I absolutely love coming here! The staff is what keeps me coming back. I wish I could name everyone, but today I want to recognize Jessica, Destiny, and Alondra. I usually schedule morning appointments, but I decided to switch things up and come in during the evening. Check-in at 6:00 p.m. was smooth, but the line afterward was long. I could complain, but this is what I signed up for--and honestly, it could have felt much longer if it weren't for Jessica. Her positive attitude made a huge difference and set the tone for the entire experience. Yes, I stood in line for nearly an hour, but I truly have no complaints. Destiny and Alondra were professional, kind, and attentive. Even after what I'm sure had been a long day, they went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. The donation process itself was smooth and completely hassle-free. It's easy to complain when things don't go perfectly. Instead, I'd rather give Jessica, Destiny, and Alondra their flowers. Unless you are literally in dire need of money or have a burning desire to donate blood do not waste your time coming here. completely unorganized and you'll spend 3hrs waiting and the employees do not care what so ever! I donated plasma at this location on July 4th and left extremely concerned about basic infection control practices. The staff member I believe was the manager (male, Asian) performed four needle insertions on donors, including myself, without changing gloves between donors. He then removed needles from four donors, again including myself, using the same pair of gloves throughout. He also did not wipe down or sanitize the donor beds/exam chairs between donations. As someone who works in the medical field, this is a serious breach of standard infection control protocol. Gloves should be changed between every patient/donor contact to prevent cross-contamination, and surfaces should be disinfected between uses. I'm sharing this both as feedback and as a safety concern that I hope leadership takes seriously. read more

Friday 6.5.26 It's pretty convenient that 3/3 individuals back to back to back at the end of the day all had too low of iron to donate. Made the place closer to being empty to close up faster on a Friday night. (Update .. make that 4 people now. At the time of me writing this, yet another individual was turned away) From now on, we need proof/evidence in written form as to why we cannot donate that day. The same way you give us written explanation on what to do with a hematoma. It's our own medical information and we should have a right to it anyway. Furthermore, When you've sat in two hours of traffic to get here, simply telling me I can come back tomorrow, yet not telling me how to address and fix the issue is complete and utter As a company, how dare you left staff conduct this type of lack of respect to individuals trying to help. This is literally gas money to get here and back for me so trust me when I say I don't do this for the money, personally.... ..But many of them do and I know I'm not the only one who was treated like this. Telling me my iron is at 38 and needs to at least be at a 39 doesn't tell me a damn thing. Can I have too much iron also? Would give negative stars if possible this place is terrible they don't know what they are doing here. Was a first time donor I get checked in, my vitals checked then stuck in limbo for over 2 hours. Had enough of them wasting my time so I left. Highly warn no one else ever comes here all they care about is taking care of the regular sonars as they are the only ones getting helped any other new donors except them to waste you time. Staff is very disrespectful and rude didn't say anything to us about the long wait for about an hour and it was because they are under staffed. I have been giving plasma for almost two years now. There are a few staff members that are absolutely amazing! I'm deathly afraid of needles, but their gentle touch makes it almost painless. Today I asked for Deborah. She's easy to work with and there is very little pain. Others I like to recognize are Joel, Bianca, Krystal, carol , Evelyn, Anahi, Becca, Alondra, and Stephanie! I was excited to sign up and become a plasma donor. I made an appointment and had to come all the way to the Corona location from Huntington Beach because the closer location in Lakewood didn't have any availability for a long time to take the new patient physical. So I drove an hour to Corona and then had to wait about 45 minutes before any exam started. Let me say that everybody who worked there was very friendly to me and it seemed pretty organized and really impressive inside. My complaint is less to do with this location and anyone that works there because I do think they were all really nice and kind and doing a good job. My complaint is more with the business as a whole and what they put on the website for information. After driving an hour, waiting for 45 minutes to be seen then having my finger pricked going through everything you have to do I then go and meet with the nurse, who was lovely. From there, we go over my medical history and I told her that four years ago I had cancer, but I don't need more. She then said if you have a cancer diagnosis, you have to wait five years before you can donate. Nowhere on the website does it mention that. It mentions things that may make you be disqualified but the word cancer doesn't even show up. This seems like a very easy piece of language to add if you have been diagnosed with cancer, you need to wait five years post remission to donate. If that was just on the website, I would have never wasted my entire day today. I would deeply advise you to update that and be more transparent for people because I just wasted my entire afternoon, now have to actually pay for gas cause I came all the way out to Corona and it could've all been avoidable. read more

