The person who answered the phone was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and inconsistent with the other employees and the website in the information he provided. The delivery was significantly earlier than the advertised time. You will have to be careful about their delivery services - it seems like they only reliably deliver to UCSF Mission Bay and Stanford, so you may have to closely monitor your email after placing an order to see if they will actually deliver to your location. Flawless service from start to finish. I submitted my order online (a large-format 27x40" scientific poster, plus five smaller 11x17" copies) through the website and uploaded my PDF at night, with minimal hassle. Vince e-mailed me back the next morning to alert me to the fact that one of the figures didn't look so hot when printed, suggested adding a faint gray background to the whole thing, and attached another PDF proof of his suggested change. Good eye -- I realized the problem he had noticed and decided to fix the figure itself rather than change the background, which he was also able to handle quickly. Very responsive by both e-mail and phone. It helped that Vince has a experience with scientific posters when talking about the poster components -- e.g. he immediately understood which figure on the the poster was "the chromosome diagram." He delivered everything by lunchtime: the full-size poster, wrapped in a paper loop with my name printed on it; the 5 smaller printouts with my final layout; plus a couple of the smaller printouts of my original image (where he caught the problem) and a couple more of the same size and quality with his gray background, at no charge. All the printing looks great, and the prices are the best I've seen in the area. read more

I used biotech productions for a scientific poster. It came out beautifully! Don't think twice about choosing them for your poster needs. It was around 9pm when I submitted my request online and sent the file. As per the instructions online, the request was within 2 days so I called (at 9pm) expecting to hit a voicemail box but surprise, a human walked me through my request. Told him, I needed it by 1pm next day along with the other posters requested at the nearby university for an event. Before learning about biotech productions, I was worried about getting a 40x60 poster in time, thinking I'd need to go to the only 24 hour Fedex nearby (the financial district) early morning to get it, since most fedex's need a 24 hour notice or some don't have that size printers for posters! Nope, didn't have to do that. And it was delivered to where it needed to be. I got a call when he arrived and found him with the posters. I will choose them again easily over Fedex. Prices are comparable if not, cheaper (mine was), and they delivered locally for free. Files sent in the morning can be delivered in the afternoon same day. It doesn't get better than that. read more

I flew in to SF for the 2010 Spring ACS conference from Rhode Island and I needed my poster printed overnight. From my impression, the company seemed to be run by one person. I forget his name, but he was always at his phone. If he didn't pick up, he would call you back within 10 minutes. He offered to print my poster and deliver it to the Moscone center for me for cheaper than if i had printed it at Kinkos. The online forum only asked for a payment, which I thought could be sketchy, but since I had talked to him on the phone, he seemed like he knew what he was talking about. I had to email him my PDF file. He came and dropped off my poster in a van. It didn't seem all that professional, but it got the job done. I was happy. I used this service once before and the poster was delivered fine and very quickly. My girlfriend tried to print with him, and there was a mistake in the order (which did not affect him-- it just would have delayed the printing and delivery). He cussed her out, dropped f-bombs, harassed her, etc,. on the phone for no logical reason. I'm in shock that this person would react in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Never using this service again. You can get your printing needs taken care of with other companies that are professional and do not harass and cuss out their customers on the telephone. read more

Awesome quality printing & amazing service!!! A total life saver. Two night before deadline, I emailed asking about pricing and timing (which I later find on website...dah). Not only I got a gracious reply suggesting several options, I also got a personal call asking if I need any additional info. The night before (actually 6am of that day), I submitted the poster online. At 8am at the airport, I realize I made a mistake (arghhhh...) and quickly email vincent asking for help. He was very quick to respond and sure enough, he ascertained that I got my corrected version printed out. I really appreciate multiple quick emails we exchanged where he promptly responded, worked with the new ppt I sent him by email, fixed the problem and best of all, have the courtesy to email back to assure me that things went well (so I can stop freaking out). The delivery was on time and he personally called to let me know of his arrival. And the best part is the printing was perfect, no pixelation, very nice material. Vincent is a LIFESAVER!!!!! He is absolutely AMAZING!!! i cannot say enough good things about him. I was totally screwed, and needed to get a science poster printed out in a very quick turnaround and on the cheap bc im on a student budget!
