4 of us ate here for the first time. It was OK. It was a little over the top for us. The chicken crust has large black pepper pieces with lots of spicy pizazz. We are simpletons though. I would've been happy to see a honey butter chicken biscuit or something boring like a plain ole chicken sandwich with Mayo and pickles. You don't have to get chicken though. The cinnamon sugar biscuit donuts were good. The biscuits are great. You can use the restroom and wash hands inside. It was a cold morning, and we didn't know you had to eat outside or take it to go. And when I came out of the bathroom, one of the cooks was wearing socks and sandals and it confirmed I never wanted to eat there again. Bird bird hits every time!! The wait is ALWAYS longer than they quote during the order so just expect that. Totally worth it! They're busy nonstop from open to close, but that doesn't interfere with the friendly service! At this point, I've tried everything on the menu except the dough doughs and every item was just as good as another and comes down to flavor profile preferences. Parking is limited and the lot feels like a game of Tetris but nothing a little patience and close attention can't solve. Bird bird is worth all the minor troubles! read more

Amazing food! I ordered from uber eats . I got the queen peck which is the best fried chicken breast i've ever had, comes on a biscuit with pepper spiced honey and a chipotle type mayo, i got mayo on the side im glad i did the combo of the fried chicken and honey was plenty of flavor for my tastebuds. I was worried about it being spicy but its really not just a mild simmer as an aftertaste. My friend got the biscuits and gravy it was really good and we split the cinnamon biscuit rolls, they are big the size of an extra large egg and they are amazing with a cinnamon sugary goodness crisp to the outside and soft on the inside, i would not have guessed they were made from biscuit dough. I've eaten here a handful of times and each time has been great!! I always order online and my food is hot and ready when I arrive. They send you an email receipt plus a text when your order is ready so that you can pick it up fresh and never have to wait! The portions are amazing for the price and the staff has always been all smiles. The food is flavorful and seasoned really well. If you're not huge on seasoning then just mention it to the staff or in your online order :) it is outside only but it's a cool corner spot with coverage, very Austin-like! read more

The food was delicious!!! I got the fries, and firebird- my tastebuds were in heaven! From the thick pickles, all the way to the dill mayo everything was perfection. It does have a nice spice to it but nothing that's unbearable. I'd say the same level of heat as flaming hot Cheetos. The chicken is so huge that I could only eat half of it, along with half of the fries- saved the other half for breakfast the next day. I finally visited Bird Bird Buscuit recently and it was...okay. They had one vegan sandwich option on the menu which I was grateful for. It was a little on the dry side and I had to use water to try to make the sandwich easier to swallow...I finally ordered a side of honey (which was an up charge if a whopping $1), and that made the sandwich a little more edible. Overall, I'm glad I got to try this Austin favorite finally, but I would not return. read more

Best Chicken Sandwich in Austin! Nothing compares to having a perfectly homemade biscuit, until you combine it with a perfectly crisp and moist piece of fried chicken. The problem with most chicken sandwiches is they can get soggy or the biscuit is dry and crumbly, but not here. Both the biscuit and chicken had a really nice crispy outside and stayed very moist on the inside. Also get ALL of the sauces including gravy! Amazing gravy! and the chipotle mayo combined with their bbq sauce was sooo good on the fries. This is not just another chicken place, this is somewhere you NEED to go if you are anywhere near!! In the pictures below I got the queen beak with fries, all the sauces (included the dill mayo which was sooo good even though i don't normally like dill/pickle flavor). And we got the Dough Dough's... Get them!!! It's fried biscuit dough covered in cinnamon sugar. You really can't beat that and they perfectly compliment the sandwich! I've only done pick up at Bird Bird Biscuit. They're always very gracious & the resilient cheerleader is fun. The pesto is delicious & the biscuit's are yummy. My favorite is Lovely Day, I add an organic egg. The marinara dipping sauce is yummy. This last visit added in a chicken breast, it was fried and a little spicy but also very yummy. Absolutely ridiculously slow and poor service. I waited over 30 minutes for a pickup order of one biscuit sandwich. I checked in when I arrived and was told it was coming up and would be ready in a few minutes. There is limited space and seating. I am disabled and cannot stand long or walk easily. After waiting for a while and checking with the staff to ask how much longer it would be and explaining that I couldn't stand long or wait much longer, after more than 30 minutes and asking again, I was told that it could be another 20+ minutes until my food was ready. Nearly an HOUR for one takeout biscuit. I did not have time to wait an hour for the takeout biscuit that I had ordered in advance, before arriving at the store. They need help getting it together and at the VERY least giving accurate time updates. Come here if you have time to waste. read more