Had a 6:15am appointment. Left the house at 5:30am. Scanned in and was told to see the nurse. Supposedly I need another annual letter from my doctor. I understand safety. I understand "CYA" and proper documentation. Was denied donation and left without compensation. Wasted my morning. This denial cost me more than the $40 compensation. Next steps: Go to my doctor with the form (letter). Doc must sign the form. Get the form back to BioLife. Hoops to jump through. Time is money. We had an appointment on Thursday at 6pm and was told the first time appointment was at least 3-4 hours so we asked for the next available appointment the next appointment was for Sunday at 2:00 pm . We arrived for the appointment and 1.30 hr we are told we won't be able to continue because they close at 3pm Yet we told them we are new patients and they still made our appointment for one hour before closing time. Online they show appointments all the way to 7/20pm when the center closes at 7:30pm , none of the staff knew anything about time or the donation process. Went to go donate blood and I had to take a personal questionnaire which took quite long. My son has been sick so I've been in contact with his teacher. I went to check my phone and got told to go home and reschedule by a rude nurse. Emergencies can happen and I think they lack sympathy. This place is so unprofessional besides the lady upfront everyone is rude. They try to belittle people just for the fact that the company pays you for donating which is completely disgusting behavior. I've been donating consistently for almost a year now. I don't understand the donation pay, the lowest was $94 a week and highest is $125. I've made it at least once a week. Staff is great. In the past year Ive donated 57 times, it will be a year at the end of November, I have been bruised twice. One occasion the bruise took almost 2 weeks to heal. Can't complain though because I take some part in not being fully hydrated. My biggest and only complaint is the wait time. You will definitely be here at minimum 2 hours. It's rare you get out in an hour and half or less but it does happen but for the most time you're looking at 2-2.5 hours. I just wished they worked on that a little more read more

This morning, on February 1st, 2025, I had the most horrible experience with the nurse in the back room. She had dark hair in a pony tail. I was told to go see her because I have light bruising on my right arm. She asked me to pull up the arm I was told looks bruised. Being dyslexic and also part of the spectrum, I made the mistake of pulling up my left arm at firm and then I realized it was the wrong arm. When I showed her the right arm, she called me dishonest in a very condescending tone. I have been coming here for a long time, but I won't be back. I feel the nurses need to have better people skills and not accuse patients of being dishonest. I drove two hours and this is the last time I will ever go there. read more

I have donated here multiple times for over a year and they have been pretty good. Staff is friendly but they have a lot of issues with certain staff members. At one of my visits a patient next to me was calling staff because he had pain they asked to adjust his needle and seconds later started shouting that his arm was bulging. Staff member said they would get him ice and canceled his donation. Two visits later same staff member adjusted my needle and seconds later I started feeling pain and blood started forming. He suggested I switch arms I said I didn't want to continue due to donating the same week on right arm. Didnt seem understanding seeing of what they had just caused they replied I wouldn't get "paid" I don't care I was worried about my arm. I got ice and told to ice it and should be good in a few days. Bruise lasted 4 weeks and pain on my arm continues months after. The staff ignores my messages that I have left on the voicemail and never have gotten a call back. I understand we sign forms stating of what can happen but not returning calls or ignoring patients while on hold is just not right. Again I know they are understaffed a lot but still should not be an excuse not to return a patients call to address concerns on this. read more

