After reading all the positive reviews I was excited to try this place. Haven't been able to find good bbq here like we had in Texas. Went for lunch today with my son. Ordered onion rings for an appetizer. Reading the menu I couldn't find brisket anywhere. Not on the nachos, one two or three meat plates, or sandwiches. All I ever get is brisket and sausage. Finally found the brisket. It's in small print under each item for an upcharge of anywhere between $5 and $10. For example the sandwich is $19. They are happy to sell you the cheaper meats at a premium but if you want brisket you have to pay even more. If we wouldn't have already ordered onion rings we would have left. Son ordered a burger and I ordered fries. Ate almost all onion rings and one was raw and still had powder on the inside. Fries were good, son's burger was good, but we can get burgers anywhere. I did bring the onion ring issue to the waitresses attention just so she could let the kitchen know. When she brought the bill, they had taken the onion rings off. I did not ask them to do that, but they did it anyway. read more

This was our first visit to this restaurant so the hostess gave us a mini tour and explained the menu to us. Our waiter was equally as eager to serve and helped us with what items were especially good. I ordered smoked turkey, burnt ends,potato salad and bbq beans. The food arrived in a timely manner and it looked like a healthy serving. The smoked turkey had a very obvious smoke flavor and was delicious. The burnt ends were good with a nice crust and tender and juicy meaty goodness inside. I didn't like the potato salad, nothing wrong with it, I like more traditional potato salad. I loved, loved, loved the bbq beans with the small squares of meaty pork mixed in. None of the sauces really appealed to me, the ghost sauce was too spicy for my taste, the sweet and hot and the original didn't appeal to my taste buds. The meats were so well smoked and cooked that the sauce wasn't the boss in this instance so I didn't need bbq sauce. There is plenty of inside and outside seating. The place is clean and a very comfortable ambiance. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. The service was spot on, not bothersome but attentive and pleasant. The prices are reasonable and the number of menu offerings were sufficient. I like bbq a lot and I like Georgia Boys BBQ a lot so I will be back in the future. read more

I was heading to Denver to fly out. I was craving some Que. I an a Georgia boy, so of course I had to try this place! It's in a super cool downtown area. The restaurant had a ton of seating. Including a very nice outdoor area. I sat at the bar though. The service bar was OK but not great. But the old-fashioned I got was good, and the food amazing. Portions were not huge, but plenty big enough for what I paid I got a trio of pork belly, turkey, and sausage. With slaw and fried okra. Sides were decent, but nothing special. But the meat was all really good! They have a very large variety of sauces all of which were good. Overall, I was very happy with my mail here. Making George proud! read more

Everyone here was so friendly! Southern hospitality for real! We had the ribs and the burnt ends. Both were great- really tender and a nice bark. I would have liked the sauces to be a little better- at least the sweet heat to really be sweet. The sides were excellent- the baked beans had huge chunks of meat, and were really flavorful. I loved the sweet potato casserole too, the candied nuts in it were amazing. The cornbread was simple but the epitome of all cornbread's. Highly recommend and we will be back. read more

