I've been here about 5 times and it seems like it's been better lately than it was in the past. The food is always really good, especially the bowls and apps. Got the pretzel bits one time and they were burnt. Other times the food is perfect. The staff is always nice, but service can be slow at times. I don't golf but I like guys that do. The food is pretty good, the service is not, but I'll recognize I'm not the target audience for big tips. The simulators look cool, my golfer friends love it here, but I didn't try one....yet. Overall this is a unique and cool spot to golf, eat and drink when the weather sux. When it comes to golf simulators in the Twin Cities region you'll be hard pressed to find any better than those at Birdi. While the strip mall façade makes Birdi easy to overlook, they have ~10 simulators and a sizeable area/bar for those just looking to grab a bite or a drink. The beer list is decent and they have a pretty wide selection of bar food - it's not a dining destination, but it's nice to have options in between swings. Back to what matters - they use GolfZon sims with moving platforms that have realistic tracking. Yes, the courses on offer are somewhat limited and feature a lot of Asian courses locals might not have heard of, but they still lap many of the local competition. Reservations can be booked online, prices are reasonable, parking is ample and service has always been friendly enough. It'll continue to be a place I tee it up at regularly when the weather doesn't allow for golf outside. read more

I've been here before and have eaten mediocre lobster rolls on their patio, they are good for happy hour. Came with my family today for Mothers Day brunch. I made late reservations and was happy to have gotten this choice at such short notice. When we arrived there was one table in the restaurant and another couple playing golf. What the heck, it's Mothers Day, where is everyone? Keys was packed with a 45 minute wait. I know why there was nobody there, the food. I've had better breakfast for free in hotel lobbies. I think the eggs were powdered? The biscuits(s) were most likely frozen with a doughboy on the package, or in a tube. Sad looking breaky pizza, dried out cinnamon rolls. The potatoes were too wet, and the other too dry. The bacon was the only thing good and my auntie liked the waffle. For $30 it should've been better. I didn't take any pics but it was terrible. We came as a family to check this place out. Service was great and they were very much on top of it. Highly recommend the bloodys as they were Better than your average bloody. Breakfast food - majority of us ordered breakfast sandwiches and they were just okay but nothing to be raged about unfortunately. Served with potatoes that weren't the most flavorful to compliment it. Someone also ordered the biscuits and gravy and very much said it wasn't anything they would eat again, it looked that way too. The simulators themselves were your average simulator. A suggestion would be to put nets fully around them so the balls don't shoot backwards. Our balls kept getting stuck and not automatically popping up so that was quite a nuisance. We also very much felt rushed out of our pod 15 minutes before our time was up, it was odd that they were so keen on getting us out of there when there were 5+ pods open for people to go and use verses rushing us out of our precious paid minutes. Curious to see how this place does. Great sports bar atmosphere but the food we experienced won't help it last. Maybe the lunch/dinner is better?! read more

Stopped by after seeing posts on Facebook. First impression walking through the doors was "Wow" You see a modern designed bar and restaurant seating area with such clean lines. Then you see the simulation golf pads lining each side of the facility. It's really impressive. I stopped by to see the place had a perfectly prepared gin martini dry vermouth shaken three green olives delicious. One young man was working on his golf game with his Dad and it was fun to watch. Quickly realize that Birdi Golf has league play, tournaments, corporate golf and food events. Stop by and see what I'm talking about. Went to Birdies for takeout. I was having a hankerin for a Lobster Roll. And Birdies has it. So good!! It came with a side of melted butter. We also had a California Burger, Cubano and the fried chicken rice bowl. Everyone had the fries. Good reviews for everything but we ordered. The burger was huge, cubano deliash. First time we golfed at Birdi it was fairly new and everything was great. Went back tonight and the staff was extremely rude, service was slow and the drinks were awful. Our reservation was until 6:00 and at exactly 6:00 as we were grabbing our clubs a worker (I think the manager) came over and rudely told us we needed to leave the bay now because others were waiting? Seriously, you can't have 30 seconds to grab your stuff. Checkin staff was extremely rude to us and it took forever. The experience ended by the manager throwing our credit cards at us? LOL immature, unprofessional staff and for no reason. We won't ever go back not sure if management changed or what. read more

Do you like breakfast food that takes forever to cook? Do you miss the sounds of the firing range in the background while you eat? This is the place for you! Servers have no idea what they have to serve until it comes up on their handheld device. 3 people offered to get us drinks when we came in but then ignored us when we wanted to order. The constant whacking of golf balls in the background is super noisy and balls bounce into the eating area regularly. Ordered eggs and pancakes. Still waiting for them 30 minutes later. Their WiFi required either an email (though it wouldn't accept any of my email addresses) or Facebook ( which prompts a message that their WiFi login has been blocked by Facebook) in order to use. Needless to say I'm posting this on my cellular data. Won't be back. Update: Got our food. "Breakfast tots" were not tots. Just regular breakfast potatoes that were uncooked. My wife's pancakes were very dense and almost charred on the outside. The eggs were ok but pretty crispy. Thinking their griddle is set too high. Service was not great. We got our drinks and it was 20 mins before our server checked on us again. The coffee was cold in the first cup. My friend had me try her sausage gravy. I did not care for it. It tasted like they used Italian sausage for their biscuits and gravy. When I got my food with sausage Pattie's, I realized that the reason for the odd tasting gravy was the less than stellar sausage. Definitely did not taste like breakfast sausage. We talked to our server a total of two times. The expeditor took care of most of what we needed. Unless you're coming for the video games and golfing, would not recommend for the food. read more