Understaffed once again, the yellow section is not even open. Oh and to top it off, out of the 70 something times I have been here, there has been soap in the men's restroom maybe 4 times. Pros: (1) They are good with the plasma donation part, I had zero bruising. Cons: (1) They do not manage time well , (2) Staff are not all trained to standards, providing different information or approving/disqualifying documentation. (3) Do not take a resting heart rate properly, they have you stand and sit then take it immediately, its 5 minutes SITTING ONLY!!! (4) FDA says that only RECENT surgeries can place someone on a donation hold, I dont think surgery performed on 06/11/14 qualifies as recent if today's date is 11/22/24; not by any means & surgery type isn't grounds for disqualifying according to FDA & BioLife after I performed due diligence. (5) I reported blood in the bathroom on the door, as exposure is something they are supposed to be avoiding at all costs, they didn't remove it in the 3hrs I was there on 11/20/24; they'll find any reason to deny a person it seems, including blood exposure, and then create/allow an environment for it to occur &/or continue; ridiculous. Details: I first came in Tuesday 11/19/24 and when they took my heart rate (which is always healthy range) after standing and sitting back down they sent me home for it being too "high"; you have to wait more than 10 seconds, its 5-10 minutes of sitting to get a RESTING heart rate. They don't understand this there. So 3 hrs of my time and gas money driving waisted on this date. Return 11/20/24 & have to do the whole start up procedure AGAIN. This time I pass and donate plasma with no issue. I return for second weekly donation 11/22/24 and they inform me I cant and to see nurse who informs me my doctor needs to sign a release form regarding my surgery that took place over a decade ago!!!! . This is total BS. This time 2hrs of my time is wasted so far. Now were at 5hrs of my time and 56 miles of gas, wear & tear to my vehicle this week, & this time for time for something an email could have addressed. Also, the FDA regarding plasma donation says that it has to be a RECENT surgery, so are they just following their own absurd protocol? I want to know the actual person at this facility making these calls, the person responsible. Irony, they took plasma from the arm I had surgery on with no issue on 11/20. Now, we haven't added up my time faxing these forms to my most current neurologist, as the one I saw for my surgery was over a decade ago plus researching dates and info. I was released back to work over 10yrs ago. The Brain and Spine institute is no longer even open, they closed not long after my surgery, so they cant provide the information. This is now not seeming worth my time one bit and I am furious. Last, but not least, I came in with a coupon now for which I wont qualify for the last payment or up to 3, depending on if my doctor gets me this back in a timely fashion , as the doctor they have that reviews these is only in on Tuesdays & Fridays. The US provides around 2/3's of the worlds plasma, you'd think they'd be more efficient, but apparently its not necessary for them. It's unfortunate that most of the reviews for this location are 1 star. That is not fair or accurate. You have to be patient and understand that donating plasma is not a quick process some days. I have learned that each visit can be anywhere from 1-2.5 hours. It's a gamble and you do not know if it will be a busy day, slow day, fully staffed day etc. Please give grace to the employees as they are doing their best to get us all in and out safely. I appreciate Deborah, Joel, Hailey and have enjoyed getting to know many of the other staff members. Every visit the team has been friendly and helpful. It bums me out that most people leaving bad reviews because they had 1-3 bad experiences. So they decide to give this location a bad reputation. (I have also had days of long waits, bruising, painful inserts, waiting for a long time after the plasma process is complete and I'm cold and want to go home. It's a part of the process. So please be patient. Complaining on here does nothing.) Regarding the team not changing their gloves - false. I have witnessed them changing their gloves after every interaction with a donor. I will say it again, you have to be patient when donating plasma. It will not be a guaranteed in and out time. Open up your schedule so you're not stressed about leaving at a certain time, eat a good meal prior, bring a book or work on something on your phone while waiting, take some deep breaths and be grateful for the compensation and benefits of donating plasma! Obviously I'm being sarcastic, I've stoped coming to this location because of the absurd wait times, and reading the reviews, it seems like the company really couldn't give a fuck about the donors and their valid complaints. I was sitting down on a chair and didn't move forward because there was no point, I would have to stand for who knows how long. One of the employees has me move up and everyone along, like me sitting down is what is causing the long lines and not the absolute cluster fuck they have going on of not enough staff. First off the receptionist is so rude. First she tells you you're late (5 mins turned into more mins) after she is taking others before letting you check in because someone else tried to check me in but she quickly dismissed them and said she's got it. Then when asked if I ate I said not yet (I work the 3rd/Night Shift so I ate on my last break 3 am because I knew I had to) and she takes me into a room where I think I might start the physical but no she just tells me that I can't donate because I need to eat. And I said I did last night and before I could even start elaborating she quickly just hands me paper about the requirements including taking a stab at me being late. I've gone to a different plasma donation centers and they'll give you snacks so you can eat while you wait. They want you there. The small Asian lady with short black hair that was doing my physical was already giving me attitude while asking me questions and it took about 2.5 hours just for them to deny me because I had gotten an ear piercing 2 months prior?? I have so many complaints! They have no concern for your time. The biggest issue is when they have one person screaming everyone it can take over an hour to even see if you're eligible to donate that day. Imagine standing in a line for an hour knowing there's a good chance your heart rate is going to be too high, especially because of how long you're standing in line. And then you have to sit in the time out chair which only raises your anxiety and heart rate. Then you switch prescriptions to help with your heart rate, which causes you to fail the questionnaire... and of course they don't tell you this until after you wait an hour to be screened. And the BEST part... if YOU are more than one minute late you lose your appointment. All for what? read more

