5 stars all day long for Rob. Finding a honest, trustworthy mechanic is tough, and Rob meets those qualities. I needed motor mounts replaced on my 2012 528, and the dealer was going to charge me a fortune, noting they "weren't sure that would fix the vibration issue entirely." I called Rob who helped me over the phone and had me come in for a look. Rob gave me the honest assessment of what needed to be done; the issue was fixed in 24 hours at a fraction of the cost of the dealer. I couldn't be happier. Rob also made some suggestions for future items that may need attention, thoroughly explaining why he was making such suggestions. After being ripped off for over 3 years at Bavarian Performance Specialists, I finally had enough. I have a 2002 BMW 325i. I am the original owner & am meticulous about service & oil changes. The car has 208,000 miles on it, but it is in pristine condition, inside & out. However in the past 6 months it just wasn't performing like my car. It just didnt have the power it used to. Was it finally time fir a new one? After replacing the fuel pump TWICE in 6 months atvBavarian PS, I was done with them. So I took a chance & went to Rob, who I found was very highly rated on YELP. The 1st thing Rob saw was that the filter had not been changed in a very long time, it was filthy. How can that be it I had just taken it in the month before to BPS? Rob opened up on a Saturday, just to accommodate me & ran some diagnostics. I was ready to get rid of the car. Rob said no, the car is fine & probably has another 200,000 miles on it. He changed the filter & the car performed beautifully & passed all the diagnostics. A simple filter! He could have really ripped me off too. He did say however that he could not believe that BPS would put in a rebuilt fuel pump in my car! Twice! And charged me for a brand new one. I also bought a brand new Bosch battery last year from BPS & a week later had to call AAA because the car wouldn't start . The AAA guy immediately said the battery was too small for the car. I had paid BPS full price for proper battery! BPS is crooked beyond belief. It's a matter of pure greed. In any event, I am so thankful to have found Rob. It's not a matter if cost when you go to a mechanic, it's a matter of trust. Well, I just bought a new BMW 428i & gave my 325i to my son who will drive it for the next 200,000 miles & will continue to take it to Rob for service. My 2012 535I M-Sport went out of warranty in December. So, it figures that I would have an electronic issue with the car a mere 3 months after the warranty expired.
