The unfortunate part is that the ice cream really isn't that good, and the portions are small for what you pay.  What really turned me off, though, was the lack of common sense from the staff. If you've been here, you know they have a display case with slices of cake and pie. Normally you look through the case and point to the piece you want. That's exactly what I did. There were about ten pieces of cake in the case, and I picked one that had the perfect icing-to-cake ratio. The employee asked what I wanted, and when I pointed to the slice she told me, "You can only pick from these two," while holding up two other pieces. Apparently those were the older slices that they were trying to get rid of. They were clearly smaller and, judging by how they were being pushed, probably not the freshest either. Since I was basically being forced to buy something I didn't want, I said I didn't want anything. She just said "okay" and moved on to help the rest of my family. At that point I told my family we were leaving and heading to Bloomfield Creamery in Altadena instead. The employee had every opportunity to use a little common sense and simply give me the slice I asked for. I work hard for my money, and if I'm paying premium prices, I expect to choose what I'm buying. Instead, they lost Madre family of customers for good.

On occasion, they will have promos on Instagram for discounts if you follow them, so we went for their father's day promo for a treat for the whole family!

This spot has Vegan and Non-Dairy options which is a HUGE plus. But the texture of the soft serve wasn't my favorite. The texture wasn't my favorite, it was more of an icy texture as oppose to a creamy silky texture which I would have preferred. I usually like the Oreo topping on my soft serve since it gives it a crunch, but it just didn't taste that good after a few bites. This soft serve was also a bit pricey, it was around $7 for the soft serve and topping, which was a bit disappointing since it wasn't that great. My friend also got their crunchy nut ice cream and didn't like it. I wish I liked this place more since they have Asian flavors but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. Maybe if they improve the texture of their soft serve, I would reconsider.

They offer monthly flavors along with some more original staples and lets be honest, with summer looming, knowing a great ice cream spot is always a must. At the time of my visit, I was hooked on the Strawberry Koldski which was inspired by the Danish roots and a mix of sweet and tart Strawberry. I got a double and I simply wanted more. My go to, is the Oreo and Cream which is one of the best Cookies and Cream variants I have ever had. Everyone is super nice and you can have tastings of the different flavors until you land on one. Trust me, some flavors hit on different days! The shop is in the famous Monrovia shopping area, which adds to the allure of visiting. It was my first Dubai Chocolate experience. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Overpriced fad if you want my opinion.

Some still in their original bulk packages. They have a wide selection of ice cream and paletas (popsicles). There were specific flavors such as snickers, Mexican hot chocolate, KitKat, and I saw an alcoholic one. A scoop of ice cream is 4.99$ and the pops I le is around 2$. The menu pricing was a bit cut off or blacked out on the end (see photos). There was only one staff helping us at the time. So we had to wait a bit but overall they have so much more than just candy and deserts. They have drinks, snacks, and sandwiches (jam only currently). Overall, it's just like any other michoacana stores. It was colorful, bright, clean, and has so much to select. The restroom was locked with a keypad but I didn't need to go so I didn't ask.