BioLife you have a serious problem with your lines How can you expect donors to except $90-$100 to donate plasma when the entire process including waiting in line, and the draw take well over three hours? There isn't a shortage of donors, but maybe you should look at your competitors and see what they're doing right. For example, octapharma but they don't have an annoying appointment system, and they have a reasonable turnaround rate for their donors. I have never been a Octapharma for longer than an hour and a half for the same donation. Get your act together read more

Made an appointment for 12- hydrated and ate the day before and the morning of- but apparently I didn't eat enough- the front receptionist treated me kindly and asked for me to return at 1:15. I understand and did that, checked back in at 1:10. A guy in front of me apparently had an appointment for 5:00 but wanted to go earlier, the new receptionist said it's not busy so they can fit him in. I proceeded to wait 40 minutes until I went back up to ask again when I would be helper, the receptionist said they'll get to me. The guy who rescheduled also only waited around 10 minutes, I saw him leave before I was even called back up. I waited another 10 minutes and was finally helped, then needed to get my information entered into the system, then waited only a few minutes and needed to get medically cleared, and Aidan was nice and professional and medically cleared me. I then answered the questionnaire, then went to the receptionist and waited another 15 minutes for my physical. I get my physical done and I'm not able to donate because I have mild eczema on the testing site(which was never asked and Aidan also saw my arms during my examination). All together extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and most staff is generally rude. I had my appointment at 12 pm and didn't get out until 3pm (without even donating) No compensation for my time other than a reluctant apology as I was leaving. I'm not the type to complain but this was by far a terrible experience. The staff seemed like they didn't know much. For one, I got treated weirdly and got asked odd questions about my allergy to cats, when they could've just asked if I was currently experiencing symptoms of my very MILD allergy to cats. More-so, I've never had an issue at hospitals drawing blood from the extraction site I have eczema in, especially since my case is MILD. I am upset to say the least. I have spoken to 3 people, and have sent 4 messages. Nothing's been done. I was promised $120 a week the day I signed up. This was supposed to be for each week. somehow I got locked into $115 a week. This fact is causing me to lose $20-$25 per month. They are giving my friend $120!!! And they are only giving my other friend $110. This is not acceptable....I've now had four solid weeks of $115...so far they owe me $20!!! NOT HAPPY AT ALL BEING CHEATED AND LIED TO!!!! read more
