Really good experience dealing with this company. They were nice enough to help me over the phone and advise me to go with my home warranty to solve a problem with my water heater. I think they've been out to the house before because I had their business card taped to my water heater, but the lady on the phone advised me she could send somebody out but it would be better if I check my home warranty first because it would save me money. So I really appreciated that she wasn't just trying to make a few hundred bucks off of me. The night before a different (very well known) plumbing company had been at our home for a total of 4 hours and said they couldn't fix the issue and that it would cost over $3,000. Billy's was referred to us by our home warranty company. Our toilet was loose in our master bathroom. It turned out that it was loose because the toilet was not the correct size to cover the footprint. This caused leaking and wood rot. Our warranty company wouldn't cover it but Suzanne gave us a really reasonable price and were able to come the next day and fully repair the area. We were originally told that we would have to have new linoleum installed but Hector was able to salvage the old flooring. They went beyond our expectations. this was the second time I used Billys plumbing. Which was provided through my home warranty plan and this was for a rental property. So time was of the essence. They got the order first thing in the morning and were out and took care of the stoppage before noon,Which was Amazing as the tenants we're just a little upset for the inconvenience of the shower backing up thank you again. Giovanni is an absolute plumbing magician. I'd called Billy's to get a hydrojetting under our insurance policy after another set of plumbers had worked on trying to snake out a clog in our main sewer line (for over an hour), but had no luck. Giovanni said that he had to try the snake first before proceeding to hydrojetting, which I thought was going to be a major waste of time, but lo and behold, he got things flowing in half an hour. Come to find out that the reason behind the clog was a massive multiple-feet-long plant root that had invaded the sewer main through a crack in one of the clay bell joints, which explains why the other guys couldn't snake through it and makes it even crazier that Giovanni was able to get things flowing. After all this, Giovanni was still very humble, didn't trash talk the other guys, and in fact confirmed that what they'd said was reasonable, etc. Tools are good, but skills are necessary to get the most out of those tools, and Giovanni definitely has those. read more

My rating will be 0. This is the mail that I sent them due to inefficient job. I think all the situation with my claim  is disrespectful I have the claim with you and the warranty since Sep 20. You can imagine the disruptions in my home. I totally understood that we had to dry and clean the mold, just we did. The problem was last week. - Monday: Clean company came and said that everything is ready. They and I sent the letter... I called Billys company , because they NEVER reached me out to schedule the appointment. I had to call - Tuesday: The plumber came and as a ridiculous thing he can not open the wood, just the drywall. The client has to broke it down.. Ok we did it. -Wednesday: My contractor came and opened the entire whole for this company can work at 6:00 am.. I send over the pictures and video by SMS and Mail. But, once again nobody answer me. I HAD TO CALL again and you answer me.... oh yes I just received, we have appointments on -Friday. With this situation, I tried to explain in the best words that I need your help since It will have been there for 3 weekends, so we can not use my kitchen and my master bathroom. And a lady on the phone told me "I'm going to review, maybe tomorrow, i will call you back" IT NEVER HAPPENED. -Thursday: Nothing happened due to your lack of words and sense.  I think you take advantage of your clients. I called 3 times, at the end someone answered me and she told me.. OH You don't have any appointment neither for today nor friday...  Once again you will try to help me, but once again, "let me to review with my supervisor and I will call you in 30 min".. I cannot express how completely livid, frustrated, and disappointed I am with Billy's Plumbing. The service provided has been dishonest and deceitful from the start. Unfortunately, this vendor was selected by my home insurance company, whom I have trusted In the past to make wise selections. However, this experience is leaving me doubting their decision-making, as well. Having found a leak in our laundry room, a leak detection agent came out to evaluate the situation. He was helpful, quick and professional...suffice to say, he was NOT employed with Billy's. This agent provided a comprehensive evaluation report filled with dimensions, infrared image captures, and suggestions for repairs. This report was sent to Billy's directly, by me, when Billy's was identified as the vendor selected by home warranty. This was to ensure that they were kept abreast of the situation and were equipped to handle the job...which they insinuated they were. Upon reaching out to Billy's to schedule an appointment, I was notified they could not come out for a week. Wanting to resolve this quicker, I called my home warranty asking for another vendor and was told by them that Billy's offered us an earlier appointment that we turned down. I should have known to be more weary of a company that LIES from the start! Two weeks later, Billy's finally schedules an appointment between 9-12, and of course the plumber shows up 20 mins early when I was not prepared. I asked him to wait 15 mins while I managed to put our dogs away, and he decided to leave for an hour. My morning is now starting to be wasted. Moreover, I suffer an auto-immune disorder and require intense vigilance during COVID and needed to open all the doors and windows to allow fresh air flow while having a stranger in the house. With winds in the 40s, this hour wait plus the time he was here left the freshly cleaned house covered in dust. I know Billy's doesn't control the weather or viral outbreaks, but this point just adds to the frustration of what was to come next. The plumber returns with absolutely ZERO knowledge of the situation, either neglected to read or lied about receiving the report I sent, and requires me (not a professional plumber) to try and explain the report to him. I even printed him a second copy to review, which he seemed dumbfounded by. After pointing out the spots in the laundry room that would likely need to be opened up to repair the piping, the plumber decides to start cutting into the wall (see image below) before notifying me that now I have to move my two 600lb washer and dryer out of the room for him to better access the ceiling where he would need to make additional cuts. It took 4 large men to install those washers, and now with ZERO NOTICE, I am expected to haul these machines out...by my self! The plumber explained he was not willing to move anything, or even help me! I even offered to let him stand on the machines if needed, which he refused. This leaves me wondering what would have happened if they were called out to an elderly customers home...would a 80-year-old be mandated to move the equipment...I wonder how that