Bingsu bingsu serves Korean shaved ice & dessert, but I honestly think it's more of a fusion take than the traditional. The signature bibim bingsu was tasty but quite busy for it to be a traditional bingsu. A traditional bingsu is more like shaved ice, red bean, fruits (mainly strawberry/kiwi), mochi, and a scoop of ice cream. With the addition of the brown sugar and grass jelly, it tasted like a whole different dessert. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but just a little deceiving with the "signature bingsu" title. I would still come here to eat it again, though! read more

Craved sweets after lunch and saw this spot. The decor looked cute and so did the photo of the soft serve ice cream, so I tried it out. A very disappointing soft serve--if you can even call it that. The texture is not creamy whatsoever. It didn't seem like it was made with cream at all, probably low fat milk because my lactose intolerance kicked into overdrive. I was looking forward to the opening of bingsu and definitely wasn't disappointed! The presentation of the dessert is beautiful and clean and the dessert was so light and refreshing!! The fruit purée and fruit toppings were very fresh. The ice was soft, and the side toppings (almonds, mochi, and lightly sweet milk) were ideal. We shared 1 bingsu for 2 and we felt it was perfect without feeling full. Looking forward to returning to try more flavors and continue eating more!! read more

I'm a pretty big fan of bingsu or shaved ice in terms of dessert. I've been here twice now and both times were great. Definitely keep in mind in terms of portion size, one will totally fill up 2-3 people in terms of dessert so plan accordingly. We got the matcha red bean bingsu and the mango bingsu; both were good. They have the condensed milk containers on the side as well for sweet tooths out there who want to drizzle it on top of their bingsu. The sweetness wasn't overwhelming and the texture of the bingsu was great and not as icy as other bingsu places that I've tried. Service was relatively quick and we got our bingsu within 5 minutes of our order time, but that could be because the place was relatively slow during the time we visited. Definitely a nice place and environment to catch up with a friend or just share a dessert with someone. The taiyakis were great too! read more

The bingsu and taiyaki were delicious! I got a small mango strawberry bingsu and the mozzarella and custard taiyaki. The fruits on the bingsu tasted pretty fresh and sweet which was nice with the slightly sweet ice. The presentation is a lot better too since the last time I came. The taiyaki is still nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy in the inside. Definitely great to visit if you're craving something cold. read more

It is a small but fun sit-down bingsu cafe. Staff were kind and helpful. The signature bingsu had a generous portion and lots of toppings!! which I enjoyed. You can add as much condensed milk as you like! Their taiyaki comes in a lot of flavor options. We had never heard of jalapeño and cheese taiyaki but to our surprise it was great. we were excited to hear about this new bingsoo spot in the arcadia mall and decided to try the mango strawberry bingsoo, but it was honestly nothing too special. the fruit was very fresh and sweet, but the ice itself wasn't as flaky and soft as i would have wished for it to be. however, it was still quite refreshing for the hot summer day and would definitely be down to try it again! read more

saw an advertisement for this new place and it seemed pretty cute and good desserts. a cute little shop owned by a married couple the inside is cute, simple, however pretty humid. seems like no AC is ran inside the building. simple menu but a lot of flavors to choose from with bingsoo, ice cream, and tayaki. got the crunchy peanut butter and custard tayaki, and was pretty good. standard tayaki with multiple selections of flavors. didn't get to try the bingsoo but it looked pretty good when other people ordered it. if you want dessert and your walking inside the santa anita mall, this place is worth a try to support the small business ! read more

FOOD: My goodness, spending $17 total for 7 taiyaki was a rip off. - We tried the Custard taiyaki x5 ($12) and Sweet corn taiyaki x2 ($5); OVERPRICED for bad taiyaki. I did not try the bingsu so I cannot speak on that, but the taiyaki was so tiny with absolutely no filling. My family member could not even tell what flavor the custard taiyaki was and thought they were just eating the chewy batter. When I cut open the sweet corn flavor, I kid you not, each half of the taiyaki only had one corn kernel... - We ordered it for togo and they don't even have a togo box available for the taiyaki, it's just put in a small round container so it's misshapen when you get home. SERVICE/AMBIANCE: New store, so it's clean, and there is ample seating available. We came on a Friday afternoon around 4 PM and although there weren't many people, it took almost 20 minutes to get our order. I was a bit confused because multiple people who ordered taiyaki after us received their orders before we did. OVERALL: I would never come here again. It is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for what it is. Originally, I wanted to come back and try the bingsu, but I am so put off by the taiyaki that I will go somewhere else to get bingsu. read more