Mehhh...Just your average BBQ spot that gets the job done when you need that fix. Portion size was to be expected but on the smaller side for $20+ combo plate IMO. Pretty light on the meats portion and pretty standard side sizes. As you can see, the brisket was so dry it almost turned into jerky lol. They could've given me a pound of brisket for free and I wouldn't even want it cause I couldn't even finish what I received (4ish small pieces). Pulled pork was pretty solid, had some decent bark and would probably get again. Might try a sausage or some wings next time, who knows. Sauce was kinda needed for everything though as the pork was a bit try as well, but not nearly as bad as the beef. The sweet n spicy sauce was definitely my favorite of the group and I do appreciate the bottles out so I can get however much I want. I bet the apps are pretty solid though. Fries might've been the best part, thicker, crispy and fluffy inside. Mac was definitely more on the cafeteria side vs home made, but we finished it no issues. Overall, definitely not somewhere I'd go out of my way for but if in the area and in the mood, I'd go back again honestly. All around great day! We had a large party and two of us were doing the challenge so we called weeks ahead and set up a reservation. The manager was a great communicator and they even sent a text reminder the day before. Once we got there.....all of the staff were amazing and friendly. It was a very fun environment and a super relaxed atmosphere. Now on to the food; overall a decent place and I highly recommend going in. The kids menu looked great and that alone made me excited for the food. Both the cheeseburger and the chicken fingers were complete winners. Again I did the food challenge and I am a big guy; I don't think I made it halfway. I will break down the parts of the challenge. The ribs are top tier and completely fall off the bone tender. The hotlinks were decent quality but not spicy. The brisket was my favorite of the entire meal. The pulled pork was dry (I know they do that so i you can add your own sauce) but even so I thought it was too dry. And then there was the ghost pepper wings.....I really feel like there is an unneeded fear of the heat. Now don't want to say they aren't hot because they definitely bring the heat but they have a great depth of flavor! They also have the ghost bbq sauce in bottles on the table and I used it on quite a bit of the other meats. I was not a huge fan of the seasoning on the fries and that was the backbone of the challenge. I would definitely come back and just have a normal meal. I ordered from the Food Truck when they visited my residence. They have a great selection of BBQ meats, sides and even dessert! I ordered the deluxe dawg bowl with Mac n cheese and brisket. It was Awesome . I also got ala cart item chicken thighs and banana pudding for dessert. Everything tasted good and the prices are amazing! I ordered from the truck but they have quite a few locations to order from. They have a pup bowl for kids and a great ala carte menu as well. I might have to check out one of their locations because the online menu at georgiaboys.com looks delicious and offers even more choices than the truck. The personnel are pretty great too ! A beautiful summer day calls for some bbq. It's street parking for this joint, but it's not a terrible walk as everything is pretty close. The bbq was alright, but the service was my big takeaway from the restaurant. My sister and I had a wonderful conversation with the hostess as we made our way to our table. She was so lovely and kind. And our waitress was just as nice. Buff Chick Mac Bowl. For this specific dish, I think pulled pork would've tasted better. The chicken had too bold of a flavor, and I didn't much care for it, which, in turn, made the whole dish taste off. I had Georgia Boys at their food truck so things could be different at one of their permanent locations. That being said, I enjoyed the BBQ for the price. I tried their pulled pork sandwich and all of their sauces. The sandwich was your standard pulled pork sandwich; their sauces are what made it satisfying. Their mac and cheese was good, but I've had better. I had to try the cilantro lime slaw and as someone who doesn't like coleslaw, it wasn't bad! I probably wouldn't get it over the mac and cheese, but it was fun to try. Finally, I tried one of their tacos because when can you get tacos at a BBQ joint? My taco wasn't super hot which definitely influenced my opinion on it, but in general I would skip it next time. read more

The maple whiskey chicken was pretty scrumptious, and while the chicken wasn't dry I felt like the overall sandwich could have had more moisture to it. I don't know if the intent was to douse in the bbq sauce but that overpowered the whisky maple flavor. The fries were tasty but could have been crisper and the Mac and cheese was similar to krafts. They had a variety of bbq sauces which were fun but not something I enjoyed in their own. We ordered take out here a few days ago so I can only speak on the take out experience. Not sure if dine in would have been different but regardless, here's my thoughts! We ordered two plates, the Texas Two combo plate and the 1/3lb bbq brisket w/ 1/3lb ribs. The brisket - pretty good, but sorta dry. Definitely could be more tender but it is flavorful. Ribs - not gonna be fall off the bone but it is good for the price. Hot links - my favorite out of the meats we got! They were juicy and flavorful The original and sweet heat bbq sauces we got were good and complimented the meat really well! We would like to give this place another try sometime soon but for now this is my rating! read more

Great space, fantastic menu, and stellar service! We came for the wings, had some BBQ, and left happy. Our server Jay was outstanding. Full of great recommendations and always made sure we were taken care of. Their wings now hold a place in my top 5 wings! We got their hot buffalo sauce and it delivered on both heat and flavor. The wings were still crispy without being oversauced. Seriously can't wait to go back for more. My hubby got the Pit Master which comes with The Pit Master Sliced beef brisket, smoked provolone cheese, onion rings, and house made BBQ aioli on Texas toast comes with a side and he got fries. The fries are thicker than I like, but had some good seasoning. I also ordered a burnt ends sandwich. This is what they are known for and often sell out before dinner. I got the Mac and cheese as a side. It was creamy and delicious. I tried a bunch of the sauces and liked the sweet heat one the best. I also ordered a Manhattan and it was acceptable. In Colorado for work from Ohio thought I would stop by and get some barbecue before I fly back tomorrow I called. I had asked ahead if Burnt ends were available they said yes ordered carry out 10 minutes ahead of time waited for 10 or 15 minutes handed me the bag drove to my Airbnb and this is what I got clearly dry brisket lacking flavor.
