Really cute inside, I had the birria chilaquiles so delicious! Service was great very attentive. Preety good size for one person. Had a little bit of tortilla left! I really enjoyed these will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu

The food was exceptional can't complain at all about the food had the ramen and tacos today. The service was good if the food wasn't so great would give 4 stars for how long it took for the kids meal to get out compared to the rest of the food. The ambience is great since it's small it makes it feel more homey

Eleventh birria! Staff was friendly and we came close to closing time but still got serviced expeditiously. The Jamaica was great and HUGE! If you're cravigg mg birria you must stop here! It's a small restaurant and very laid back vibes. The food was delicious you cannot go wrong with birria!

You interested in some amazing Mexican food?! Then get off the highway, drive past all those franchise restaurants, and eat at this place! Everyone knows that the best place to eat is where the locals eat and this is the spot. This place is a simple little family owned, diner style restaurant that you can pretty easily drive past, if you're not paying attention. Food - like Birria? They have the best I've ever had. Tender, well seasoned and tasty as heck. (5/5) Service - do you like to get a "Hola, welcome!" when you walk in the door? You'll get it here - very friendly service.(5/5) Ambiance - it's simple, small (seats about 20) and quaint. I mean really...if you want good food do you really care what is hanging on the walls? If you want art, go to an art gallery.(3/5) Did I mention the Birria was awesome? Try this place. If I lived here I'd be here at least once a week.

These tacos were fantastic. I've been seeing these everywhere online and have been dying to try them. Totally worth the hype. So much flavor. The shop is your typical hole in the wall, but look past the dingy space because the food is amazing.

Wanted to see how the birria tacos are in El Paso so as soon as I got off the plane, a yelp search lead me to here. First of all, all they serve here is beef. No chicken or pork. I found that kind of weird. Must be an El Paso thing. Lol. So I got the Quesabirria Tacos($12.99). You get 4 of them in one order. Comes with slices of lime, a cilantro/onion mix, red and green sauce, and of course the consome to dip it in. I suggest you eat these quick because when they make the tacos, they pour some of the beef broth into each taco. So by the time you get to the 3rd and 4th taco, it is falling apart . Definitely get this for dine in. If you get it to go it's all going to be completely soggy by the time you get home. I also tried one of their aguas frescas. They had horchata, jamaica, pina, limon, and melon in which was my choice. The melon($2.99) is basically a cantaloupe flavor. It was just ok. Did not taste like real fruit unlike some other places I have been to. Service was friendly. I was afraid the lady was going to talk to me in Spanish since I looked Mexican. You order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I just wouldn't recommend the melon frescas. Not sure if any of the others are better. Give it a 8.3/10. Flavor is great, the salsas for the chips are fire. Consume had good flavor but for me I like it a little more reduced. The tacos could have been a bit more crispy but overall great spot for birria. Great service, small spot but it works.

Absolutely delicious! The tacos were made quickly and were made to perfection. Best Birria I have ever had.

All I can say is WOW!!! Don't judge a book by its cover... This place is really small but gives you such a home feeling... The menu is self explanatory although it was in Spanish. The staff were sooooo nice and helpful. This is the best and most flavorful birria I have tasted with staff cooking almost in front of you, it was fast and hot! The chips were homemade and fresh and the 3 salsas were great. They even had a drive through! The price was great and they don't serve beer but there's a store next door and you can bring your own in if you'd like. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

After following this spot on IG I finally decided to try it annnnd so glad I did! For the price you get plenty. I would have been happy with three of the Quesabirrias but the extra was very satisfying. The birria tastes CLEAN if you know what I mean. There's no fat taste which I've experienced elsewhere. The Sprite de Mexico complimented it very well. I'll be back for more.

As a self proclaimed expert in the field of birria, this was the first thing I looked up when coming to El Paso. I ordered the plate of 4 birria tacos, and it did not disappoint. Tacos were hot and delicious. Consume was also hot and full of flavor.

First timer here, booked a hotel near by to rest from driving up from Cali up to Fort Worth. Saw the reviews on this place and wanted to try it out It's in a pretty slow traffic area (which is better for me for quicker service lol) we ordered the QuesaBirria 4 count & Birria ramen. Both the tacos and ramen were delicious! I would recommend asking for extra limes & onion to add to your food! The only complaint we would have is that everyone there were on their phones. We needed couple more minutes to take a look at the menu and when we were ready to order, the girls there were sitting down and scrolling through their phones and when we were ready to pay, I just walked up to the counter since they were on their phones again to pay. Other then that, food was amazing!!! Customer service... not so much

It's a little hard to find tucked back in a little strip center. The inside is interesting decor with different theme walls. What was nice is that the staff was very friendly. It was close to closing time so we ordered fast and got our chips and salsa quickly. Loved the homemade chips and that they were still warm. Salsa was ok. I liked my fajitas but I wasn't as blown away with the taste as my co-worker. I had a few pieces of meat that had grizzle when I bit into them. It wasn't as seasoned as I was hoping too. Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

While the food was never the primary…read morereason I returned, the excellent margaritas and outstanding service kept me coming back for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

About 8 large chile toreados, grilled onions.and plenty of corn tortillas. The charro beans were mostly bean soup. I actually poured some of the bean soup into a bowl so we could serve ourselves to avoid some spilling. The baked potatoes were generously bathed in butter. They did not provide any other toppings for the potatoes. Personally I think some sour cream, or Mexican crema de la Mesa, some chives, some other toppings would have been nice. The queso fundido was good but also a disappointment. It was missing the chorizo that I had paid extra for. The meat was very good. Well done but not dry or hard to chew. I was pleased to see that the chicken was not cooked into dryness. We did come across a couple of meat grisel or what in Spanish is called "nervio". This place has a small sign that states that if you pay with a credit card a 3% service charge will be added to your bill. I am pretty good with math and I pointed out to the cashier that they actually charge 4%. He did make a correction on my bill. Be ware of your bill. Otherwise they do give you plenty of food. It reminds me of a Mexican parrillada/ grilled cook out. The food here was very good, good tasting, and in spite of the small glitches worth it. We will be returning again.

Looking back, El Cometa is what started my taco obsession. Their tacos al pastor con queso are so good. The marinated pork is perfectly seasoned, a little greasy in the best way, and topped with melted cheese. One thing I love is their salsa bar. I always grab the red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole. I pile all three on my tacos, and every bite is amazing. Their tacos remind me of my favorite tacos at the resort my family visited every summer in Cancún. Even though it has been years since I have been there, El Cometa brings those memories back with every bite. The staff is incredible. Last summer, the hostess recognized me right away and seated me immediately. She even remembered my order. I order the exact same thing every visit: tacos and two cans of Sprite. The fact that she has been there since I first started coming in 2019 makes every visit feel like coming home. From 2019 until I moved away in 2022, I went there almost every week.
