I like the food here. Basic Saturday night burger joint with a bit extra on the menu. The are good, the are great. Poppers are okay, cream cheese only, no cheddar. It can get exceptionally warm inside. The have a few bottled beers, enough to get an IPA or the regular swill. The salads are good, better than sub shop style. All told the prices are the standard for the "hotdog" joint. 8$ average for a sandwich. Bathrooms are nice and clean too. read more

This place is what you would expect - tasty food, good pricing and friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed the Gyro during my visit; it had plenty to satisfy my appetite, including enough sauce! Hot and krispy fries and all you can drink fountain beverages. Worth the stop! You'll enjoy this one. read more

Typical burger and fries joint, but with some extras that make it an option for anyone - their Portillo's-style chopped salad with a creamy vinaigrette is fantastic. 2 years ago I would have given them 5 stars. Best ribs around. Now they are lousy, soaked in vinegar and luke warm. My husband said the burger was ok. I ordered a beef because I couldn't eat the ribs. The beef was decent, but not worth the money ($40 for ribs, burger and a beef, 2 fries with 2 drinks) or the long drive. read more

Billy's In Spring Grove is probably the number one Restaurant in town. They have excellent food and great customer service. Billy's also has great prices on their food but there great prices dose not even affect the quality of food that Billy's serves. I can honestly say that I have never once had a bad experience at Billy's and I have been eating there for almost over 5 yrs know. The atmosphere at Billy's has kind of a hang out feeling to it and also this family-ness kind of feel to it there are also TV's on the walls with news or sporting event being played, on them there are arcades to keep the kids busy while the food is being made. Billy's also has an old time Chicago feeling to it. The Employees are very friendly and always take your order with such accuracy. They always smile and greet you and make you feel welcomed. Overall I think it's a great place for even a quick sit down family dinner. The Prices at Billy's are great that's what keeps me coming back is there low prices but great quality! They used to have a Billy's Stimulus lunch menu which had gyros for only $2.99 it was amazing! Billy's also had on Tuesday's by 1 hot dog get one free. That is like one of my favorite meals to get and not to mention that only 99cents. Overall Billy's Prices are fantastic! I usually love Billy's foods. They have limited vegetarian dishes, but I love their salads. Well, I did until last night. I ordered a Greek salad with Greek dressing. Partway through the salad I took a bite and got a gritty rocky feeling. I passed it off as a piece of filling and continued. I brought it home and tried eating some today. Well, I found out that there were pieces of dirt all throughout my salad. That will be the last time I get their salad. read more

Used to work nearby and always stop by Billy's if I'm in the area. Best meatball sandwich on earth and the fries are the best around too. Can't go wrong with the Italian Beef or Gyros either. Large portions and very good value for your buck. Last time I visited the music was speed metal and way too loud which I really didn't enjoy but the food was still great. read more

We regularly eat at Billy's. They have great charcoal-grilled burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches (with Greek-style seasoning) and salads. Some really nice offerings are their chicken or beef skewer dinners that come with rice and grilled veggies. They also have a fantastic healthy grilled salmon dinner with the rice and grilled veggies. The owners and staff are super nice. We usually get our food to go, but there are a few booths and tables if you want to eat in. The chocolate cake is like the kind served at Portillo's. I'm a sucker for their fries and Chicago dogs as well. A nice casual place that has some unexpected dinner offerings and catering service as well. read more

Have been a long time customer for years ever since he was still in the franchise with the other name until now. Had a burger made wrong (missing bacon and it was so pink i wouldn't dare to eat it) I call to let them know, they said they would give me a voucher for a meal in the future, the kid working the counter wanted me to bring in the burger so they could inspect it since they didn't believe me. Fine whatever I brought it in. He remade me my burger that I asked for the first time, but refused to give me the voucher and stated well your voucher was good for the burger you have. I go I paid for that and had to come back, the least you could do is give me a burger for the future. Sorry no, I go fine I want a refund then for my meal because I did not want to eat their anymore. He stated he couldn't give me a refund because he remade the burger. I said I don't want the burger and this was very poor customer service. After about 20-25 minutes of trying to explain how ridiculous the customer service is that you wouldn't give me a refund some other girl came over and finally gave me a refund. I asked to have the owners call me. I bet they never got the message. No phone call and you just lost a life long customer. Will spread the word about this poor experience. Would gladly update the rating if things were set right but not after what happened. read more

It takes quite a bit for me to write a negative review. We live across the street from Billy's and have never really had any issues before. Last night after my son's baseball game we stopped in for some dogs. First thing the blonde cashier says is "we are out of fries and something else" I wasn't really listening to the second item. I was floored. Your business runs off of fries and sandwiches basically! My wife asks if we can get another side in exchange. The girl says yes I can offer money off of either the cheese curds or onion rings. Now I am expecting you to take off $1.99, which is the normal cost of the fries, off of the other item. Nope. Took off $.75 after I complained about being charged full price and had to be issued a refund. Now I didn't make you not order fries for your hot dog business! Anyways I decided to order a beef/sausage combo and sat down to eat with my family. One bite in and the middle of the sausage is completely raw! Asked my wife just to be sure I wasn't being crazy and she advised the same thing. I brought the sandwich back to the counter where the younger guy who is always working gave me a what the hell do you want look. I showed him the sausage and he asked what was wrong with it. This is not hard to notice! He took it back and then gave me another sandwich in literally 1 minute. Makes me question why I had to wait 10 minutes for my food to begin with. This one was cooked but now covered in jardiniere which I ordered on the side. I just ate it and we left. As I said before. I have to have a pretty bad experience to write a negative review of anywhere but I could not believe the actions of the employees last night.
