I took my 2017 330e to Bimmers in Alpharetta after being quoted an out-of-budget number by the dealership. I knew going in that it was a complicated problem with the hybrid battery that needed an expert. Chris, the shop manager, did everything he could to solve my issue. He kept in constant contact, letting me know at every step what was happening with my car. He never spoke down to me. He worked with me throughout the process. He was genuinely concerned with my issue, especially considering the problems had very expensive solutions. In the end, they were not able to fully repair the car. It wasn't their fault in any way -- the hybrid battery was exhausted -- but they did everything they could to help me without breaking the bank. Chris is an outstanding mechanic and a genuinely good guy. Bimmers is lucky to have him running the shop, and customers can count on Chris and his crew to care for the car like they own it. I had to get rid of that 330. I loved driving it, and I was sad to see it go. But if I ever get another BMW, I will forego the pompous "customer service" at the local dealership for the friendly and caring staff at Bimmers in Alpharetta. read more

I bought my first BMW in November 2025 and as everyone knows, getting a good mechanic that charges reasonably and does great work is hard to find in the german car world. I researched and narrowed down to 3, then to Bimmers Service. Attraction - great waiting room, glass wall to the mechanic bays, and a door that actually goes from the lobby directly into the shop. I have had a few service things done here and every time, i talk to the mechanic directly, they go out of the way to make sure communication is there on everything being done and that you are happy with the process. The service guys in the waiting room - great guys, friendly and knowlegeable. One other thing - I have run into some customers that have been going here for YEARS - that's always a good sign. I had my brake fluid light come on and wnated to aboid the dealership prices. This place was good about giving me the price over the phone, as opposed to other third party shops who wanted me to come in. I was also able to make an appointment and get in within a few days. When I arrived, check in was easy as there was someone ready to help me inside the office. From there, I filled out some short paperwork and gave them my keys. I then went into the "office" area of the waiting room. I call it this because this area has a few long bars to work at, outlets, and strong wifi. The other area of the waiting room I'll call the "living room" as it has couches, chairs and a TV. I'm sure the wifi is strong there as well. There is a small fridge with waters and about an hour later, which they quoted me, my car was ready to go! They had topped off my coolant too! Several months ago, I was informed by Addison, who's very rude and lacks soft skills and considerations around customer service, that my left and right thrust rods were cracked and needed repair. I decided to have them repaired but before doing so my wife suggested I get a second opinion. We ultimately took the car to BMW who confirmed the thrust rods were cracked but also stated they did not require repair because they were not leaking. I questioned the service manager and he stated he would replace them if I wanted, but it was well within the range of normal wear, based on their rubber composition, and that they currently posed no issue to the operation of the vehicle. I thanked him I'm home now wondering how many times I've been quoted and paid for repairs at BIMMERS that were absolutely unnecessary, and I'm aware that the company I trusted with servicing my vehicle has misled me. I called in yesterday for an oil change and they were able to fit me in. I went here because Sports Motoring was booked and when I googled "mini cooper oil change atlanta" this was one of the better results with a discount. Usually an oil change for a mini is $70-80 bucks, here they do it for $50, sold! Nice guys. Clean shop. Beautiful wood floors and big man leather couches and work areas and mini fridge stocked with drinks. I took a star off because the man said they would do a full complimentary inspection. Bullshit. I could tell he was just saying the words. Then i got my car back and i asked if there was anything else wrong with it. Uh durr. He said I could go for a drive with one of the mechanics to see. I know they are just trying to placate me bc the dude is NOT really giving me anything intelligent. Maybe i expect too much but i asked about an issue, and what he said was that it could be this or it could be that or maybe it could be this. So when my 2007 328i started running rough and the check engine light came on, I was expecting the worst. When the dealer wanted $160 just to look at the car I gave up and was lucky to find Bimmer's right down the street. I made an appointment for noon and was back on the street by 1:00. This is the best BMW Service Shop and Custom Shop I have ever been to. It makes the BMW dealership look like an amateur operation. World-class service, really clean shop, very professional, and fairly priced. What I liked: 1) Professionalism. Don who manages this location is really customer service oriented. Really good communicator and really cares about pleasing the customer. 2) First class work. They did some work on my 2014 M5 and I am a pretty demanding guy. Their work is first class. Their technicians are all BMW certified too. I really got the impression they knew what they were doing. 3) Very clean shop. This was literally the cleanest shop I have ever seen. It's cleaner than the Lexus dealerships service department which is also very impressive. 4) Nice waiting area. They have a large waiting area, with comfy leather sofas, and also a desk area if you want to work on your laptop or take phone calls. It was really quite a pleasant place to wait while the work was done. 5) Dealers for most top aftermarket parts including DINAN, Eisenmann, Akrapovic, etc. In fact I much prefer these guys over Performing Imports for DINAN. The Performing Imports guys charge more than the dealership, and they try to redirect you to obscure products that they have distribution rights for. This is definitely the preferred DINAN shop in north Atlanta from my perspective. 6) Pricing is quite reasonable and better than the BMW dealership. What they could do better. 1) Nothing. This place is awesome. I wish I could bring my car here for warranty and free service work. It's 10X better than the BMW dealership! read more

