The staff were super welcoming and even let us stay half an hour past close. We didn't realize until we saw the hours on the door! They offer 3 types of momos (Nepalese dumplings): Turkey, veggie, and lamb. I opted for one of their combo plates, which comes with 4 momos, a main, and rice. I got their turkey momos and rice. The momos were absolutely delicious and I loved their chicken in this scrumptious red sauce. Would 100% dine again and try their other options. I like the word "momo." It sounds like a hot new street drug or your fave anime character or your childhood pet who unexpectedly went to the country to live with relatives. But in this case, a momo is a dumpling stuffed with a variety of proteins. Bini's Kitchen is all about the momos and they have several kinds that you can order on combo plates with different types of curries. I like that they have chicken and vegetarian options along with rice. The plates are huge and more than enough for two normal appetites. The curries were very tasty and although I'm not really into momos, you should definitely try them because they just might be your jam! Now that mango lassi though, I'd come back daily for that! How many cities can you visit and say, "Gee, I feel like Nepalnese or Himalayan food tonight"? Not sure how to describe this review as I've actually tried their food several times before dining here, their first brick and mortar location. Being a regular Ferry Farmers Market shopper, I stopped at their Saturday market stand on the driveway and wrote a less than raving review of their stand. I was expecting a XLB experience, given the visual similarities of the momos to that. Fast forward to early this year and, frequenting Oracle Arena regularly for basketball games, I had a second opportunity to enjoy their menu at their club level stand. I really enjoyed my meal but never had the time to comment since it was short lived. Fast forward two months later, I took my coworker a block away from my office here for a late weekday lunch. I had a broader view this time in ordering from the Khana section of their menu (combination plates). About halfway through my meal, I recognized the gentleman who worked the Oakland stand and vice versa as the staff were having lunch. I complimented him on their food and asked whether they would resume the stand for other events there (unfortunately no). I got couple of items delivered through DoorDash - one lunch combo with turkey momo, rice and cauliflowers, one Quati (9 bean soup) and one Nepali roti. My favorite from all these are the cauliflowers. It was well spiced ands cooked very well, not too soggy with a right amount of crunch. Turkey momo was a bit dry and had a uniform lump of meat, similar to a chicken nugget texture which I wasn't a big fan of. However, the tomato sauce that came with it was divine. It has the perfect amount of tomato sourness with a very flavorful sichuan pepper (timur) taste. Quati was quite flavorful but I wish it had a bit more soup as well. It was packed with beans with little soup. Lastly, the roti was made with whole wheat which was on the healthier side but it was a bit tough and had a lot of oil or ghee. I'm a fan of momos! They're essentially like dumplings but Nepalese style. I recommend the lamb momos if your a fan of lamb as a meat. Super flavorful and filling. The order looked really small at first but is actually very filling. I didn't try myself but the platter combos my coworkers ordered looked really delicious. You can mix and match up to three different meats and also choose which momos you want to try. They also have veggie and turkey. For the first time I went to this place. I went with a little morkie which Is 2 pound. Was just standing to make order. The women there came extremely rude with her hand pointing me and my dog out. She could have been nice and ask me to leave. Never ever go there. Also for the whole time when I made order, she was there waiting for my payment and didn't said anything and as soon as I was done with paying, she came and almost tried to push me as well. She was waiting for money. The food made me sick as well. Already pre made food and they just heat it and pack it. These women's there lack humanity. Incompetent group of women. This place is my new obsession. It's not in a great location, but definitely worth a visit. My only regret is only getting 4 momo. I got the eggplant, chicken, and turkey momo and wow I was not expecting it to be so delicious for a random little place I just happened to pass by on a walk. The Turkey momos are my favorite as well as the cauliflower sautée. Vegan and omnivore options available. The staff is always friendly and efficient, and you can see the pride and care they put into sharing delicious Nepalese cuisine with customers in the Bay Area. Their shelter-in-place momo special (50 frozen with sauce) is super affordable and makes cooking at home easy and delicious. While I long for the days when we can return to the restaurant in SOMA or the corner shop on Market, I am so grateful to get to enjoy these momos from the comfort of home. When I'm in SF, I try to stack up on as many different types of Asian eats as I can get. Nashville has come a long way (food-wise) in the past six years but it still lags behind bigger cities when it comes to the depth and breadth of its Asian cuisine bench. I had a mission and I was intent on finishing it. I couldn't remember if I'd had Nepalese food before and it was a short walk from my hotel and this location was relatively new and very well-reviewed so... yeah. Nepalese food for lunch, it was. I didn't know much about Nepalese food but with it bordering India and China, I bet on a combo on the cuisines. Sure enough, the plates looked familiar what with curries and dumplings. I was hoping the dumplings (momo) were gluten-free but, alas, they weren't. Being that I didn't have the time to recover from an initial glutening, I forwent eating them but I was sad about it. The menu lends itself to combos. Ordering a la carte is a bit of a f00l's errand. I ordered the Gurka chicken Ledo Bedo (main plate) which was a type of curry chicken. However, the order was just the chicken. A rice order (necessary) was almost as expensive as the protein. Compare this with the combo meal of two ledo bedos and four momo's for a dollar less than the price of one ledo bedo and rice. The aforementioned combo comes with rice. Don't do what I did. Save money and get more food. To their credit, I received a plate of (saffron? tumeric? it was yellow) basmati rice and a large cup of chicken curry. I was very full and quite satisfied when I eventually pulled back from the table. I couldn't quite put my finger on the spice profile. Salt was the dominant flavor but the sauce/gravy was not unpleasant. I wouldn't characterize it as spicy, either. I paired my food with a mango lassi that was served cold and immediately from the counter. It wasn't made to order and I don't know how fresh it was. It tasted good but if you're the sort who needs freshly made food, this info's for you. Space is tight so come here at an off-time or solo. Avoid coming here with a large group. Not only is seating hard to find but the delivery process (your name is called from behind the counter) can get a little tricky with a ton of folks in the dining room making noise. I don't know what the other locations are like but if you're in the area and looking for some tasty, (relatively) quick grub, you're in good hands.* *I have no idea if proximity to these sort of cuisine bumps the assumed star rating up or down. For someone with no easy access to this kind of food, I was satisfied. read more

I've been to this Howard location about 4x now and here's all you need to know: * Has seating (limited) * More options for main dishes! There's a pork dish, and a few new vegetarian choices * Combo plates are mix and match. Meaning, I got a veggie main and turkey momos for a set $12 price. The Post St is either chicken with turkey momos, or bean stew with veggie momos. * Same addictive momos and tomato chutney, although they give slightly less sauce * But, also in my experiences, the main dish and rice portions are bigger here All in all, it's one of my favorite spots in SF. I've been going to this place since they were a tiny kiosk on Market. Great for lunch. The service is super friendly and professional. I feel like the employees actually choose to be there- to a certain extent... The food is so good. I always get the veggie binis- the dumplings. They have good non-veggie options too- chicken, lammmmb, and turkey. They come with this delicious sauce poured on top. It's not-too spicy but you taste the spice and not-sweet but there is a sweetness. It's awesome. I often will get the combo too, because it makes me feel like I'm eating more. I think it is more food too. Comes with lots of rice and a generous portion. Today, I got the cauliflower and peas, which has more flavor than any cauliflower I've ever had. And, that's ultimately why I love binis. She doesn't hold back on the spices like a lot of Nepalese and Indian places in SF do. There's actual flavor!
