Freaking love Birdhouse!!! I don't even like fried chicken that much but this place is just awesome. They have options for original, spicy or honey butter and I personally think the spicy is the best one. They also have two sauces for dipping: ranch and bird sauce. Both are amazing. The chicken has a great crunch to it and the thighs and legs are super moist. The breast is better if you are super hungry but not quite as flavorful as the other parts of the chicken. The fries are always crispy and seasoned well (also fun to dip in the sauce). The Mac n Cheese has Fritos dusted on the top, which is a nice touch. I thought it could have been cheesier but, it was still good. Coleslaw, broccoli salad and pickled veggies are all decent but, the fries should definitely be your go to. You order at the counter and then choose your own seat. They have great outdoor seating for a casual evening dinner. Definitely don't miss it if you're staying in Page! read more

For sure worth the try! Discovered this hidden gem when I was in Paige, Arizona and I'm so glad I stoped by! One of best authentic fried chicken I ever had. Had very flavorful season fries along with their crunchy top creamy mac & cheese. Had very friendly staff and was welcomed right at the door. Quick, easy order (Friday night) and he was quite friendly and kind. Their spicy chicken sandwich on brioche bun was excellent (large portion but also moist with perfect crunch with their homemade pickles). Hubby is more of a food sob and also loved their chicken - didn't need their sauces but noted and appreciated the fresh herbs chopped and added. Side of pickles with carrots is a lovely touch. Also, that our phones hadn't updated yet and we were in a new time zone, so they weren't actually open yet. When we did finally order, the menu was straightforward and I got a honey butter chicken sandwich, and my husband ordered a 2pc spicy chicken with mac and cheese. We sat on the very nice covered patio, and the staff brought out the food quickly. The flavor and textures were all so good. The spicy chicken was perfect - not actually that hot but definitely enough to justify spicy. The mac and cheese was super creamy and flavorful. The owner(?) came out to check on how our food was, and we realized they had thrown in a bonus drumstick in our order too. I was honestly a little disappointed that by the time they were really open there was no more Kpop playing, but all in all it was such a good experience. Spent 2 days in the Grand Canyon, 1 day in Page, and 2 days in Sedona. Bird House had the best meal we had in all of Arizona! Found thru Yelp as it popped up as the #1 spot of best reviewed and highly rated. It was close to Antelope Canyon where had just finished our tour. The girl behind the counter politely and enthusiastically guided us to order at the bar on her side. I asked her what her favorite thing was on the menu since everything sounded good. She said the chicken sandwich. I got that but the spicy version and a side of brocolli and bacon slaw. Within a few short minutes our order came out piping hot. The sandwich was made up of 2 large chicken tenders, lightly breaded, fried, seasoned, and covered with a spicy creamy sauce. It also had 2 dill pickles. The bread was really yummy. Soft, fluffy, and fresh. I got a little messy eating it, but nothing a few napkins couldn't handle. The spice level was perfect, not too mild, not too hot. The sauce was the icing on the cake. I could have bathed in it! The brocolli and bacon slaw was sweet, savory, tangy, and fresh. It nicely balanced the spicy chicken. My husband got the same thing but seasoned fries instead and I may or may not have stolen a bunch off his plate when he wasn't looking. The restaurant is just off the main drag in Page. First thing we noticed was the big chicken out front which is awesome. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is great. We chose to sit outside. You order at the counter, take a number and they bring the food out to you. Service was excellent. Food came out quick and we had at least a couple folks ask how everything was and if we needed any they. They also grabbed our tray and glasses as soon as we were done. Food was great. Me and my wife both had the chicken sandwich with fries. I had the spicy which was hot but on over the top. The chicken was super juicy and tender. However they prepare the outside of the pieces is perfection: crispy, but not hard, and super flavorful. And then the meat itself is so juicy! Do get the honey butter. Don't get the breast. I ordered the #1 which should have came with a breast, a wing, a side, and a drink but they were out of wings so they said they'd give me 2 breasts but I didn't want 2 so I asked for a thigh instead of the wing. The honey butter was delicious. It wasn't overly gooey or sweet but just sweet and sticky enough. The thigh was moist and the skin was so delicious and crunchy yet chewy. I would avoid the breast if I was you, it was dry! I was expecting it to be more moist but I was wrong. My friends who got the chicken sandwich or the tenders said they were moist so I was surprised the breast was so dry. The chicken rice was alright, wasn't as fragrant as I would like but the rice was fluffy. The cold slaw could have been sweeter, this was the most bland cold slaw I s ever had! The lemon is good. Also ask for the house sauce which is like a honey mustard sauce. Inside was cozy. I wish they had more hot sauce bottles because there was only one set for ketchup and hOt sauce. read more

I ordered online and thankfully the order was ready within 10 minutes, which was convenient. Picking it up, I got 10 tenders with mashed potatoes, broccoli salad and mac and cheese. Here's a pro-tip: dip that chicken in those mashed potatoes for a bite of heaven. Their birdhouse sauce is worth getting, but I had no idea how much I needed for 10 tenders...so I got too much and felt wasteful. Next time, I think 2-3 containers is plenty personally. Great local gem in a unique setting (an old drive in sonic). The only thing that outdoes the custom restaurant setting squeezed in the drive in is true great tasting food!! My kids had the chicken strip and fries and they were amazing and perfectly complemented by the home made ranch and honey mustard dressings. Stopped by Page, AZ, after visiting Horseshoe Bend. It's about 20 minute's drive from the Bend. It was Sunday/lunchtime and the place was 90% full. You order at the counter and then you fetch your own water, utensils, napkins, and condiments... and you bus your own table at the end. Just a few things to think about when you are forced to tip in advance while counter-ordering. We decided to get an assortment of their chicken fingers via one of the family packs that also came with two sides. Food took longer than expected (a solid 15 minutes) so we had ample time to go to the restrooms to wash the dust off from our morning horseback ride. Note: the bathroom is located about 40 feet, outside and around the back of the restaurant (yes, key is required from the cashier). Food: The Mac/cheese was awful... neither the two adults nor the two teens could finish more than their first spoonful (it tasted microwaved and the cheese seemed like a liquid confection). The pickled veggies were much better. Of the chicken tenders that we got, the honey-butter was everyone's favorite. All of the chicken pieces were large portions of breast meat (roughly 1/8 of a whole breast each). The fried/batter was substantial but not too thick... think Raising Cane's and not KFC. The house and the honey mustard were our favorite dipping sauces, although you can't go wrong with ranch either. The service was great as well, staff was super helpful and made great recommendations on the sandwich. Recommended we do the Eddie style, which was mixing the hot and the honey sauces, incredible!
