After hearing about this place offering "the best wings in town," I had to try them out. We ordered carry-out yesterday - ordered the garlic parmesan (my favorite), myong (second favorite), and honey bbq (a close third place). My friends and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat before the movies. We were searching around the area and saw great reviews for Billy's Tavern. When we walked in the place was filled with people, but however, our wait was not long at all. We waited no more than 15 minutes which we were surprised because this seemed like the place to be on a Friday night. When you walk in the restaurant is like an old school sports bar with multiple TVs, showing different sporting events, and nostalgic decor which I personally love. When we walked in, we met a friendly host who took us to our table and then we met our very helpful waitress. She gave us some great suggestions being our first time here. We ordered the Buffalo wings, Myoung house special wings with french fries, and the fried shrimp basket. Everything came out hot, and tasted amazing. Our wings were fried perfectly, and the sauces were top-tier! The myoung sauce is like Asian garlic teriyaki sauce. The fried shrimp were fried to perfection where it was still juicy but crispy. The portion sizes were great, I had enough food to take home and eat the next day. It's a great steeler's themed bar with TV's outside & inside. We sat outside, and I was pretty happy to have a great view of the Gator game on TV. The food was really good, and I would go back again for the pizza & nachos. My parents are OBSESSED with these nachos! They say they are the best nachos they've ever had & literally only brought us here BECAUSE of the nachos. So our server was pretty great, Chanel. She was attentive and friendly, and when my friend complained about the fatty blt, Chanel offered to get her a new one. The bacon was so fatty that she couldn't eat any of it. Also, the food took forever. There were 3 'large' parties to blame, and the cooks were down to two, as the other two went on break at the same time!! Enough said about that. My Bleu cheese burger was very good with mediocre cole slaw . But the garlic twists were excellent. Thank God we got those as we would have starved without some kind of appetizer... hopefully,. my friend will have a better outcome item next time. read more

Welcome Pittsburgh Steelers fans! Really if you love sports in general,the Pittsburgh Steelers or otherwise Billy's is definitely the place for you everyone. This sports bar has been in the Davie area for quite some time and it is basically an institution. Billy's is pretty laid back and is decorated in hard core sports fashion. Imagine yourself walking in to a shrine to the Pittsburgh Steelers and that pretty much sums it up. Truthfully quite a bit of Steelers memorabilia but lots of other cool sports items and plenty of TVs to boot as well. Like to get your drinks on while overdosing on sports? Well no worries on that front as they got you covered. The mixologist at the bar is serving up great drinks and plenty of bottled and draft beer as well. All the bar tenders and staff are super nice and always helpful. For food you can expect all your usual American sports bar fare including my personal favorite which are Perogies, which are delicious Ukrainian potato filled dumplings. Seriously, you cannot get these at to many places so if you have never tried Perogies give it a shot. That said, you cannot go wrong with anything with the menu at Billy's as the food is awesome all the way around. They have a little something for everyone really. They get very busy at lunch time so you may want to get there early on weekdays but no worries on the parking as they are located in a strip mall right off of State Road 84 and their is quite a bit of it. I'm going to go with 5 stars for this place, every time that I've been here the food has been great as well as the service. I've tried the wings here, the burgers, the onion rings, the homemade clam chowder, the pierogies and the fried shrimp basket and I cannot complain about anything I've had. The only misstep for me was I ordered a tuna melt once and it's not made with solid white tuna so it was a bit too fishy for me. It wasn't a problem though my husband took it home for lunch the next day. I especially like the fried shrimp, they are hand breaded at the restaurant. The batter is very light and not covered with a lot of spices so you really get to taste the flavor of the shrimp. The pierogies are amazing and the burgers and wings are not to be missed. The restaurant is huge inside but you can also choose to sit outside. It's a great place to watch the games as there are several big screen tv's. I highly recommend Billys trust me you won't be disappointed with your visit here! read more