This place is awesome! I have a 2008 535i with a little more than 45K miles on it. After the warranty expired I was taking my car to another repair shop in the Roswell/Alpharetta area that specializes in German Car repair. I was (still am) pleased with their prices and service. No complaints. Anyway, I get an email reminder that my car is due for its 45K mile maintenance; I call to find out what it entailed and the approximate cost. I was quoted $704 for replacing spark plugs and filters. I call Bimmers to get an estimate: $304 for the plugs and $190 for the filters (but only if they needed replacing). I was all for saving $200, then I found out I was talking to Ervin who was formerly a Service Advisor at United BMW - he recognized my voice. So needless to say I made an appointment for service. To make an already too long story shorter, I got the plugs and filters replaced AND an oil change for...$469! (He misquoted the price of the plugs, b/c he thought I had a V8) I am more than pleased with the service my car received and have called everybody I know that has a BMW and recommended Bimmers. While I am cost conscious, I am also a stickler for service and as I said in the beginning these guys are awesome. read more

Took my 2010 Mini in for an oil change on 6/29/16. I usually go to the dealership but decided to give this place a try because it's down the street from my business. The oil change took about an hour. I drove my car less than 3 miles, then the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came on. WTF?!? That light wasn't on before I took my car there. I called them to let them know that I was bringing the car back. So I bring my car back and wait in the lobby. One of the mechanics comes in and tells the receptionist what to tell me. I don't know why he didn't come over himself and tell me because I was sitting right there. The mechanic leaves and the receptionist calls me over and proceeds to recite what the mechanic told her to tell me. Gave me some BS about some part needing to be replaced because I went too long between oil changes. Why didn't they mention anything when they were doing the oil change? My car was perfectly fine before I brought it in for an oil change at Bimmers. I'm pretty sure they screwed up when doing my oil change and I ended up paying for it. A $50 oil change ending up costing me an additional $240 in repairs. I should have had my oil changed at the dealership like I usually do. Lesson learned. Took my car in because my brakes were squeaking. They called me 30 minutes later and told me that my brakes were fine & didn't need to be replaced for another 8,000 miles. They gave me a quick fix until they were due to be replaced and didn't charge me a thing! The fact they didn't replace something just because I brought it in amazes me! True customer service! Had my 04 m3 CEL come on. Took it straight to the bimmers shop to have it diagnosed. They took about a 15 min courtesy scan to see if they could figure it out. after about 20 min they recommended plugs & 1 coil. I was okay with that being that It was about time for that service anyway. CEL was still on with a misfire.(they did advise me this was a 1st step procedure) They took it back in the shop (still no diag charge) after about 40 min came back and told me they found the ignition wiring harness was defective. the parts & labor were way under what I expected!!. I was in and out in about 2 hours. I would of been there all day if I was at the dealer. highly recommended shop these guys are the real deal. on a side note they have a ps2 in the garage, ask about it! read more

I took my car for a prepaid inspection, they told the car needed nothing.. 3 days later When I took it to a BMW dealership (in another state) we found $4000.00 worth of leaks. I was having an issue with my 2011 328i. I took it to the dealership right down the street from Bimmer's and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong but they did offer to change out all of my plugs for almost a $1000 (and charged me $200 for a diagnosis). The issue persisted so I dropped my car off at the night drop for Bimmer's. I received an email the next morning stating they received the car and already had a tech on it. The car was ready by 11:30 AM and they accepted my extended warranty purchased through Carmax so all I had to pay was my deductible. The dealership down the road has officially lost all of my business and Bimmer's will now be my go to spot. read more
