Birrieria Estrada is a food truck located in North side LB on Cherry & Market. We were craving birria so we decided to give them a shot. I placed an order through Uber Eats and the food was neither bad nor amazing. Our total was a little over $50 and our order included 4 Quesatacos Dorados, Consomé with meat, Birria Ramen, and a side of guac. Initially we were off to a bad start as they completely forgot my guac but it is what it is. They offer a soft or crispy version of their tacos and although I opted for the crispy tacos they weren't nearly as crispy as I was hoping for. They also skimped out on the cheese in my tacos which is unfortunate as that was an additional charge. The upside was that my tacos were packed with meat and the red salsa on the side was pleasant. I tried some of my bf's Birria Ramen and it was good besides the noodles being a little undercooked. My Consomé had minimal pieces of fat and plenty of meat inside which was a plus for me. Overall, I'd probably revisit just for the sake of convenience as this food truck is super close to home but in terms of taste there are much better birria establishments within the area. read more

THE HYPE IS REAL! I heard about this place from my family who RAVED about this new food truck they had noticed showed up in North Long Beach one day. While running errands one Saturday afternoon my sis and I decided to stop by for an afternoon snack. We ordered a small Consume, two tacos with cheese, and a burrito. As soon as we got home, the food was gone in less than 10 minutes! The star of the show and the main protein featured in all of the dishes is, of course, the BIRRIA, which is the stewed beef. Birria is a Mexican dish from the state of Jalisco. The meat is marinated in an adobe made of vinegar, dried chiles, herbs and spices before being cooked in a broth. The meat is JUICY, TENDER, and full of FLAVOR from the marinade and spices. That's why you'll ALWAYS need a napkin when you are devouring all of this deliciousness. Here's my quick review and you bet I'll be back for more and will be putting this food truck on my rotation! 1 star for no waiting in line! Yes! 1 star for location and accessibility. They are located on the north east corner of Cherry and Market. Look for the Superior Grocery store. You can't miss the festive red colored food truck. This birria food truck is one of my favorite finds of 2022. I drove past it on my way to work for about 6 months until I finally decided to stop and take a look at their menu. I took pictures and went to work, coincidentally all the fatties, I mean, coworkers at the office were craving birria for lunch that day and I suggested this place. Some of these guys are 10 times more Mexican than I will ever be able to claim to be, and I never thought I'd declare it, but pickier than myself (I've been in denial for years that I am "picky") so having them try this birria was going to give me an idea if it was as authentic and good as everyone says it is online. Did they like it? Yes. Did they say they'd order from there again? No. Reason being is, of course, they know of a better spot (which I got to try on the next occasion that we all craved some birria and that spot was phenomenal but a very far distance sadly). But this isn't their review this is mine! My personal opinion? Being as picky as I am and a birria lover as it is my second favorite Mexican dish ever... I liked it! A lot! And you know what I also really liked that I am extremely annoyingly picky about? Their rice! So much so, that I always ask for double rice instead of one scoop and one scoop of beans. I happily request for the beans to be replaced by their Mexican rice. The broth is good but I add a lot of lime and a little more salt to it. The only dish I have tried and will keep reordering is their birria plate. It comes with a generous amount of meat, rice, beans, consume on the side, and all the fixings which I don't care for other than limes. It is very filling as the portions are big and flavor is very good, and the prices are fair. With that beans said, all prices on the menu are including tax, and they only take cash or Zelle. Parking is easy too, they are on the curb off of Cherry right in front of Superior Grocers so you pull into their parking lot and walk up to the truck. Super convenient. The man and woman whom work there are very nice and I truly can't say anything negative about this place at all. I am so happy there's a birria truck close to my job that I can grab dinner from on my way home if my picky coworkers aren't open to it for lunch. Give it a try, you might think it's the best! And even if it's not, it sure is gratifying in all other aspects. I'll keep patronizing it for sure. read more

I have driven past this truck for a long time now and finally decided to stop. So glad I did upon stopping I told the young lady that I would like two asada tacos and one taco Dorado. She looked at me a little funny and then said sorry we don't have asada. Ok just give me three taco dorado please. So I head back to my truck to wait. It didn't take to long at all get my food and head home and proceeded to open the plate they had packed me and was pleasantly surprised with how good it looked and it had the flavor to match. This place is definitely on my hit list now. And as far as the review that said about the finger liking and napkins thing that's why I've never liked open kitchens I can only imagine some of the stuff that happens in the average kitchen. I've passed by this truck and today decided to try them out. EXCELLENT! We ordered 2 Mulitas and 12 tacos. As yiu can see I wasn't cooking tonight. The meat is tender and flavourful. The birria in the taco was really flavorful and everything was super hot, which I loved. I live about 3 minutes away, and by the time we got home, the tacos had fallen apart. I got the quesa tacos.
