Food was excellent, service was a bit slow. We came to the Vinoy to do a locals only spa treatment that came with a facial, a massage, and $25 credit to either parasol or Paul's landing. On the card though it's only said parasol however we confirmed with both the Spa and the hostess that we could use it at Paul's Landing. The one downside came when it was time to check out our waitress needed a manager to be able to use our credit and it ended up taking a very long time until we were able to get our checks. This place is beautiful and quite large inside. If you sit outside, you have a nice view of the water. We sat inside just because it was so hot. I got the lobster roll with a side of fruit. The fruit is actually really good, not your standard mixed fruit. This one had mangoes, dragon, fruit, blueberries, pineapple. It was absolutely delicious. The lobster roll is very good too and had a lot of lobster. I actually felt like it was a steal for only $25. I tried my friend's sweet potato wedges and they were delicious as well. I was really impressed with the food here. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you're at the Vinoy. The decor is bright and cheery and other than the wait time at the end of our meal, we had a great experience here. read more

I wasn't expecting much from a poolside bar/restaurant, but we were very impressed by our breakfasts. While staying at the Vinoy, our breakfast was included. Monday-Friday is one menu and the weekend has a buffet and smaller menu. Friday, we had the Avocado Toast and Vinoy Benedict with fresh squeezed orange juice. Our waiter, Michael was prompt and friendly. Both dishes were excellent. The toast had an interesting crunchy topping (although the egg added on the side was barely warm). The Benedict came with a huge crab cake, very fresh and excellent texture. The poached egg cooked perfectly (no slimy egg white). It didn't come with sides; potatoes would have been nice. Saturday, we were surprised to see a buffet, but happy to hear it was included (a chance to try more items). The spread isn't huge, but the quality is exceptional. Bagels were fresh, pastries typical. Fruit was flavorful, granola was house-made and very good. The citrus yogurt was absolutely delicious! Scrambled eggs not overcooked and not runny. The smashed potatoes were great, too. The French toast didn't wow us and we were glad we hadn't ordered that the day before. But they have little bottles of real maple syrup to go with it. Bonus points! We were at get Marriott Marquis in NYC a week ago and people had raved about it being the best M Club in the nation. The breakfast buffet was expensive but mediocre. So hard. Last night we had cocktails & delicious smoked fish dip. Excellent pours & yummy dip with efficient exemplary service from Molly- 5 stars!! Then came this morning. Waited 10 minutes for water, another 10 for coffee - ordered food at that time. Many servers & not overwhelmingly full tables. Everyone waiting for food. After 45 minutes, we gave up & left. The Vinoy Resort is a beautiful, historic property and our check-in experience was excellent--exactly what you expect from a hotel of this caliber. Unfortunately, breakfast was the complete opposite. We were seated at a table that still appeared to be in the middle of being cleaned, then waited roughly 30 minutes with no greeting, no water, and no one taking our order. During that time, two other parties arrived after us and were served drinks and had their orders taken while we were still waiting. I eventually had to get up and complain just to receive basic service. When the food finally came, it was average--nothing memorable and certainly not worth the delay or frustration. The setting is lovely, but the breakfast service communicates a lack of attention and care that doesn't match the standards of the hotel. If you're staying at The Vinoy, I'd recommend enjoying the property and sleeping here--but skip breakfast and eat elsewhere (or consider an alternative option that doesn't depend on slow dining-room service). read more

