Our group was enjoying a meal outside until an umbrella was pulled out of our table by the wind and fell onto one of my friends. The metal rod of the umbrella scratched her leg very bad and left bruising while making a deep scratch in her hand that was bleeding. The manager came over to ask if she was ok but then left and acting like the situation was not serious. She was in tears from the pain and nothing was done. No compensation, no apology, nothing. If it were to land on a child it would do way more damage. There are things done to prevent things like screwing the umbrella in. Even though it's understandable things like this happen the way that it was not taking care of properly by management or workers is extremely upsetting. Workers stood by just watching and did nothing. Will not be back! read more

Bin 612 is conviniently located in the heart of Starkville, The Cotton District. By day it's just a cute restaurant on the corner, and by night it's raging with loud (and probably irresponsible) college students. But hey, don't get me wrong, being a college student myself I see excitement in the craziness of a Tuesday night. 'The Bin' has the best veggie burner in town, it's made with red beans and rice and the french fries are seasoned perfectly. Also, their avocado appetizer is suggest! (By moi) :) I've never had any drinks from their bar, but they have a good variety of mixed drinks and beer, so anyone can find something that tickles their fancy. The servers are always been pleasant and attentive. However, the Bin is known for one thing, really. A big thing. Only at night past a certain hour do they open their walk up window. Sometimes there may be trouble driving by the bin in the late hours because of the line of eager and patient young adults waiting for the one thing that gives them life. Cheese. Fries. Yes, they should be awarded 'Best bar food in Stark' because they can make anyone happy. The warm queso drenched on the crispy fries is just enough to help the alcohol settle in your belly before bedtime. The staff are spectacular and friendly. 05. There is allot of room to sit in and outside. 06. There are TV's and music and DARTS. 07. There is a historical feel to the atmosphere. 08. It's perfect for socializing with friends or family. 09. It is in walking distance of MSU campus. 10. Great desert. 01. I've seen allot of folks with dogs there. They will even supply water for pets. If on a walk with the pets, ta a good place to make a stop to enjoy the day, or get out of the rain. 02. The food is superb. There are unique pizzas, salmon or chicken or normal salads, cheesy fries are epic. There is even a late night menu. 03. The bar is like many bars, with an arsenal of many kinds of alcoholic beverages. 04. The staff are very friendly, sociable and hard workers. I've seen them on some of the most busiest times, and they know how to accurately driver the goods to the guests despite the height of busy times. 05. There are seats inside, outside, front and back and all around. However, this place is so good that even its massive seating capacity is often filled. Who needs to sit anyway. 06. No need for seats when you can stand and watch TV over the seaters. Though, the music may drown out the TV, the music is usually very pleasant. Get tired of TV, there are two dart boards with high quality darts. A good game of darts, some drinks, good music, are a nice mix that is sure to leave an impression on you. 07. This place has a sense of history. It has been here for a long time. The bar table itself is one large piece. There are allot of doors that lead from the front to back. Ya almost like being in an old fashioned bar, with hardwood floors and tables. There are even wooden trap doors on the floors. It's like being in a movie, with hidden trap doors. If there was a carpet over them, very few would even be aware of them. 08. It's nice to bring friends, to get a meal and drinks and lounge around. The lighting is soothing for for dates. The temperature is usually comfortable for everyone. 09. It is within walking distance of MSU. It's in Main Street, in the middle of the district. It is easily Accessable and is strategically placed for the best possible convince for students and residents of the Cotton District. And you can't miss it as you drive by, there is a big black sign near the height of the stop sign that says in white letters "BIN|612." 10. The deserts are spectacular. Just, don't try to skillet cookie. Those are extremely nasty and yucky and all that nonsense in between. I'll save all of you the pain of eating those and will take on the burden of eating ALL of those, cause I can easily tolerate those all day. (Ok, you can all collectively share ONE. Considered one of the larger bars by college students in this town, the inside bar can seat maybe 8 people and there is nothing on draft, simply bottles. A Moscow mule came in a clear class with almost no liquor and what tasted more like "lemonade with a hint of ginger beer". The bar tenders are not very good. The cheese fries what were all the locals told us to get and while good they were small and over priced for what was given. Also "cheese fries", barely had much cheese. A quaint little place. Seating is also first come, first served. While luckily someone got up as we came in, it let to a stalking approach by other patrons. When almost everyone had eaten, people hovered near by watching and waiting to jump and get the table when we got up. This led to feeling rushed and not able to enjoy the moment. While not incredible it was still a nice experience overall. P.S. there not much parking around, we had to walk a few blocks and the District was basically empty read more

