter Tammy. She was so polite. Some waiters are there just to take your order and move on to the next table but this lady spirit was so amazing. Good but not anything special. We all ordered meals with ribs or beef brisket....so mouthwatering good! The BBQ here is superb!!! I ordered the Ribworks Smoke House Salad with sliced beef brisket because that's healthy, right? It's one of the best salads I've had in a while. I would definitely order it again. I made hubby get a full rack so I could taste the ribs cuz that's what we do. A bit dry to what I'm used to but still really good. Our waitress, Tammy, was fantastic. She checked on us often which I like and everyone's order came out on time and perfect. She was very nice and apologized for not having non-dairy alternatives which brings me to the reason why I gave four stars. This is my biggest pet peeve with restaurants...no alternative milks for coffee. It's so hard to watch everyone enjoy coffee and dessert and I can't. Seriously people, a restaurant that's taking in thousands in a night...you can't keep a $3 container of almond, soy, or oatmeal milk in the fridge for those of us who don't t do dairy! We ordered some beers, my husband got the Purplet Gatorade drink. I tried it-I didnt taste any alcohol. Was it in there?it was deceptively sweet and delicious. We all ordered sandwiches instead of ribs and chicken. My sister got the Reubens sandwich (triple decker!) with fries. My son got the grilled mac n herself with pulled pork and sweet potato fries, my husband got the legend burger (holy money it was HUGE!) with sweet potato fries and I got a burger with coleslaw.