I liked the Pink Hotel - this gin cocktail comes with a gelatinous hibiscus flower you can eat. The fries are good and crispy! The buffalo chicken sandwich is the best! We were walking around downtown and I hadn't been to the Vinoy in sometime ; we were looking in the gift shop for some " St. Pete " gifts and decided to stay for lunch. The food was amazing , I had the lobster buratta salad and my husband the burger . Both were fantastic. The service was great and even the server was willing to research were their fish was sourced . It's set outside by a beautiful view of the bay, the pier and the marina . I wish we were sat closer to the railing but it was a beautiful day and happy to be outside in general. Very nice breakfast restaurant for Vinoy hotel. We had breakfast here two mornings and the food was delicious. Except little complaint for their Lox and Bagel item on the menu. The "citrus cream cheese" tasted like rotten butter (I had to ask for regular cream cheese), their capers were so fishy tasting, hard and really dry (I think they were roasted, but well..), and marinated onions also didn't help. If they had regular cream cheese, regular red onions and normal capers it would be sooo good!! All the employees were friendly, as well. In the evening we came to try few of their cocktails and they were also delicious. Would definitely come back again! Also, I saw a waiter bringing out juices to two ladies and when he stepped outside all napkins fell on the ground. He picked them up and put them on the table for these two ladies. I booked Paul's landing for a Friends's birthday lunch. We sat inside with a beautiful view of the marina. Our table was ready on arrival. Birthday girl ordered 6 oysters and a salad, my friend and I had the salmon with vegetables. It was delicious. perfectly cooked, but there was very little food. Six oysters is $24. We also ordered the hummus appetizer and a very very small amount of hummus came on that plate. I guess when you're eating at a restaurant in the Vinoy that is to be expected? Our server seemed very rushed, never stuck around (inattentive) until the very end. Overall, though we had a great time. I would choose somewhere else for food options, but the ambience here is beautiful and fun. I recommend maybe doing drinks and an appetizer and having a main course elsewhere. We were staying in the hotel with our dog & the hostess at first told me pets were not allowed in the restaurant, but she then consented and allowed me to eat in the outdoor area with the dog. We stayed at The Vinoy, and because it was cold outside, we didn't care to walk to nearby restaurants and the main dining room and no openings for over 2 hours, which would have been past 8 pm. So we went to Paul's. Appetizers were terrible. The fish tacos were terrible/inedible. The sweet potato fries were good, and the guys all liked their steaks, but none of them ate their mashed potatoes. Or broccolini. I ordered an old fashioned, and I did not see the cherry, so I asked for one. The waiter went and got one, but before he gave it to me, he totally embarrassed me by saying "are you sure you didn't get one?", and then grabbed my drink, held it high and turned it around a few times until he spotted it. It WAS hard to see!! He then said " do you still want this cherry?" as he was holding still holding it in tongs up in the air. Seriously???!!! He also spent a lot of time leaning on the wall by the bar watching us eat. I told my husband and the others that I thought this guy wanted us to hurry up and leave so he could be cut or whatever. ( we were 1 of only 2 tables in there, besides the separate room that had a large and very loud crowd.) I felt very uncomfortable because of this server. Older, bald guy. Idk his name. A leisure Sunday afternoon, strolling around from the Parkshore after brunch to check out some of the renovations at the Vinoy... beautiful. We decide to grab a cocktail near the pool at Paul's and really great views - open air seating, views of the pool, views of the water and boats on the water at the marina... I had a frosé with a sangria floater (but apparently it dropped down to the bottom.. that's ok. It was a hot day, the frosé was melting rather quickly It was cold and tasty. That's all that mattered. Service was on point...it's not that hard. Attentive and make sure you're filled up or want a fill up. That's what our server did. I wish I knew his name to give him a shout out... Meal was excellent and the bread was toasted great. I was sitting on the deck during a beautiful sunset dinner, and my food came out, and it was stacked high full of toasted morsels, but I couldn't quite set my eyes on. The entire dinner made my face reach levels of happiness that I've not had in such a long time. Once I've been into the food, I realized I have reached toasted heaven. Long wait to be seated despite very few diners, because no one was at the reception desk. Ignored by several staff walking by. The only thing correct on my Bfast order was a side of crisp bacon. My eggs Benedict arrived cold after a substantial wait. I had requested extra hollandaise, which did not come, which was actually a blessing since it had no taste at all. Definitely needed more/some lemon or vinegar. The sliced tomato I requested in place of the potatoes was rock hard, unripe and flavorless. Even the cold ham on the Benedict was bland. Thank heavens for those three strips of warm bacon. Did not see my waitress until after I was done (someone else delivered my plate) eating. The two tables beside us were waited on multiple times during this time, so that was strange. Paul's Landing We had a group dinner at Paul's Landing during our recent trip to St. Petersburg. The service was good throughout the evening. We ordered a variety of starters to share. They all were well prepared. Service was slow, but a group of 14 can be challenging for the kitchen. The preparation of the main course's was a bit of a hit and miss. Many received complements, however, a few did not. For example, the medium rare hamburger that was ordered was served rare and cold in the middle. The management did not handle the feedback/criticism very well. The management also did not handle well our being seated a few minutes past their 10pm closing time. They were quite rude pushing us out of the restaurant. In summary, I would recommend going to one of the many excellent restaurants nearby the hotel. read more