Try at your own expense bc it will definitely be love at first bite. Earlier today, my friend and I shared the strawberry mango bingsu and it was definitely a tasty treat. The ice is super soft and the fruits were just the right sweetness. The condensed milk is self-serve at no extra charge, which is such a perk! Every so often, we found ourselves swirling the milk atop our bingsu--delicious! Hours later, I'm back for the taiyaki and happy to say that this too is an awesome dessert. The taiyaki itself is crisp, not greasy, & hot (not scalding). The jalapeño cheese filling exceeded expectations--chunks of jalapeño strewn throughout for just the right amount of heat and flavor. The Nutella taiyaki anywhere never disappoints, including at this spot. Binsgsu Bingsu is definitely worth a visit, but be forewarned that it's addicting. Super cute space with ample seating and a lovely array of Korean desserts. I'll definitely be back!!! read more

Super yummy! My friend and I came by for a quick snack before dinner and got the strawberry mango flavor with mochi and almond toppings. The portion was definitely worth it and there's condensed milk on the side to add however much you want. I really liked how much fruit was given- they did not skimp at all and the texture of the bingsu absolutely melted in my mouth. It came out super quick and someone even checked up to see if it was to our liking! The interior was also so cute and colorful, with lots of seating. I wish I had the chance to try some of the tteokbokki or taiyaki but will def try some next time along with another flavor! read more

It was pretty empty when I went, around 7:30pm. My order was taken quickly and the server was very kind. The decor is very cute! I think everything would pop more if it was brighter. I got the strawberry soft serve and oreo soft serve. The soft serves are just vanilla with different toppings, it says it on the menu! The vanilla kind of tasted like it had too much vanilla extract but it was still cute and not too sweet! I also got a taiyaki with custard filling. OMG the breading is so goood! It was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and it didn't taste eggy! I didn't really like the custard filling but I want to try the red bean filling next time! The taiyaki took a little long to make, they only have 1 pan, it took around 15 minutes. I'm looking forward to the improvements they will make going forward. read more

Food - Got a matcha strawberry bingsoo. It was fine, it felt like very cheap bingsoo honestly. The shaved ice is not saturated in the flavors unlike other establishments (they take a squeeze bottle here and drizzle it on). You can find better elsewhere, but this is doable if you want a bingsoo fix. It's definitely cheap quality and on the expensive side though. Service and ambiance - Nice AC. Cute aesthetic. Small amount of tables. Honestly though, the review is at 2 stars for sanitary reasons. A customer let his small child stand barefoot on the counter where they serve the desserts. The child was standing barefoot, stomping around, and also sat down on the counter (in his shorts and diaper). It was grossly unsanitary. I understand that it's honestly the customer's (the father's) fault for even allowing his son on the food counter. But the workers and the manager didn't say a word, only looked on. Just be aware. The food was good but absolutely terrible service from the owner, Alex. We picked up strawberry bingsu even though we ordered mango and strawberry bingsu. We asked if it was ours and he told us we ordered strawberry. We didn't complain because maybe he didn't hear me. Turns out we were eating another customers order and when we found that out, he blamed us and got hostile for picking up another order, but he had told us it was ours? Why blame us for taking it when you confirmed it was our order?? After that, he tried blaming his own employee for his own wrongdoing. Such a shame bc the food was good but don't want to support a business who can't give a simple apology for saying the wrong thing. read more

Really cute and welcoming dessert shop near the Nordstrom at this mall! The ice in the bingsu was very fluffy and the house-made injeolmi was perfectly chewy. They also give you the bottle of condensed milk so that you can sweeten the bingsu to your liking! The taiyaki was very balanced with it being crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I shared an Oreo soft serve with my brother. We both liked it! The vanilla soft serve is light in flavor and not too sweet. It came with come corn flakes and chocolate on the bottom and lightly dusted with Oreo and Oreo pieces. Inside is clean and has a nice vibe. The location is in the promenade just right outside of the alley where din tai fung is. Service was quick and they're very nice. read more

My second time coming in a week! I love their signature bibimbingsu that comes in a traditional bibimbap bowl. Not sure if the fruits vary depending on the season, but the milk ice is topped with mochi, strawberries, kiwis, mangoes, coffee jelly, red bean, and thin wafer flakes. It comes with a side of condensed milk and almond slices. Their taiyaki is pretty yummy too! Unlike traditional Korean taiyaki that tends to be quite soft, the dough is crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside-- kind of like bubble waffles. read more