I have driven by this place a hundred times never stopped tho. My husband wanted to try it and boy am i happy we did. Parking was not a problem plenty of spaces in the parking lot. we were so warmly greeted at the door and sat immediately in a comfortable booth. There is also a bar if you would rather have bar seating.The place was clean and smelled clean too! Our waitress came over in just a few minutes took our drink order and returned promptly with our drinks and took our food orders, Ok, so the food was amazing! We ordered several things to try. we had pierogies, onion rings, regular curly fries {they have 2 kinds} and last but not least new england clam chowder, The pierogies are made in house and were cooked to perfection, practically melt in your mouth, The onion rings were by far the best i have had in a very long time and what a big portion! Loved the curly fries again cooked perfectly and the flavor was pretty darn good. As a single person who frequents restaurant/bars all over South Florida and even though its closer to my home, I will drive 20 minutes in any direction from my home to go to ANY other establishment. My experience lasted from 430pm to 650pm. A sandwich and 2 drinks. A bartender who served a "local" next to me 3 drinks and food in less time. I blame myself for not walking out when I waited at the bar for 15 minutes just to be acknowledged when I entered. We came back to see Gina, and to get the meatballs. They were delicious. Nicely spicy. We are going to take some home. Our pups were welcomed and they had a doggie burger, that they split. It was a good size and obviously, they loved it. My Valentine had the cheesesteak, shaved prime rib, peppers, mushrooms and provolone. Who doesn't like a great cheesesteak sandwich! I really love Billy's Tavern. I feel grateful it is close to where I live so I can go there whenever I want. We love to eat outside there and fortunately they have a big outdoor eating area. In particular I love their famous fish and chips. Instead of having the chips I opted to have a Caesar's salad instead and they go together wonderfully in my opinion. But more on their wonderful fried fish. It just so happens that I live very close to an excellent seafood place that serves wonderful fried fish that I also order with salad. So when we started going to Billy's Tavern, I was reluctant to try theirs because I honestly believed it would pale in comparison. It just goes to show you how wrong you can be and why you should never stop trying new things. Billy's Tavern fried fish is dramatically better. The staff here is incredibly good in my opinion. I've been coming here for years!! I love all the staff!! I am extremely happy every time we come here. This is our go to spot on Tuesdays for there pizza and pitcher of beer special (dinner time only). We have two fav ladies we LOVE to sit with!! First off our go to girl is Natalie. Miss Natalie has been our girl for about 6 years now. Myself and my girls absolutely love her!! Her energy, knowledge, passion and love she has to servings us and others. Billy's Tavern in Davie is well know for their burgers and their chicken wings. The most amazing menu item by far is the Grueben sandwich. We came back for the Grueben less than a week after having tried it for the first time. It's a piece of fried fish on rye bread with cheese and thousand island dressing. It comes with fries, coleslaw or potato salad. I am impressed with their coleslaw. It's light and fresh with little mayonnaise. The sandwich is one of the best fish sandwiches that I've ever had. We tried the creamy clam chowder too. It has a unique flavor. We kept trying to identify it as Old Bay. They definitly start with bacon instead of salt pork. The famous myong wings were just as good as so many others have noted. It was similar to teriyaki with garlic. I'd like to try the hot wings with garlic next time. By far Billy's is a great sports bar that does food right. I was amazed at how the staff handled the weekend crowd with people sitting inside, outside, at the bar and in a room near the pizza oven. Having lived in Florida 24 years and never tried this place. Found it on Yelp and was glad we gave it a try. Lots of locals on a weeknight. Birthday party combined with lockbox was great! Communicating with Kelly about space, ordering, planning was seamless and easy. Day of was more of the same with a private room for our party Would've been nice to have an extra server since there was more than 20 people.... Food was exactly what the kids and adults wanted & needed. Pizza, wings, bar food and munchies. Drinks were plentiful but again, somewhat of a delay given only one server. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner on a weekday. It was nice so we sat outside and unfortunately there was a table that decided to pull out some cigarettes at the end of their meal before we started.... I've gone to this restaurant a handful of times, and each time I find myself enjoying it more. Today I called them with a BIG request, as one of my students was going there for his birthday dinner. Samantha answered the phone and made sure that she'd get the message through. She sent him a bowl of ice cream and a note from his teacher (me), and he could NOT believe it.
