The drinks were great too, we couldn't ask for a better service staff, they were friendly and attentive from the time we walked in. I must say... I really wanted it to be great but it was disappointing. This was my second visit (as I try to go more than once before reviewing some restaurants). The first time I remember not being amazed but enjoying the meal. This time, however, I was just disappointed. There were 5 of us and we all felt the same way- the food was just okay. Not much flavor. I got the shrimp wrap and for $18 definitely was not expecting so much greenery. Although they said there were all these veg in it I felt like I was just eating a wrap with some shrimp and lots of lettuce. And my wrapped was ripped lol so it was falling apart from the start...again disappointing! My cocktail was tasty...bourbon smash. I will say too we did not get the ribs and maybe we would of liked it more if we did. Would I go back.... Well, I won't be recommending it again at least lol read more

Billy Joes Right on the water right next to a small marina at the Newburgh Waterfront is a lovely place to have lunch or dinner. The wait staff is very friendly and Managers Brian and Joe go out of their way to make your stay the best it could be. You can sit out or in, both are pleasant. On a beautiful day I suggest right on the water. There is a tiki bar on the deck outside and a decent bar inside. Reuben Sandwich, the brisket on this was so tender, i just wanted to pick at with a fork. Bbq sauce wasnt served with this but once added it made the sandwich so much more tastier. The food is lacking flavor. The creamy mac cheese has something added to the rue, i couldn't pin point but it didn't make it any more flavorful. Everyone in our group was over the age of 21. They denied one of my friends MILITARY ids and kicked him out. The disrespect from the bald manager was beyond disgusting. He screamed in a woman's face for asking why her friend had been kicked out with his real ID. An absolute disgusting man. It's just a really cool place to hang out and have a good time, especially during Covid, when there aren't a lot of places open. They have an extensive outdoor dining area. So no issues with social distancing. Food was excellent. Beer selection was ok. Service was also excellent. So it's a five star for me, especially in light of the current conditions and how hard it is to keep a place open/keep quality high. read more

We came in for a late lunch an a weekday and thought the food was good. It has the vibe of a honky tonk bar and grill with a good amount of outdoor seating right on the Hudson River. Overhead garage doors to the outside area make the entire space feel open. The day we went was on and off heavy rain so the garage doors were closed, but we had a nice view of the churning Hudson even still. Our server was friendly, knew the menu well and we both enjoyed our lunch gyros. One thing we liked was that you aren't limited to French fries as a side, but can choose any side they have. I tried their Mac n cheese and it was VERY TASTY! My wife had their mashed sweet potatoes, which were more sweet like a dessert, but also very good. I would think that when it's busy, service might be slower, but we had a good experience and would make another trip back when we're in Newburgh. read more

I came with high expectations because of the 2.7k (4.5 star) reviews on google, but sadly it didn't live up to that. We got the, house bbq ribs, the brisket and the chicken wings. The wings felt a bit undercooked or at least not what I expected from smoked wings. It was ok, the only flavor came from the coating of sauce in the outside. The ribs weren't as juicy as they looked, didn't fall off the bone like I imagined it to be. It was a bit dry in my opinion. The brisket was also dry and wasn't as juicy as briskets I had previously. I had to use a lot of bbq sauce to make it have any taste. Overall not a great experience after seeing the great reviews on google. So folks, for food reviews definitely check out Yelp. read more

The atmosphere is so much fun, the waitress Maria is phenomenal, answered all of questions honestly and took her time explaining the menu. The view to the Hudson is amazing. The outside seating would be incredible if the weather was better :( People can park their boat on the dock and have an amazing lunch or dinner. Now to the food. The NACHOS! WINGS! BRISKET! THE WHITE SANGRIA! It's too bad I live in Miami and I am only here for a little while. The nachos have a good amount of cheese on them, the brisket has the right amount of fat, and the sausage has the perfect amount of kick. The quality of the food is pretty good, the size of the portions are decent, but the price is flat out disrespectful. $40 bucks for two Brontosaurus ribs where a quarter of the meat towards the end was either skin or too tough to chew because it was over cooked is not worth it. That being said, the sliced brisket was SLAMMING. I know I've been here plenty of times before so all your sandwiches, your baked potatoes, loaded fries, and wings are all crazy good. So I'll throw the ribs yesterday up to an off day or an unlucky cut. We gotta work on that price though. Ambiance wise, it's very spacious and I love the fact that it's on the water. Outdoor and indoor seating with multiple bars. Drinks though are also pretty expensive. When the weathers nice on a sunny day the whole waterfront is poppin and Billy Joes turns up 10/10 times. At night the live music is always a hit between different DJ's or bands performing. You run into a ton of people when you go and it's a nice turnout every time. This is my 2nd trip here in 2 weeks, Celebrating another bday, decided to go away from the ribs this trip(even though wifey did slip me one of hers)& go with the whole chicken, I'm glad I did,the chicken was so moist and tender from the brining it just fell off the bone the sauce didn't overwhelm the chicken it was just the right amount, the one rib I did try was as always tender and succulent. The braised greens and baked beans were excellent, my wife had the mashed sweet potatoes with candied pecans on top excellent and my grandson who's bday we were celebrating had the pulled pork sandwich which he said was delicious. My amazing husband decided to take me here for the new year. I can honestly say, I'm not a huge fan of BBQ, but today I realized I just never had good BBQ in the past. The food was absolutely amazing the drinks as well, the mojitos was made authentic and strong. As a starter I had their smoked wings and it was super juicy and cooked to perfection, for my entree I wanted their famous beef ribs but unfortunately they were sold out! I ended up ordering thier half rack of ribs and brisket platter. The meal came with two sides which I chose mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese and corn bread. The ribs could've been a little more tender but the flavor and the BBQ sauce was great, the brisket was very fatty but also had a very good flavor, the sides was great especially the mashed potatoes my favorite, as for the corn bread.... let's just say I took 3 in a doggy bag home for me. While enjoying my food I was entertained by the line dancing, which was performed by the actual customers. Maybe next time I'll give it a try.