Like, even if it was store bought instant curry, the biggest thing about this, is the egg. If you ever tried to make Omurice yourself, you'll gain a full and proper appreciation of this dish. Egg, fried rice, curry, that's all there is to this, but... Getting that liquidty gooey-ness, I've had a hard time finding it anywhere else, and for that reason, this place gets 5/5. I'd caution my readers to level set their expectations for everything else, and also take note of just how many people have Omurice on their tables, if you don't have at least that, you're doing it wrong. There were already people waiting and a decently sized line began to form! Despite the growing crowd, the person who helped us was very friendly and encouraged us to try all the flavors if we wanted to. While we tried each flavor, she described each of its components in great detail - something I truly appreciated!! Everything was delicious but I personally ended up getting the Mango Sago and Vietnamese Coffee (probably would not mix the two next time lol but delicious individually). The mango sago tasted like fresh mangoes and reminded me of a rich high quality mango sorbet. SO. Good. The perfect summer treat! Vietnamese coffee tasted exactly like how the drink would taste, which I was honestly surprised about since coffee ice creams are flavored a bit sweeter than the actual drink. It was perfect for me but may not be everyone's cup of tea because it does have bitterness :) The ambiance in there is amazing - details in every cranny and nook of the space. It's retro and very chill / relaxing! There are a very limited amount of tables but I did see stacks of plastic stools for people to sit on outside. Also there's a coin machine where you can purchase lactaid. A small gesture keeping the community in mind haha.

Combined with the black sesame flavor, I got a delightful treat that was not too sweet and packed with incredible flavors. Toppings like the feuilletine, chamoy gummy bears and the haw flakes were wonderful and well thought, selected and crafted to bring out the best of their ice cream while evoking nostalgic memories of my childhood. What was most impressive was that the vibes of the store were absolutely immaculate. There's a Wong Kar-Wai-esque lighting in the store and the decor and seating lent itself to being a place a person could spend a lot of time in. Sky was outstanding, providing incredible service through evocative descriptions of each flavor and topping as she treated us to a full suite of samples. In this ice cream shop of wonders, there is soul and love that can be felt in everything.

6/7/2026 First time…read moreat Warabimochi Kamakura. WARABIMOCHI 12 PC MIX (2 FLAVORS) 6 PC KINAKO, 6 PC MATCHA The warabimochi is very soft and jiggly. Softer than boba, soft like jello, yet has that chewy, gooey texture. Not my favorite texture, but glad I tried it. I just saw that they had black sesame flavor too, but I was in such a rush, I must have missed it on the menu. Comes with a little bottle of brown sugar syrup, which is rich in brown sugar flavor and quite sweet too. When poured over the warabimochi, it does only taste like the brown sugar syrup. I would recommend that you eat the warabimochi with ice cream. I didn't order any at the store, but ate the ice cream I had at home. Choice of ice cream was Straus Family Creamery's Vanilla Bean. It didn't overpower the warabimochi flavors of the matcha or kinako, it simply added more creaminess and additional texture to the dessert. Also, you can get a firmer texture when you put the warabimochi in the fridge overnight, which I thought was much better and enjoyable to eat. HOJICHA CLOUD Very good hojicha flavor. But mostly it is cream. Hence, the name Cloud. I got it 100% sweetness and I asked for warabimochi pieces added to the drink. They give you a boba straw to drink. Warabimochi was very soft, light chewiness, cut into smaller pieces. The drink was very slightly on the sweeter side, but it's that or 50% sweetness level. There was a lot of ice in it, which means there's less hojicha drink too. Got it in medium size. Small size and medium size cost difference is 0.75 cents. Best to get a medium size. There's also a large size, which is much bigger in comparison to the medium. STRAWBERRY MATCHA CLOUD This had a good matcha and strawberry flavor all around. They also added warabimochi in this drink too. The matcha is a cream top and the rest is strawberries with milk. It tasted good and not overly sweet. This was 100% sweetness. Personally wished there wasn't any warabimochi in it, but it automatically comes with the drink. Did not realize there would be any in it too until after I ordered it. I would reorder the drinks. Maybe order one without warabimochi though. I would try their other drink offerings too. I haven't tried their black sesame warabimochi, so might return to try that one. CUSTOMER SERVICE Good, friendly customer service. Only two people working. Warabimochi came out first, then the drinks. Everything came out in order and quickly. LOCATION Located at Santa Anita Mall. First floor. At the food court. Across from Zumiez and Shoe Palace, Daniel's, Game Stop. Just follow the Food Court sign and you'll find it quicker. Trust me, some flavors hit on different days! The shop is in the famous Monrovia shopping area, which adds to the allure of visiting. On my recent visit, I was thoroughly impressed by their offerings, and I'm still daydreaming about the crispy taiyaki and matcha soft serve I indulged in. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm ambiance and friendly staff. It's evident that this spot is dedicated to quality and flavor. The taiyaki was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the creamy, rich taste of the matcha soft serve. Bingsu Bingsu serves up a delightful shaved ice experience that's as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. The staff's kindness enhances the visit, making you feel genuinely welcomed. The mango strawberry bingsu hits all the right notes, especially with the bonus of unlimited condensed milk.