Very nice place and the food was good. Pizza was great and the south west burger was very good. The best part was the staff. Our waitress was very helpful and very nice. The bar tender was so fun. He told us jokes all night and must have known 100's of Ole Miss jokes. Ask him about the two guys from Ole Miss that walked into a bar caring a monkey. That one cracked us up for an hour! read more

We ordered takeout and got the oh-so pleasant surprise of a ridiculous outrageous "takeout" fee of 20%! So two cheesesteak sandwiches with tax ended up being almost $40! I figured these sandwiches better be God's gift to philly cheese. But they were terrible. Meat was dry. Vegetables over cooked and thus imperceptible. Fries were floppy like under-cooked frozen fries. Bread was hard. I would have been better off with a foot long from Sonic. Utter waste of money. read more

Great place to eat in Starkville! Very convenient for college students to drive or walk from campus for a great meal. Small dining area inside but has a nice patio to eat and view the Cotton District. The food is cooked to your preference and really delicious! Hey not bad for Starkville. On a Saturday night, it wasn't overly packed, but being that it was a game day that afternoon, the place looked like it had its fair share of crowds earlier on. The beer list was pretty good with a few Mississippi beers and everything was about $4.50, though I wish they had some on draft and not just cans and bottles. I had the Farmers Pizza which was essentially a cheese pizza with lettuce and a vinaigrette. Good flavor, though the lettuce was piled in the center, so I ended up eating it more like a salad and then a cheese pizza afterward. The menu consists of burgers, paninis, pizzas, and appetizers (curious about those avocado fries). There is a bar that seats around 7 people, and a few TVs playing different games. Nothing overly impressive, but that's not to say I wouldn't be opposed to going back. read more

Used to love the bin. Great location. Good food. But the freaking flies all over the place are gross. Whether you sit inside or out, there are flies everywhere landing on your food. Constantly having to swat them away. Not worth it going there. I can go anywhere else in Starkville to eat and not deal with that. It's just nasty. I really love the openness of this place; when it's open, the doors in the front and back are wide open giving it a cool feeling. The food is just OK for me. I've never had issues, it's just unremarkable and leaves some to be desired. Drink choices are solid, prices are fine. I would come here more for the outdoor seating, chilling with friends, more so than going to get a good bite. I think the Bin serves its purpose. read more

Had to send the Shrimp Tacos back because they were loaded with seasoning salt. They brought a new order out and it was exactly the same. I sent it back and asked for the bill. The doorman just snapped my friends ID in half and said its a fake. He's 30. We all just finished working in the sun at a track meet all day and just wanted a few dozen beers. The doorman was rude, saying "I know fakes from SC and they don't just snap like that." (The rest of us stared in shock, not believing it actually happening.) Too bad it's a legit ID that is now wrecked. Hopefully the TSA will still allow him to use it to fly home this weekend. The Bin is awesome!!! The food is incredible especially the gourmet pizzas and the paninis! They have awesome specials, on rainy days pizzas are 1/2 off and their happy hour is incredible! They have additions to their menu! Campus Special has a coupon here for buy an entree and get an appetizer for free! This is one of my favorite places in Starkville to eat and have drinks! Great little spot near campus! We came in for a quick lunch and decided to split two sandwiches since it was our first time here. We ordered the shrimp poor boy and the steak sandwich. Both were excellent! The shrimp was cooked very well with great seasoning on super soft white bread. The steak sandwich had an excellent smoky flavor, the caramelized onions and blue cheese really made it awesome! Last but not least, the fries that came with the sandwiches come seasoned and are really really good! My only criticism is the ketchup, I know it's silly, but it had high fructose corn syrup in it. The only reason I point this out is because Bin 612 is clearly concerned with serving locally sourced high quality food and serving ketchup with HFC sort takes away from that image. This is a great place with a very eclectic building. It sits in the middle of the cotton district, just off the MSU campus. The building is hard to describe, but very well suited for it's purpose. There is outside seating in the front and in the back and I believe they also have an upstairs area. The crowd will be a mix of Starkville locals, college groups, and business travelers. The college kids are there to drink and eats appetizers, but I have not found them to be loud or rude. I usually sit at the bar when I go, which is every 2 to 4 months. The regular bar tender is very knowledgeable about the menu, the drnks, and the area. He will keep the conversation going without having to be the center of attention. I have had the gourmet pizza, the pork chop, and also a panini on different occasions. All have been top notch. The pizza will rival what I have had in Italy and Brazil. My favorite is the pork chop. The price is reasonable, it is always juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of sautéed spinach. Normally I would pay to NOT eat spinach, but this stuff is great! It also comes with another side. I have had a baked sweet potato or a side of blue cheese grits. The grits are amazing. read more