This is such a cute hotel. We stopped in for a quick drink and snack. Easiest access is if you park on the street. We parked in the parking structure and got a little lost finding the restaurant. The outdoor patio is the ideal spot to enjoy the views and fresh air. Great raised view to see the water and surrounding businesses. They had fun holiday cocktail options. The deviled egg bruschetta was something I had never had and it better than I anticipated. Very clever way to use a deviled egg mix not in the egg white. A pit stop on our way to Annata Wine from the North Shore Park. We walked by here many times and didn't realize this place existed! It's part of the great Pink Vonoy Renaissance hotel. You get a view of the Marina and the pool depending on which side you settle. We only ordered drinks and hush puppies since we were on our way to the charcuterie board. My $13 Blueberry Fizz cocktail was not very impressive. It was blueberry but lacked the FizZ. This eating almost went down to a 3 stars but hush puppies saved the points. They are one of the cheapest on the appetizer and they are delightful. I don't know if the bread had some poppy seeds but they are light corn textured, slightly lemon-y and perfectly crispy on the outside and succulent inside. Our server was also friendly too and he understood on us holding back our appetite for Annata winery. read more

Gorgeous poolside & rooftop restaurant at the Vinoy. The recent renovations are beautiful and carry all the way to the beautiful, bright and airy restaurant. We came for breakfast and knew that with our Marriott status we were entitled to a sort of continental option complimentary. It turned out to be coffee, juice, fresh fruit and a pastry of choice (croissant, danish, bagel etc.). We did a little upgrade and added some items, but we were so impressed with how fresh everything was and the array of choices. All of the pastries are baked fresh daily by the Vinoy in house pastry chef who has won a ton of awards in the industry. The croissant and bagel were delicious and unbelievably fresh. The OJ is also fresh squeezed and tastes direct from the orange grove. Our server Meredith was so kind and went above and beyond to ensure we not only had a great breakfast but had an overall wonderful stay at the property. We look forward to coming back and trying dinner or lunch here. read more

My friend and I enjoyed a delightful lunch outside under an umbrella with Sean as our server. The view over the marina area is nice and the entire restaurant inside is adorable. It's just that with COVID still as health crisis we eat only outdoors. Sean was extremely efficient and nice. His service was top notch. The prices for the food are a bit higher than surrounding restaurants in St. Petersburg that are NOT on the water so you are paying for the location and that's ok. $20 for a fish sandwich with sweet potato tots that are so yummy and $18 for fish tacos with a side salad that was fresh and crisp made for a bit of a pricey lunch but worth every penny. Highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts as a sharing item. Oh my! The kitchen is doing a great job. read more

We enjoyed our lunch with friends who were staying at the Vinoy. Modern with a very cool and colorful tropical decor. They need more outside seating with shade. We ate inside for that reason. Inside is pretty but the restaurant is loud. They need soundproofing. We loved the food. We shared shrimp advocate toast, edamame hummus. Roasted Brussels, grilled asparagus. These were all fantastic. His fish tacos were ok. His quinoa burger was ok. Nice craft beer selection. Seeing the Vinoy hotel was special. Overall a nice dining experience but on a pretty April day in Florida, we would like outside dining with shade too. read more