would work After moving everything out of the room, disheveling our home and scratching the floors trying to at least pull the machines from the wall to allow some access, the plumber just said he'd have Billy's management call us...then just up and left without a goodbye or update on what to expect. Now here I am with my home in disarray, holes in the wall, no plan of action, and a leak without any real assistance or support. Billy's called at one point when I was attempting to move the machines and missed the call. I called back immediately, to no avail. I have since called and texted Billy's multiple times in the past hour without response. I cannot express in strong enough terms how much I recommend that others DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on working with this company. It is UNPROFESSIONAL, INEPT, and INCONSIDERATE! This was one of the worst home repair contractors I have ever worked with, and that is saying something; having just remodeled this home, I've been working with many, many wonderful services throughout LA and Ventura counties. I should of wrote a review a few months ago. My plumbing is a hot mess. It's a 1960s house in Woodland Hills. And the joke is when these models were built the plumbers were high. Most think pot, I'm starting to think LSD. lol. I've had problems in the past and used champion plumbing. That Ahole charged me $300.00, toilets backed up again in a week and Gunther wouldn't come back out nor give me back my money. Plus he accused me of being drunk at 10am!!! I called Billy for a problem I was having with my Tankless Water Heater (Rannai) . Within twenty minutes Billy had found the problem, cleaned one of the internal filters, replaced two of my water pipes leading to the unit and even fixed a leaking propane pipe going to the unit. Billy's plumbing was assigned by the First American Home Warranty to fix 2 leaky faucets in our 2nd floor bathroom. Billy's plumbing sent Giovanni to fix the faucets and he was able to fix them without any issues. I gave 5 stars to Billy's plumbing because they are on top of things and will fix the problem without any issues. Some positive observations: 1. I like how they utilize sms and email for communication. Betty, the office manager is the nerve center of the operation. Betty is very good with providing notifications of service schedule and very flexible with scheduling. 2. Giovanni the plumber they sent, is a very nice young man. I can't believe he is already a very experienced plumber as his young age, but he knows his stuff. He is also very professional (first thing he did before entering the house is put on those covers for his street shoes) and very pleasant to talk with. This is a long review because there were multiple factors and a huge difference between three companies. The company I'm reviewing here solved our problem and deserves a review worthy of the work their technician put in. If you are concerned or panicked about a possibly expensive plumbing issue, it may be worth reading my whole story here. Our master bath backed up in the shower, toilet and sink on a Friday. First, we had called another company, who came that day and attempted to snake from the main access and supposedly hydro-jetted from the roof access to clear the line; then they used a camera to scope. There were three different guys with three different trucks that came from this company. They snaked the main, but they were unable to clear it and said the pipe had to be replaced by digging up our foundation inside the master bedroom and bath to 'spot repair' the pipe, for $4320.00. This was quite a shock, as we thought it would be a simple snake job. Luckily, they did not charge us because they were unable to clear the line, with no other service call fee. But we were concerned about jumping into a $4k job. So we contacted our home warranty company, Old Republic Home Protection, who sent out another company that we requested, based on a friends recommendation. The funny thing is, the one we asked for wasn't the one we got. Apparently, there are two companies with the same name, different contractor's licenses, addresses and phone numbers. So we ended up booking both by mistake (one on our own who would charge for their visit, $250 regardless, and one through our warranty, which had a small service call fee of $85). It was a happy accident, because the one charging $250 was the one that ended up cancelling on us the following Monday after they were supposed to have shown up. So the second company is basically a non-issue. So this review is for the third company: BILLY'S PLUMBING AND ROOTER 9626 Lurline Avenue, Unit A Chatsworth, CA 91311 (818) 885-0077 connect@gobillys.com License # 992907 (you can look them up and their insurance, workers comp, and any complaints at https://www.cslb.ca.gov/onlineservices/checklicenseII/checklicense.aspx) Our warranty company set up the service request and work order with Billy's, then they called me to schedule. All on Friday, after the first company's failed attempt at clearing the clog. I spoke to Susanne (or Susanna) at Billy's and my technician was Sebastian A. They scheduled for Monday between 12p & 3p. Sebastian showed up promptly by 2:20pm and I received a text about his arrival 10 minutes prior. That was nice. My husband and I are immune compromised, so I asked Sebastian to wear a mask and booties and he gladly did so. I explained the situation and he got busy; he was very methodical. First he checked to see where the entire backup was in the bathroom; he checked the shower, toilet and sink, which did back up, and he did think it was a clog and went to address that first. Sebastian went outside and to check the main line through the access, which he confirmed was clear, but did have some water sitting in it from the clog in the bathroom. He then went into the bathroom and worked very hard to open our access there, which was painted over; the first company didn't even bother with that access, they said they could not be snaked from the bathroom. Well, Sebastian got it open and snaked the through the bathroom access, constantly checking the sink, toilet and shower for the backup. All of sudden, the water in the shower drained and you could hear a 'swoosh' of all the water draining underneath. He cleared the clog! And by the way, every single time Sebastian went outside, he put his booties back on before coming in, he kept his mask on, and he put a cloth down on the floor in the bathroom; he also covered the snaking machine with a plastic garbage bag I supplied, so he could cover it and not drip through the house on the way out. Every step was methodical, meticulous and professional. The first company did none of that, and, did not communicate or explain anything; Sebastian answered ALL my questions and explained everything. Now our pipes are cast iron and old and will need replacing eventually, but for now, he was able to get everything cleared and functional, without jack hammering and digging up our foundation inside the house (which would have been a huge unexpected inconvenience and expense), and for our warranty company's service fee of $85! I really wanted to cry with relief! Thank you Susanne, Sebastian and Billy's Plumbing and Rooter for being meticulous, putting first things first, not giving up because of a stubborn access, and being honest about our options!
