It was my birthday in Cabo so I wanted to go somewhere that was going to be good and that was recommended to me by a friend who visits there often. Unfortunately that restaurant was closed so on a whim (while praying it was going to be good) my friend and I tried Billygans after looking at their menu. There weren't many people there, which concerned me at first, but when we were greeted by two friendly smiles I knew that at least our servers were going to be friendly and hopefully fun (because it was my birthday and that's what I wanted :) ) Before I give my review on the chilaquiles that I ordered (my friend did the same entree) I want to begin by saying that my absolute favorite breakfast dish is chilaquiles! As you may guess, because of that fact I am VERY particular about my chilaquiles. I don't like my chips too soggy or too dry. The sauce needs to be full of flavor and there should be enough eggs to have a good ratio of eggs, sauce and chips. Of course sour cream, cotija (or regional cheese) along with fresh cilantro AND enough avocado to use for every bite is necessary in my book. So........... with all that being said, Billygans chilaquiles checked ALL those boxes! They even included some onion on top and refried beans. It made this birthday girl VERY happy! We both ordered an American coffee which was always filled without us even asking for a refill. Which brings me to my next part of my review...the service. Marta and Maurice were not only friendly but very attentive. Our drinks were always full and our plates were cleared quickly after we were done. We spent some time talking to them about the area, about where they live, etc. When I travel I appreciate when I can get to know the culture and people and they both gave us that gift that morning. They both also surprised me with a delicious chocolate cupcake and huge "candle" to help me celebrate my special day. The dining space was clean and they had two options of where to sit...on the sand or on the covered patio. The tables, utensils and overall cleanliness was a 10. I value that and try to mention cleanliness of an establishment in most of my reviews. I will, without a doubt, visit here again. This was actually my second visit to Billygan's. My first visit was a couple years ago. Overall I did enjoyed my latest visit, but my previous visit was a better experience. Prices and menu options have changed and are more expensive , and although service was good, my last visit was exceptional. Will I go back yes. This is an amazing bar/restaurant right on Medano Beach. Our server Jenny was so professional and welcoming. Jenny recommended the fish tacos and they were incredible. And the Mezcalita is delicious! We were also assisted by Roli during our visit. He was attentive, considerate, and respectful. I highly recommend stopping in if you are by if you are ! cabo. read more

The fish and shrimp tacos were ok, but I had better in L.A. We had a party of seven, and the only table eating, but the restaurant next door, The Office was packed and the customers were all having fun. Our group just had tacos, appetizers and margaritas and our bill was around $400.00 U.S. dollars overly priced just for seafood tacos. The only good thing about it is it's on the beach. Honestly, Billygan's was nothing special but I didn't have food from here. I had a few Pacifico beers and that was it. I did enjoy the setup as far as the spaces you can reserve. This is great for people watching IF that's your thing . The highlight has to be that this bar/ restaurant is right on the beach!! It can get very crowded too and the peddlers will try to sell you to death with their merchandise! Beware! Haha There was somewhat of a language barrier but our server did ok. I didn't care for the inside bar crew. They even ignored me a couple times before they eventually took my drink order, which took forever! We came, we saw , we conquered. Picked this place up cuz of the reviews on the Cabo fb group. The food was good. Price was in line with the touristy area. Love my mango and also the passionfruit marg. I went into this place cuz they have their own umbrella and chairs. They told me the day bed usually cost $200 USD but he'd give it to me for $150. I'm like no thanks. The towel was 600 pesos which I skipped too. We moved to their free chairs under the umbrella after we ate. Our server Manny was helpful and moved the umbrella for us and threw in some towels. I gave him some good tips for helping out. Went for a quick swim in the front. Overall, it's a place I'd come back again! read more

If given a choice between here and The Office, go here! The food is delicious, no servers standing over you and zero pressure to buy more food or pictures. The food is wayyy cheaper and probably better than comparable restaurants in the area. All the beach sellers are so focused on The Office we actually enjoyed the meal and the experience. Music is competing from opposite sides so it's slightly loud but this place is great. Just give it a shot. read more

Perfect spot! A little pricey but everything was exactly what we were looking for and food was incredible!!! Right by where water taxis drop you off as well, we got there around 8am and got second choice of a table but it filled up quickly and was very busy by the time we left around 12:30- as long as you continue to eat and drink you can leave your belongings at your table and enjoy the beach and water. Stopped by for some drinks on the beach before heading back home to LA. We were originally planning on going to the Office next door but they were full. We had a few margaritas and listened to the DJ play some tunes. There were venders coming in and offering everything from jewelry to hair braiding and massages. I went for a massage. That was the absolute best! A massage and a margarita on the beach. What more could I ask for? Now, the minus 1 star is for how the owner rips off the vendors who come in. The lady told me that out of the $20 massage I got, she keeps $6 and has to give the owner the rest. That's not cool. read more

