Polish sausage, Kabasa. Probably the worst Kabasa I've ever had.
    John J.

The Kabasa was cold and tasteless. The mac & cheese was called. I brought it up and I saw them pouring the mac & cheese out of a bag into a steamer. Potato salad was certainly store-bought. My wife had a brisket salad and she said the brisket wasn't that great. The prices certainly weren't giving it away. I would suggest go to the number of really good barbecue places in town.

Tuesday night, all you can eat ribs with 2 unlimited sides!
    Shelley C.

I'm disappointed in the Tuesday night all-you-can-eat ribs. Granted, you can stuff yourself. The sides were good. I had baked beans, green beans and hubby had Mac and cheese with corn in the cob, which were all delicious. The fall down was on the ribs. You know that flavor you get where the meat was frozen, not wrapped up well, then dragged out and reheated? Yep. There it was. I tried two or 3 more with the same result. I had to eat the Texas toast just to get the funky taste out of my mouth. If you smothered it in BBQ sauce, you could almost disguise it. Almost. I know you guys have good food. I've been there before. This time wasn't.

Dinner Saturday night was good. The place was busy as expected for a Saturday night but we were…read moreseated within 20 minutes of our arrival. We had just enough time to grab a cocktail at the bar and enjoy the outside area while we waited. Cheers to the very busy bar team. We were waited on very quickly and our drinks is were well balanced and exactly the same. I ordered the Veggie sandwich with aioli dressing and broccoli salad side salad. I would highly recommend this dish if you want something filling but not overly heavy or hot. My friend ordered the sweet potatoes, her personal favorite, and raved about them. The service was great and the place had a relaxed vibe to it. On a personal note: it was really loud (for my taste) conversations had to be shouted to hear and it's hard to enjoy the great weather and outdoor space with the street noise so close ,the motorcycles that liked to crews by periodically to rev their engines several times during our dinner it made it less than enjoyable dining and for conversation. I love a good patio during nice weather but for me the noise level was so high it was hard to truly enjoy the dining experience as a whole. In general a great place to spend the eve in for dinner and drinks if you don't mind shouting and loud noise throughout your stay.

The staff didn't really interact so much so I can't say that they were friendly, but they were very attentive. I also ordered the world of whiskey. All the drinks were delicious. I love how open and clean the restaurant is. I'll be back next year. See you then.

Public at the Brickyard was one of the highlights of our time in Wichita. After spending the day…read moreexploring Tanganyika Wildlife Park, we wanted a relaxing dinner within walking distance of our hotel, and this locally owned restaurant was exactly what we were hoping to find. The first surprise was the size of the restaurant. From the street, it looks fairly modest, but once inside, it opens into a beautiful historic warehouse with exposed brick, an industrial feel, and a lively atmosphere. I also loved discovering the large outdoor patio tucked away behind the building--it would be a fantastic place to enjoy live music on a future visit. We ordered the baby back ribs, which had just been introduced to the menu that evening, and they were incredible. The meat was tender enough to fall right off the bone, the baked beans had just the right amount of spice, and the fries rounded out a great comfort meal. I also enjoyed trying a local cider on tap, and we couldn't resist finishing with the Key Lime Pie Crème Brûlée, which was absolutely delicious. What really stood out was how relaxed the experience felt. Even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a full day of adventure. If you're visiting Wichita, especially if you're staying in Historic Old Town, I highly recommend adding Public at the Brickyard to your itinerary. Great food, genuine hospitality, and a wonderful example of supporting local Kansas producers make this a restaurant I'll gladly return to on my next visit.
