Bin 612 is good...average. The atmosphere, location and options for food and drink are good. The average family will have a great experience here. For clean eaters: almost everything is loaded with salt so beware. Staff are college/grad schoolers who are working hard but they are still kids--I've heard crude language from wait staff and they always have friends in the place. read more

Just had the Italian sandwich at The Bin 612 and it was HORRIBLE. I took one bite of it and immediately sent It back and the manager told me that I still had to pay for something I did not eat, and was less than mediocre in taste. I had always seen the commercials on the local Starkville Channel and wondered what all the fuss was about. My friend Ebony came up for a visit and it seemed the perfect excuse to go out to dinner, so out we went. I had the Salmon and she had the Pizza......this is now the restaurant that she wants to go to every time she comes up here. The salmon was not overcooked and the seasonal vegetables were roasted to perfection. The Balsamic reduction was also a very nice touch. Ebony loves the pizza so I guess its all good on that side too. The dining room itself is very small, but there are outdoor seating options and the bar is right in the dining room. read more

This is my favorite place in Starkville...hands down. Everything that I've ordered has been great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The Bin is the first place that I recommend to any out of town friends. It's got a small bar with dartboards inside, or you can sit on the patio and people watch. They are dog friendly, so that is always a plus in my book! read more

The cheese fries are to die for! If you go in the afternoon to the restaurant, they put a buffalo chicken breast on top. I love this place!

I've been all over the place and ate pizza. This is the best pizza in the entire world to me!!! Right in Starkville!!

My experience was a 5 for sure! I highly recommend the Chop! Porkchop was moist and juicy, the garlic sautéed spinach was not over cooked, and the sweet potato was smashable. I also split the baked avocado appetizer...it was like a lemony guacamole with chopped up artichoke hearts in it with cheese on top then baked. It doesn't sound appetizing but it was pretty tasty! Very cute place for lunch and good location. My only complaint was that the pizza was VERY greasy, but it was super tasty!

If you like lots of flies with your food, this is the place to go. The food was horrible. I was in town for the day to take my grandson to lunch. We went in, sat down, more flies than people. Should have left but he was really hungry, we stayed, never again. We ordered nachos and philly steak, he said the steak was good, the nachos were horrible. the waitress got the check wrong, had to correct that, tea was not good. I should have taken the hint when we walked in but did not. Whew, will never go back! read more

My husband and I along with our son and a friend were dining at the Bin on Friday, October 17th, when our meal was abruptly interupted by the manager who flung a plate of fries at my husband because "He had hurt his girlfriend's feelings.". Apparently, our waitress was his girlfriend, whom my husband had told that he didn't want spicy fries when his meal arrived but kept them anyway. The "manager's" behavior was so unsettling, that we paid for our food and left before we finished our meal. As a customer, I have never been so horrified by such uncalled for and rude behavior from management. This was our first time to visit the Bin, and needless to say, our last. Certainly don't want to hurt the girlfriend's feelings again. Who knows what will be in our food next time. Sheila C. read more

Cool spot overlooking University drive. Got the bin burger and stuffed avocado. The appetizer was fantastic, the burger not so much. Seemed like it was rushed in prep and wasn't quite done. The drinks the bartender dished out made up for it though. I'd still recommend it to any new Starkville visitors. read more

This was our first visit and we were happy to get an outside table. Great way to people watch and enjoy nice weather. Unfortunately, the waitstaff had some kind of "miscommunication" and no one came to our table for 20 minutes, although tables all around us were being served. We had an unbussed table with the paid check still on it, but no one noticed. I brought it to the attention of a nearby waitress and within minutes we had a waitress. She was very nice and very apologetic. So no minus stars for that - mistakes happen. We had the $2 screwdriver special which was so good with fresh squeezed juice. For lunch we had shrimp poorboys - one with the cheese fries and one with cream cheese grits. The sandwiches were loaded with fried shrimp and very good. The cheese fries were good - but I probably wouldn't order them twice. We ordered shrimp & avocado. They had to sub bacon as they ran out of avocado. It was a nice side of crinkle fries, sprinkled with dry rub, lightly queso'd and a splash of sriracha topped with crumbled bacon and sauteed shrimp. I thought they were fine but not amazing - think it was the dry rub that I didn't like, but everyone around us was ordering them, so most people must like them. All in all, it was a good meal. On a pretty day, this is a nice place to sit outside, enjoy a meal, and bring a dog if you have one. read more