A day bar with $30 per person chairs on Medano beach. The $30 goes toward your fee. The food was very good. I had the avocado toast for breakfast and it was outstanding! Grilled avocado with a perfectly fried egg. Service was excellent-put server, Pablo, kept our drinks filled all day long. We went on a day that there were no cruise ships, so it was not very busy. I'm sure it gets more busy when cruise ships are at port, Being on Medano Beach, you do have to deal with vendors so choose chairs that are not right against the rope. Amazing food! Would go again for that reason! For the cabana we stayed at it was a $200 minimum but honestly, we got quite a bit shade and great service to hang out all day! Good food and great service. High energy (read loud) location, but excellent beach side location. They didn't charge us for use of lounge chairs, just asked that we buy food and drink. Service was superb- very friendly and accommodating. Parking would have been a nightmare, but they offered valet parking- problem solved! read more

Amazing service! Hector is hot! You know those good looking silver foxes that you just want to hunt hunt down. Cesar was cool with his bumble hat, pretty sure he had no idea what he was wearing. Lol But on a serious note the food was absolutely amazing. You've got to try the camarones imperiales or the bacon wrapped shrimp oh sea that's a translation for you non Spanish speaking folks. This place would get more crowded if they treated their patrons better. We are here now, 17 of us. We have spent a few hundred on beer and shots. About $300+ and they are constantly harassing us that we have to spend more in order to sit at our table, mind you the VIP section was $200 minimum and we opted to just sit at a regular table instead because everyone was paying cash as we ordered. Then security comes up to one of our guys because he needed to pay $2 for a mask to use the bathroom. She was so rude and acting as if we would not pay it. Caused a scene over $2 and we could not understand since all our orders had been paid for. The only reason I am giving an extra stars is because of the location and the beach. Note to management, I'm sure you would be more crowded if you gave better service. $2 is not worth it. read more

We have been to Billygan's for over 50 times because we know the quality of food and service. The waiters, Mr.T. , Ramon, Fransisco, Pablo and many more take very good care of us. The view of the water relaxing from our lounge chairs only 50 feet away is beautiful. They all wait on you hand and foot with food , drinks, and moving your umbrellas to keep you out of the sun if you like. We have our breakfast an lunch at Billygan's almost everyday because we love their quality of food. They have really nice newly remolded restrooms, so nice. We have been to other places, but we prefer the over all experience at Billygans. read more

We ate here twice on our trip. Their food is amazing, service was excellent & the prices are great. We had the seafood fettuccine, clam chowder, guacamole & calamari. (Not all at one sitting, lol) They are located directly next to The Office, which we've eaten at numerous times. When we attempted to get a table at The Office, they were packed & had no availability. We decided to try Billygan's and we were so happy we did. We had an amazing beach front table instantly. We visited Cabo for a few hours as one of the stops on a Mexican Riviera cruise and were looking for somewhere to relax away from the main shopping corridor. From the tender boat drop off, Billygan's is an ambitious 30 minute walk, or you can take a water taxi directly across to the beach. There are a few different stops for the water taxis to make on the opposite side of the beach, but Billygan's is only steps from one of them so be sure to let your driver know where you're headed. We got there early (~8am) and had no problem getting a place to sit. They have cabana beds right on the beach (which were unfortunately reserved), but we were able to get lounge seats right behind them. I would suggest bringing a towel from your resort or cruise ship since these seats have a plastic covering and you'll stick to them once you start to sweat. The service we received was awesome (request Francisco)! The servers are very friendly, happy to answer any questions about the menu (or the pesos to USD exchange rate) and attentive to whatever you need. At the end of our day, I really felt like I was at a high end resort with dedicated service. Highly recommend stopping here during your time in Cabo, you won't be disappointed! read more

Needless to say, our servers were not very attentive and the drinks were a bit weak. I had to send one back and ask them to redo it. No plans to go back again. read more

This was a fun place to spend the afternoon. Francisco was very attentive and keep us filled with food and drink. Be careful with the menu as it can add up fast. Little too expensive for what you are served. You do pay for the beach view and access. Two of us spent over $85.00 and didn't feel anything from the margaritas! I think they were virgin! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. They entire staff is amazing and accommodating. Food and drinks are amazing. I spent 9 days in Cabo and visited them at least once a day, everyday! Francisco, Ramon, Mario, Mr. T (and all the others) treated me like a princess! One day I was even alone all day, they made sure I was safe and well taken care of. They are always quick with the valet parking and very courteous. Like I said- I cannot day enough good things. The dinner service was AMAZING!!! See you next time Billygans! read more

