When I saw them at Ventura Coast, I was super excited as I really enjoyed the burrito last time. This time the wait was over 45 minutes. The burrito had less meat and was mostly rice. A food truck with one guy taking orders and making them isn't efficient. Especially on a Friday night. Another guy eventually came but the wait was well over what it should be. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I had wanted to try Birria El Guero for a while and was excited to see them at Ventura Coast Brewing. Husband went and ordered three quesobirria tacos and birria nachos. The guy working said that there was one order ahead of us, and that he would bring our food in when it was ready. My husband confirmed with him three times that he would bring in the food. We waited. And waited. And WAITED. I was going to go out and check but had seen the reviews of long waits so was trying to be patient. After an hour I went to use the restroom and headed out to get an update. The guy was sitting at the order window with his phone in his hand. I asked, "Order 42?" He said, "Yeah it's been sitting in the window there ready for half an hour I'm sure it's cold now." I replied, "What? You said you were going to bring it in?!?" He said, "I did but I didn't see you." I said, "We've been sitting at the bar this entire time. There are about 8 people at the bar and about that many scattered around. We could not have been hard to find." He offered to reheat (not remake) the tacos only. I was starving at this point so whatever. I reminded him that he had repeatedly told my husband that he would bring our food in, and he was clearly not too busy. He said, "I'm not a waiter. If you would have had the decency to come out and check you would have known it was done. It doesn't take that long." I replied, "I wouldn't think so either, but your YELP reviews say otherwise." Cold af nachos and reheated tacos were actually pretty good - which is too bad because I will NEVER buy anything from him again. (Also hubs had already tipped him 20% when he paid.) Crappy Experience. I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews but this situation warranted it. Walked by at 1 pm and thought "perfect!" On the way out well have a beer and have some birria. Came back by... grabbed some beers and go to order food. We were told that they have no birria.....LOL.... you're a birria truck and you have no birria anything. Sad. You were just open an hour and no birria. By the looks of it, you never had any to start the day. So we order some food since we saved our appetite. 20 minutes wait. No big deal. Wait 20 minutes go up to the window and we're told "sorry", we don't have the tortillas to make quesminimum. Thanks for telling after the wait. Would have ordered something else but after that, forget it. Took a minute but we finally got our refund after the employee called the owner a couple of times. I don't blame the employee. He did his job. The food (tacos) didn't taste bad but nothing that you couldn't find anywhere else. The Ventura Brewery would do better bringing in another vendor who represented them as a stronger partner. I want to see small businesses succeed but just be competent at a minimim. Either way, I would not recommend this trailer. It's too bad. read more

One of my favorite birria trucks/taco truck! The birria ramen is to die for and the birria torta is super cheesy! Love it. Service is great from the owner checking in on how the food tastes to his workers making sure that I had everything I needed. They also do catering so that was cool when they showed up to a babyshower I was at. They served birria tacos and it was great, everyone loved it and my friend told me they charged her a good price for what they served. Worth the money! Check them out! read more

No easy way to say this. The food here is not good- ordered tacos and the tortillas were not dipped in consume, the meat was dry and seasoned poorly. Rice was cold. Salsa was sitting in the sun. We ended up tossing our food, which is not something I like to do. Would absolutely NOT recommend this food truck to anyone. read more

Wanted to try the birria Saturday at Casa Agria and the guy working the truck said it wouldn't be ready til like 5 or 6 I don't recall. So, that was a bummer. I was hungry so I just ordered some tacos. They weren't anything special. Other times I've been to Casa Agria he's been a no show or late and I think it is odd that he does not accept cash payments for the food but he keeps a jar out for cash tips. I'm not sure how long this review will stay up since he removed negative reviews from my friends with Yelp suggesting they violated community guidelines by way of conflict of interest. I don't know this guy, my friends don't know this guy, we are not even in the food service industry. There are better trucks all around Oxnard and I'm going to suggest to Casa Agria that they try to use some of them instead of this one so often because of the unreliability. read more

Unprofessional owner! I booked him for my wedding and prior to that I had recommended him to a family friend for the quinceñera she was hosting and she reported how rude, late and short on food he was for her. I called him after hearing this from our family friend to make sure that would not happen at our wedding and he disrespected her by calling her names and over explaining to me the situation instead of admitting he messed up. Came to our wedding day and this man was late by 15 mins, his display was so ugly for a wedding, the food was cold and there was not enough food when gave him a larger number of guest but less showed up at least by 30 people. My guest reported he was rude and rushing. He left his van right next to the food and it was so tacky! I confronted him about it and he told me he would make it up by catering for a party of 40-50 guest. I took him up on his offer and he texted me a couple times in between the date we selected and when it came down to the week of he blocked me, blocked my phone, I called him from my work phone and he answered and told me he was working and told me to call him after 6. I called him when he said and he never answered he had my work phone blocked as well, if I didn't try calling him 20 times if not more. I had a whole party set up because he told me he would make it up with that, I had to figure it out myself because this man is a liar. I will never be doing business with him again and I hope nobody ever hires this lousy shady business. read more

We were looking for a quick bite to eat on our way to Santa Barbara and pulled up to the Ventura Coast Brewery when we saw a birria food truck outside. After pulling up and ordering, I then looked at the Yelp reviews for this place (an amateur move by an experienced Yelper, I know, but we were in a bind). The reviews for this place really doesn't do it justice. Of course the workers weren't that nice inside but there were two of them and they got the job done. We got three of the birria tacos and as my fiancé said, "probably top 5 birria tacos I've ever had". They come in two soft corn tortillas with onion and cilantro. They were really yummy and came out hot and quickly which is what we needed. Highly recommend you give this food truck a try! read more

If I could give this place a minus I would. It unfortunate because I always support small business. The food was not great. The service was horrible. Pretty sure they were drinking all day at VCBC. Cups were lined up inside. Took 1 hour and 20 mins to get our food. I walked up and ask how long more it would take to get the food and he said about 10 mins that my order was next. Took another 30 from when I asked. A guy we met in line got his order before me started arguing with them about his order and a whole argument ensued. He called him amotherfucker and told him he was lucky he didn't have his piece on him. Well I guess they assumed my husband and I were with that group and started flipping us and trying to call out my husband too. It was insane. I hope VCBC never has them again. read more

Had it today at Casa Agria and never again. 25 dollars for 6 tacos. Not regular size tacos, baby tacos. Not worth it. Plus the Birria has some weird taste to it. Maybe their secrete ingredient that they should have kept a secrete. The wait for 6 tacos was about 30 minutes. Save your money. read more

Worst Birria tacos I've ever had! Pulled up wanting tacos not judging off the bat, ordered 2 Birria tacos, wanted asada, but had no asada. Wanted salsa but no salsa. Birria tacos were very dry! Wanted lemon but they had none. Came with no napkins. When ordering wanted beans and rice but worked said they would be a while because they had to heat them up.