Stopped in here today with my husband for lunch and golf. Food: Amazing! I had the morning glory burger (no pink) and it was one of the better burgers I've had. Juicy, crispy bacon and a perfectly runny yolk! My husband ordered the lobster roll and he enjoyed it. He is a burger guy, though, and after trying mine he wished he had ordered a burger. We actually got to try the PB burger as well because that was the burger I thought I had initially ordered. The server (who was fantastic) felt bad and brought us one anyway! Very nice of her and not necessary. My husband is fairly picky when it comes to French fries and likes hand cut, crispy fries which is what we got. They were SO good! Decent beer selection and full bar. The place is cool looking, nice and comfortable. The Golf: super fun! The simulator seemed very accurate and there are various style games to play. If you have your own clubs, I suggest bringing them otherwise you will be paying $30 to rent a set. (I thought that was a high rental fee). Overall: great food, fun, and friendly staff. The patio is great on nice days. Service is friendly and prompt. Any food I've ordered the several times I've been there has been very good to excellent. Most recently I enjoyed the walleye sandwich. Good brewed iced tea. I don't golf. I can't comment on that aspect of the business, but people seem to be having a good time. read more

This place is an absolute joke . My husband and I have tried it twice . And both times , we had the unfortunate luck of having the short blond bartender . She took almost 10 minutes to greet us , because she was talking to the patrons next to us , asking them if they could post a review for her online . When she apologized and greeted us , she asked us if we wanted to take a shot with her . When we denied , she made 4 shots , one for her , and three for the people she was asking to leave a review . All we ordered were boneless wings , and it took 35 minutes . When we brought it to her attention she replied with , " our kitchen just sucks sometimes ." This establishment is very iffy . Birdi Golf is awesome. I visited there on opening day and right from the start the experience was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, food and drink were honestly better than most traditional sports bars and the simulators are really realistic. The floor moves and there are three different hitting surfaces depending on your lie. I ended up signing up for one of the Golfzon cards and now I can track my rounds and handicap on my phone or play with people around the world. This is a super fun spot to scratch the golf itch or just grab a beer. Even for non-golfers it is a fun environment, especially as winter sets in. read more

I have a different take on the place. After our Sunday morning racquetball I and my 2 friends were looking for a place to eat lunch and thought we checkout the place. Breakfast last to 1pm but decided to have burgers and fries. For the price they were quite good (honestly I didn't expect that). This is a indoor golf place so if you don't like the golf noise, don't go. It can be abit annoying. All golf spot were filled while we were there. Looks like fun and we mIght try it sometime. The bar look very nice and can handle a after work crowd. They open last October so i assume there is kinks too be worked out (we asked for the Wi_Fi password and was met with stares????). Yea, i won't bring the family just to eat due to the noise but overall it looks like fun and hope to go back to play golf. read more

This was my first time here. The golf simulator was great! Our server been there one day and actually did a nice job. Her name was Stacy. She was friendly and pleasant. The bartender we dealt with when we got done was about the worst person ever. She didn't know the happy hour specials and informed us she had only been there two weeks. She did go ask someone. I have never seen more eye rolling, eating and totally horrible customer service. Someone eventually came to help straighten out our tab as she had no idea what she was doing. Yet another delicious meal at Birdi Golf! Don't let the "Golf" part of the name fool you! They do have simulators that were rated #1 by Golf Digest in 2019, but what Golf Digest doesn't know is - they also have great food! I go for the food and the upbeat atmosphere. Today I had sliders for lunch that tasted just like the cheeseburgers I used to eat as a kid. Nostalgic. They even serve breakfast on the weekends now! To me, this is the new neighborhood "go - to" place for a good, high quality meal and an affordable price. The ice cold beer isn't bad either. Good atmosphere, great service and very friendly staff. Had the lobster roll, which was only ok. The fries were really good, nice and crunchy, and hand cut fresh fries. My wife had the morning glory burger, which was really good and nice and juicy with thick cut bacon. Options are pink or no pink. She said no pink and the burger was still nice and juicy. My wife had thought she had ordered the memory lane burger and it wasn't a big deal but we asked our server and she had it down as the morning glory burger, which my wife was totally fine with as it was really good still. 5-10 minutes later, our server brought out the other burger and it was delicious! I'd definitely recommend getting one of their burgers especially with their delicious fresh crunchy fries. The simulators were also fun and best one I've been too! Only bad thing is the ball will sometimes fly back and bounce into restaurant area so there could be flying balls coming at you as you eat. I wouldn't trust the earlier reviews, a new restaurant always has to "get the kinks" out. I've been there plenty of times and absolutely love it! Of course, there is "some noise" because it's not only a restaurant, it's a golf simulator place, you don't go there for an intimate quiet dimly lit candlelight dinner, you go there to have great food and hang out with friends and family in a great atmosphere for fun! The simulators are the highest rated simulators in the world and the floor even moves according to the slope that you are hitting on! It's the closest you can get to outdoor play. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The simulators also have "games" like "darts", the kids really love to swing and put the ball on the dartboard, it's great for kids that aren't even into golf that much. There's plenty of flat screens around to watch whatever you want. They have a fair selection of good beers and a very good selection of spirits. read more