My friends were intent on eating at The Office, but upon discovering it was closed for a month while the owners vacationed (where do you vacation when you work on a beach?) we needed to find a new place fast as we were all a bit hungry. We walked along the beach until we came upon this restaurant where a small yellow rope separated the dining from the rest of the beach. After a quick conversation with the gentleman maintaining the entrance, and verifying the food looked tasty, we were quickly seated toward the building at a table under a large umbrella. It was utterly fantastic! I have never eaten on the beach before with nothing separating me from the sand except for a plastic chair. Our waiter was gracious, spoke English a bajillion times better than my Spanish, and was very attentive. When my brother was on the hunt for unique Mexican beers our waiter gave several excellent suggestions. When none of us wanted onions in our food, he made sure to note which dishes would be near impossible to do that with, and when we paid our bill he wrote the peso to dollar conversion for us! On top of that when one of the beach vendors slipped underneath the ropes and was pushing cigars on us, despite being repeatedly told we weren't interested, he stepped in and asked her to leave, which she listened to him. I ordered a mojito and a shrimp quesadilla. Now, what I received wasn't quite what I was expecting as I am accustomed to what I have eaten in the northern part of the continental U.S. which is a flour tortilla with meat and a ton of cheese. What I received looked more like a taco and no cheese. That said it didn't matter. That tortilla was simply the most delicious tortilla I had eaten to that point making me realize I've been eating garbage tortillas all my life. The shrimp was an explosion of flavors! I never knew shrimp could be so tender and fiery! It didn't matter what it looked like, it was simply delicious. Everyone knows about The Office, but this place is just as good. Came here for breakfast on a Saturday. We were the only group here, so maybe that skewed our experience for the better. The waiter was extremely friendly and spoke perfect English. 5 beers for $12 isn't a bad deal either! We got seats right on the beach, and the waiter set out lounge chairs for us too for after breakfast. I got the Mexican Eggs with a side of sausage. Very delicious, not watery or oily. The hash browns were really good too, not overly fried but had a nice crisp on the top. Overall great experience and food. Billygan's is the hidden treasure I found after 5 visits to Cabo! My cousin and I were hoping to find a place where we could get pina coladas out of a coconut, and we were so happy to discover Billygan's had just that! At very reasonable prices! The bartender took pride in whipping us up delicious and beautiful pina coladas! Really great atmosphere, it wasn't busy so we were able to spread out on their comfy white couches on the sand. Delicious food. I was craving enchiladas and the chef made a special enchilada verde just for me. It was my best meal in Cabo by far. Francisco our waiter was on it, and fun. What are you looking for? That's the question to ask yourself. Are you looking for the spring break crowd? They are not here, they are however nearby. Are you looking for 10/10 Mexican food? Not here either. Looking for a great place to spend the day on the beach with all the drinks and snacks you could ever want? Yup. This is it. We rented a beach bed for the day and were treated very, very well, anything we wanted was brought ASAP. You are going to be approached by vendors, I'm not going to lie. But remember, it's a Mexican beach and those are Mexican citizens... they have more right to that beach than we do. Rather than sit and wait for a handout, they are out busting their hump to earn for their family. So at the very least, just say no thank you. Despite what I said earlier, The food wasn't bad. The red chilaquiles were pretty good, and the super nachos were the best thing we ate all day. The fish tacos were ok, but only because I wasn't a fan of using what seemed to me to be a coleslaw rather than fresh cabbage. Nothing was bad. I enjoyed myself, as did the wife. We had a table right on the beach, with an amazing view of Los Arcos, delicious food and friendly attentive service.The red snapper was one if my favorite meals on this vacation to Cabo! I asked for it grilled and it came out perfectly cooked and seasoned. As for drinks I recommend ordering the Pina Loca!! Its delish and sooo cute. Billygans also makes a very yummy Mojito. Since we were visiting Cabo in the off-season which we normally do not, most of our favorite restaurants were closed until September including The Office. Since we needed a breakfast selection our hotel suggested Billygan's which in the course of 15+ years we have never been to. We arrived and we're graciously greeted and escort into a table directly on the beach. Our waiter was friendly and helpful especially when one of our guests had a very specific order. We ordered a shrimp omelette Mexican eggs American breakfast with two eggs over easy and the fitness breakfast. All of it was delicious, freshly prepared and served hot we were very impressed by it overall including the portions and value. The waiter was attentive and continue to engage in conversation with us. At one point during the meal one of the managers/sales person greeted us and of course asked if it was our first time in Cabo (always a pitch here in town) But surprisingly was very helpful in offering the water taxi service to see the arch which our guests had not seen. We appreciated that he didn't give us the hard-sell especially during our relaxing breakfast because I hate that. And since it was off-season and it was about $10 US per person so how can you turn that down. Normally it runs about $15-$17 during high season. After we finish breakfast we took the water taxi across to lovers beach and the arch and our friends enjoyed it very much. Try not to be discouraged with the vendors constantly hawking their wares on the beach in front of you just tell them "no gracias". They will leave you alone. The restaurant wasn't very busy which was nice and we definitely will return to try breakfast again. Complimentary valet parking right out front. Just don't forget to leave a generous tip. read more

The views dont get any better than this...We sat right on the beach, the service was impeccable, friendly staff....eating dinner on the sand with a view of Lands End, doesnt get any better than that. My wife had the fajitas....comes in a hot bowl, the flavors are to die for! Ive never had anything that good. I went with the Filet Migno and Lobster tail ($30 USD)...can't beat that deal. The lobster tail is steamed, not grilled, they use a garlic butter...the steak was one of the best...flame grilled. One suggestion is that you ask for 1 level up on your steak, I prefer medium, so went with medium well....came out medium! We also and the calamari appetizer, so much flavor!
